Someone who gets no partner or only through difficult long strings of rejections. Interesting. And what do you propose? Women being more open to sex with men they barely know? I'm not sure you're concerned by this post. You made a debate post. Were you not prepared to debate?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/26 09:55 PM

Relationships are not necessarily to form families. Disagreed. A relationship has two ways it can go: 1) marriage and family, and 2) breakup. And the latter is a failure. They are "women's priorities", priorities being investing time in her, being exclusive to her, being romantic to her, spending non sexual time with her, ect... which a man can have too, but not as first priority. Oh really? Men don't want commitment? They don't hold it as a high priority? In what world? These things you mention…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/26 09:42 PM

I'd still answer though that I see no reason why men should be expected to both adopt women's priorities and ignore their own. They aren't "women's priorities". Relationships are there to form families. So the priority of both men and women should be to find a suitable partner to build a family with. Modern society places a huge importance on sex itself, but functionally, it isn't that important. It's a means to an end for procreation. Is this a personal attack? I don't see how you could conside…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/26 08:58 PM

Or maybe, those women identify the fact that sex isn't even close to being the most important part of a relationship? Maybe those women actually want a lasting connection, that could lead to marriage and children? It would make 0 sense for a woman to just let any dude bring her to bed right off the bat. which indicates they can't relate to ever feeling sexual attraction Just because you have an urge doesn't mean you should give in to it. You aren't an animal. You are a human being - an intellige…

Reposting my comment here: 'This sub seems to have such a twisted, absolutely self-centered view on relationships, where seemingly, personal sexual gratification is the only thing that matters, without any care about the other person. It's revolting. With such an outlook, you don't ever stand hope of building anything that lasts. Because a real relationship requires outward focus, not inward. It requires selflessness. When you go dating, sex should be the least of your concerns.'

Even if I were to agree with your statement, that those acts are submissive, why does that matter? Are we all so proud these days, that a little bit of humility will kill us? Also, all of those are simply acts of caring or politeness. If you see them as "condescending" or "misogynist", maybe the problem is you.

Lol I am engaged bro. Hardly desperate. I am just being honest. And if you were honest, you'd agree.

It's only "good" to the one doing it. Those other cultures, that people go to, may view sex and relationships completely differently. In their eyes, a "rich" westerner came like a prince on a white horse, and a girl thinks she'll get a good life. But she just gets used and discarded. And then, because she bedded a foreigner, men in her country shun her. "Good thing"?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 03:59 PM

Because I am only interested in long-term relationship (marriage), and for that you need someone you can trust, and someone who has the same mindset, values, etc. If she'd rather go clubbing, while in relationship with me, it just tells me she doesn't have the same understanding of commitment, and so I cannot trust her.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/26 06:05 PM

It would be to me. That isn't the kind of a person I'd wanna be with.

Women across the board inherently believe that they should be the prize in dating and most men should pursue for their affection Hardly. Lots of them actually pursue men. My fiancee kinda did. It frightens most women to have to be the ones chasing behind a guy and doing things to impress him bc there’s the chance that your effort falls to the wayside. The possibility of rejection frightens men too, bro. Not necessarily to kiss her feet but to be at a point where he desires her more than she desi…

I mean according to you, one cannot force others to change, right? That is correct. You cannot really control someone else, you can only control your own actions in relation to theirs. I am very curious if you hold feminists to those standards as well. Feminists or women? Because there's difference. The former is not a rational bunch and never was. And I do hold women to the same standard, though at least on this sub, OP is correct that the ones demanding change, dropping of standards, etc. are …
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 11:50 AM

Demanding women to change, trying to guilt trip, etc. is just a really weak tactic, and it's not a rational thing to do. You cannot force other people to change. But you can control your own actions. If these guys don't like the attitude, behaviour, looks, or whatever, of a certain woman, they should move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 10:59 AM

And this is the new age thinking that relationships fail due to. One must by default always prioritise themselves first. No. For a healthy and long-lasting relationship, you should always put your partner before yourself. That's what growing up is. Children only think of themselves. You can't build something with a child. Not only that, but in a real marriage, there's little place for individuality. Two become one and must think as family, as one unit. That's what marriage is. Something modern p…

