I strongly recommend giving her book a glance. She went into the experiment expecting to gain access to all kinds of wonderful privilege and preferential treatment, she did find some, but she also found a whole other side of things she never considered before. Also, it ended up giving her all kinds of screwed up mental issues from fucking with her gender identity, so kudos to her for seeing it through.

I'd tend to agree, but only if they're not receiving any government support, which I suspect they are. If I have no choice but to pay for their services whether I go there or not, then it's not unreasonable for me to insist that they treat me equally.

If it's a private company/charity then I don't think they should face legal barriers to operating. If they are to be tackled it should be done so on the basis of a boycott and competition. I think the barbershop is a little different though in that Their service is gendered to begin with, they don't cut women's hair It's a social thing aswell as a business

Does it receive government funding? If so, I agree, no holds barred, go after them with everything. If not, I'd suggest spreading the word to their customers and volunteers explaining what they're up to. Hopefully enough people are anti-segregation and will choose to shop elsewhere.

I was understanding your comment as saying "Women receive more assistance resources than men" as "There are resources that are exclusively available to women that are not available to men." That's exactly the point. If 80% of single parents are female then I'd expect 80% of the resources to go to them, more or less, not 99%.
