Exactly. That's one of the things I don't like with reddit where you can choose to hide upvoted/downvoted posts. So I upvote to not see it again when I refresh, but the damage is done. I wish there was a hide option. (Also so that I can upvote but still choose to have the post in my FrontPage) /rant

I didn't mention hypocrisy. You used fear of judgement as justification for lying. My point was that it doesn't justify lying. Furthermore, we all know why is wrong to lie about HIV. Justifying the lie with fear of being judged is a demagogue way of invalidating the other person's concerns. If you don't mind me asking - Do you work for the government? I was called for jury duty a few weeks ago. The 40$ a day that they pay isn't even enough to cover my rent. Being away from my job for 5 weeks (length of my trial) would have cost me more than I can afford. (sorry for the /rant...)

We always hear that side of the argument - how one spouse stayed home and compromised their career. What shout the fact that they got closer to the kids while the other person got home after they feel asleep? If the stay-at-home partner gets compensated for sacrificing their career, should the other one get compensated for sacrificing their relationship with the kids?