Because when you are in a relationship, your actions affect another person. Another person who relies on you. Thus, you carry a responsibility. In a real, healthy and lasting relationship, each partner would give themselves fully to the other, and there'd be no thought "what's in it for me".
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 05:15 PM
18

Nope, not even close. All people care about today is consuming. That goes for relationships too. No responsibility, selflessness, long-term planning. People now selfish egoists, and you cannot create anything with those.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 01:58 PM

Quite frankly, I think a lot of men and women today aren't fit to be in a relationship, for they don't know the first thing about what a relationship requires (e.g. putting your partner before yourself). Everyone's also seemingly obsessed with sex and wants it asap. No thought for family, marriage, etc. I really do not envy anyone trying to date today. If I was single, I'd just rather stay single.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 01:47 PM

Because that shows her liberal attitude towards relationships and sex. The fewer the inhibitions, the less you can trust someone
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 07:01 PM

No. That's not someone I could trust.

Relationships are always at their happiest without kids and pets Hardly. Give it time and the stagnation will eat away at that relationship. Relationships should move continuously towards their natural ultimate goal. I’d rather spend that money investing. To what purpose? If you aren't ever planning on providing for a family, what in the world is the point of acquiring money? You think that'll make you feel like there's a point to existence?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 05:57 PM
2

What is the ultimate point of having a relationship if you aren't planning to create a family? What, you think you will live forever? You think you'll be young forever? No. So you have to think about the future, and about your goals for the relationship. And realistically, a relationship has two outcomes - marriage & kids, or separation. That's it. The reason why relationships nowadays don't last is because: 1) They were started for wrong reasons, e.g. for fun/sex/money. 2) People nowadays are s…

You may live in misery if you sacrifice your youth and health slaving for a company and not having much to show for it later.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 03:28 PM

This internet grading thing is really ridiculous, but the number of couples I've seen with conventionally unattractive guys being with attractive women really defeats this argument in my eyes. This grading thing is ridiculous, because it's not physical beauty you should even be looking in a person, man or woman. What does it matter if you can't stand them, or can't trust them? What matters is what makes someone a good wife/husband. And in women, you look for loyalty, humbleness, family-oriented …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:57 PM

There was a change in behaviour. I suppose, primarily, because I got into new hobbies, such as mountain biking and hiking, which required better fitness than what I was. It also solved my knee pains that I was starting to get.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:53 PM

It isn't an empty platitude, and I am basing what I am saying on my own experience. I got fit because I want to be fit. Not to impress anybody, but for my own health.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:47 PM

Exactly. This isn't a Disney channel. So stop pretending to be someone you aren't. Or do you think you'd always maintain the facade? Look for the kind of woman who's attracted to you, not someone you are pretending to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:45 PM

Disagreed. Not saying one shouldn't put effort into themselves, but you shouldn't be doing all that just to impress other people. You want to exercise, get fit, eat healthy? Great. But do it for yourself. "Just be yourself" isn't necessarily saying you cannot be a better version of yourself. But that you shouldn't pretend to be someone you are not. Get a good job/business and work hard as hell. And sacrifice your youth for the "grind"? To what purpose? Even if you did manage to build up wealth t…

For no reason? Sure. But if it's a man you have every intention of living out your life with and starting a family with? It makes perfect sense. And it is admirable. Humility was always admirable, and moreso in this age, when everyone's encouraged to be maximally egotistical.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 12:13 PM

Because they love their partner and choose to give themselves to them. Something that's quite natural, when you let go of pride and selfishness, two of some of the main things standing in the way of most relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 12:11 PM
-1

It's not about anyone feeling complete, or anyone feeling anything. It's about giving to your partner. Love gives. There is no space for pride or selfishness in it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 12:07 PM
11

Yes. And that is how you form a lasting and loving relationship. You cease being selfish and live for one another.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 12:03 PM
-4

Personally, I think that trusting your partner, relying on them, and being humble, are all admirable traits. Far more so, than pride. That being said, I acknowledge many men today aren't trustworthy for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 07:07 AM
-6

I agree with the first sentence, but the second one... I suppose, we should define "submissive", but is it really unrealistic? At least in my experience, if a guy proves he's trustworthy and actually takes initiative, and cares for her, a woman is perfectly willing to follow his lead. Granted, I don't think women should be "submissive" to every man, because not every man is trustworthy.

