There are absolutely 0 benefits to FGM and it is extremely traumatic. Male circumcision in the other hand has a complication rate of at worst 3%. We can debate if it’s right or not considering babies cant give consent, but you can’t conflate the two in terms of harm to boys and girls. -9	circumcision needs to stop! Genuine question, is it fair to equate it to FGM? I’m not saying circumcision shouldn’t be a personal choice and not imposed on you. But FGM has literally 0 benefits for girls/women, and healthcare providers spend billions of dollars to treat women who have undergone the procedure, and it can have lifelong consequences.
