Not sure if you actually read the book like I did, but this book is about standing your ground and having self-respect and teaching men how to treat you without coming off as a nag but teaching via action. I found this book useful OP.

Definitely a generalization. Maybe it's the women I hang out with also, but from my experience I get more out of having male friends than hooking up with guys. Hookups feel trashy and no respect comes from them. Honestly hookups are a waste of a woman's time and resources.