Standards or desires? I don't think every woman expects a millionaire for a man. Indeed, most probably do not. So it's not a standard. Would they want a millionaire, were it possible? That's a different question. "the right man will come along" The "right man" doesn't necessarily tick all those boxes you mentioned. I don't know where you live, but in my experience, women don't want a lot. In terms of finances, you should maintain a job and be able to manage your finances. That's kinda it. In ter…

And this entire argument is shattered by one single fact - most men would rather be single, than be either of the things you mentioned.

4

No, I meant loyalty and it is loyalty.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 03:56 PM
4

To some extent, sure. But I think it's reasonable a man won't put too much effort in until the woman actually shows commitment. I also think, though, that no good man would expect or try to initiate sex until well later in the relationship. It's not sex that matters. Loyalty, joint goals, selflessness - those are the cornerstones of a relationship. If you don't see signs of that, from the get go, it's hardly worth moving forward.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 02:49 PM

Men will happily buy flowers, or do anything else, to make a woman happy, as long as she's actually loyal to them. And that's the main thing that many of these lads here don't manage to voice - loyalty. And loyalty, commitment, is what is missing these days. People think of new terms to run from commitment daily. Back in mah day I haven't even heard of any "situationships". Generally, there's way too much pride and irresponsibility around today. If I haven't found someone already, I probably wou…

Because this idea of "equality", while cute, is unrealistic and doesn't work. There has to be a leader. For millennia, that was a man's responsibility and it worked.

Biology isn't a matter of opinion. And an actually healthy and working relationship is precisely when both partners coordinate their actions together. If you insist on acting on your own, while in a committed relationship, that relationship won't last.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/25 11:06 AM

We willingly give up some of our freedoms when we enter into a committed relationship, e.g. we don't date others. I don't see how what I proposed is any different.

Yes in a sense, that he shouldn't travel alone. But overall, the husband is the head of the household. If you disagree, then what do you personally think on the matter?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/25 10:38 AM

I'd rather think, that husband and wife should travel together only, unless otherwise necessary. After all, husband and wife become one in marriage. And this way, you avoid unnecessary worry, or even potential jealousy/suspicion.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/25 10:25 AM

Particularly the concepts pertaining to the spouses' conduct in a marriage, for example, that the woman has to adhere to her husband's wishes, for example, when travelling. Granted, I think this should go the other way, as well, at least to an extent.

Both are extremes and both influence divorce rates and birth rates. In the west, it's not feminism alone, but rather, our too-liberal view on sex together with feminism (and bad economy) is what causes those things. When you give people too much sexual freedom, you warp their view on relationships and sex, and people lose the will, and soon ability, to actually commit. With widespread usage of contraceptives, children have become not even a secondary, but the very last thing to actually think ab…

What a wild conclusion to make from my words. Money is a means to an end - you only need enough to take care of yourself. Other than that, money has no value.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 08:40 PM

Then I guess men waste their prime and fertile years slaving away for a corporation too To some extent I agree, but biology dictates that men have a larger window of opportunity for kids. And, of course, men aren't the ones who have to carry and birth children. are you agreeing to give your wife retirement funds? Are you going to invest into your 401(k)? Birthrates are failing in the west due to 2 primary reasons: Bad economy. Sexual immorality. While feminism partly fueled the second one, it is not the main culprit. Do you think nowdays with so much concern over the falling birthrates husbands and fathers will be more hands on with their offspring? How do you think it will change mens attitude towards their wife? Will we end up realizing that motherhood isn't as easey as we liked to think? reasons why female economic empowerment actually makes us unhappy That's what I answered. It is precisely on topic. It's because your pursuit of jobs affects other, more important areas of life. You wanted an answer, you got it. Have a good evening.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 08:14 PM

Has nothing to do with money perse. For one, it has to do with biology and relationship dynamics, that stem from biology. Yes, men are the ones taking care of the family. And there's a lot more to that, than just money. For another, a relationship is work. Both have to put in the work. If you spend your time sitting on the couch, watching tv and growing a beer belly, you think a woman should be attracted to that? Like, what do you actually want from a relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 08:12 PM

That's not what I said, technically. Also, you asked for opinions, but they are irrelevant? If you don't want an answer, or can't handle it, don't ask the question.

Let us see if they’ll look past the issue of being the breadwinner of the relationship Relationships where a woman earns more are already here. Many. if they can still appreciate a man that is essentially a financial tapeworm. That's different. If he's not making any income, of course that won't make her happy. She'll be raising kids. Why'd she be happy with a lazy husband, who's essentially another child? But if both have income, and the woman earns more, it isn't an issue like you people make …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 07:57 PM

And that's what's illogical. Having kids is probably the most meaningful thing we can do in life. A career? What will you have to show for it? Money? It's a means to an end. It's meaningless. Women eventually get this. Hence the unhappiness. not does this opinion have anything to really do with my post. It has everything to do with your post.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 07:54 PM

Do you resent being "at the mercy of your employer?" Or serving a "corporate overlord?" No, it's a voluntary contract that I can leave at any point. I see these things frequently brought up as reasons why female economic empowerment actually makes us unhappy It's primarily because You waste your prime fertile years for an education and carrier. Ideally, one parent would stay at home and raise kids, rather than outsourcing this job to the state.

When I see statements such as this, I wonder if people here genuinely go outside and talk to people... women will try to use relationships to try to have the best financial options Really? You think an average woman has a conspiracy to get to riches through dating a guy? Wonder, do I wonder, why they'd bother getting an education, then... A woman who's interested in long-term relationship will, understandably, want a man who can take care of himself, and potentially, who can support a family. It…

/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 07:45 AM

It doesn't have anything to do with selflessness, or lack thereof. It has everything to do with what women are atttacted to. I agree though, there is nothing wrong with having preferences.

I never claimed men and women are equal, at least not in every way. We are equal as human beings, made in the image of God. But beyond that, we are very different. And we must be different, for we complement one another, not replace one another.

No man has to pay for a date anymore. Did men ever have to pay for dates? We choose to do so, because giving to someone you love is pleasant.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 05:52 AM

In my relationship, I plan the dates, and I pay for them. My girl is happy to go wherever I'd take her, and while she expressed we can split, I prefer to pay. Because it makes me happy to take care of her.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 05:32 AM

And you are basing this off what data? I don't know any guy, who wouldn't pay for dates. I do, too, even though my girl expressed that she'd also be fine with splitting. Europe, especially Eastern Europe, is still quite a bit more... "conservative" than the West. And the roles reflect that.

It is not a rational outlook, or one that will do us any good. Both men and women should start respecting the sacrifices they each make in a relationship, again. A man takes on a lot of initiative in a relationship, sure. But asides from finances, a woman takes more risks by entering a relationship. She's the more vulnerable party. As such, it makes sense the man takes care of her. Honestly, when I read posts like this, I wonder - what do you imagine an ideal (realistically) relationship to be l…

This type of thinking can only come from modern society, that is so far removed from history, logic, and primal understanding of survival. "Patriarchy"? Before the government took on the role of a husband for most women, women willingly followed men, because that was in their best interest. Without a husband to do heavy labour and to protect her, a woman would've been lost, in the past. There was never some "plot" among men to have dominion over women. That is comic book level of silly, sorry to…

It's not always true, as men can and do become the "selectors" too. I mean, just look at any reasonably attractive guy. He has options. But it's also undeniable that women typically have more options. It doesn't even matter if they have kids, or if they are overweight (to an extent). An attractive woman will, probably, always have more options. At the same time, I agree that TRP is crying about this too much. It's not like men have no options. Pederasty was never seen in a good light in that society, my dude. And by today's standards, that society wouldn't be seen as "sexually liberal", at all. Birth rates have declined because we’ve seen the largest global scale reduction in poverty in human history. Rich societies all have low birth rates, thanks to women’s education, the lack of a need to have 11 kids to offset infant mortality rates, and service/information based economies that don’t need an army of grunt laborers making widgets i…

We are reaping the fruits of the 60s hippie movement, what with entire western civilization slowly dying out due to low-birth rates. Revolutions, as much as they happened, never made things better for people. Think of the French Revolution and the Bolshevik Revolution - they were a bloody, violent, miserable mess, ultimately did not deliver anything better than what previously existed. force the wealthy pay what they should Pay for what? With what? Revolution is a tear-down of the whole system. Will the money even be worth anything? And that doesn't solve the problem of low workforce. Nor of low birth-rates. It is a risky bet…

Defunding police isn’t getting rid of police. It’s about having officers of the law and community policing and services instead of soldiers of the state. And how are you going to achieve that by defunding them? If they have fewer resources, they won't be able to choose their staff as well, they won't be able to equip their staff as well, they won't be able to monitor their staff as well. Lowered birth rates are also due to lower rates of teen pregnancy and lower rates of infant mortality. What d…

Mhm, and you think if we remove police forces altogether, women will suffer less? Amazing logic. I am not trying to make fun of you, but statements like these are absolutely ridiculous. The Left is systematically in favour of public services The Left is against parenthood. Against having kids. Which is why we have an aging society and less workforce. Less workforce = less public services = harder life for all of us, especially women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/25 12:14 PM

"Oh please"... right... You still cannot listen to reason at all. I never even mentioned the women and workforce. I am talking about contraception and birthrates. Future generations will pay for this foolishness. I hope you will have an excuse to tell them.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/25 12:09 PM

Yes and yes. Which is why I mentioned anarchy to begin with. If people think women will live better in a state without police, those people are absolutely delusional.

It goes beyond left or right. It's not a political issue. It's a survival issue. Low birth rates not only make the society SLOWLY die out, but they make life miserable too. With an aging society, you have less workforce and, thus, less funding for things like, say, pension. Or universal healthcare. The fact you people do not understand this... it's mind-boggling.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/25 11:59 AM

Yet the left is going increasingly anarchist, what with the "defund the police", the disobedience and disrespect towards the government, etc. Then you have the issue of abortion and acceptance of lgbt (many young women are now bisexual or queer). Things that created the problem of the birth-rates below the replacement level throughout the western world. We are going extinct. Thanks, inventors of contraception.

But for women it is rational to go towards the left, and for men it is rational to stay in the right. Why? compensate the misoginy in conservative circles What misoginy? The manosphere does not make up majority of the right.

That's because different men are different. I know, surprising. Personally, I have no interest in short-term, "casual" relationships. My goal, in terms of a relationship, is marriage and kids. Not interested in someone, who doesn't share that goal, and doesn't show the qualities needed for it.

It absolutely does. Unmarried couple isn't even a family. Either one can check out at any point. There's nothing at all joining them, other than the child. Unmarried cohabitation is gross, selfish, and bad for children.

I suppose I should define a "bum" - a guy who has no job (or a very poorly paid one), no aspirations, and doesn't try to improve his situation. Basically, a guy who can't take care of himself, let alone another person.

Kids need a stable family with a mother and a father. Marriage gives the best chance for that. Husbands have abused, cheated, neglected, And "boyfriends" (and girlfriends likewise) do so even more. If you two aren't even willing to commit to a marriage, why in the world would you have kids together?

It ain't a strawman, it's just a figure of speech. And if a woman got in a relationship with a man, it means she found him attractive. And also, based on my own experience, most men make a bigger issue out of their physical flaws than women do. It's the insecurity that's unattractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 11:03 AM

It really isn't. Majority of men are in relationships, but it's safe to say majority of men aren't Brad Pitt. But we may agree to disagree.

Nope, that's actually not that important. As in, you should put effort into yourself, be physically active, etc... but as long as you have those things I mentioned, it literally doesn't matter if you are short, if you aren't handsome, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 10:45 AM

What's attractive to women, is a man with a drive (towards his goals), a job, and something to keep himself occupied (no, not video games).

And yet, I saw a bunch of dudes complain that older women won't date them, and that older women are more demanding, while younger ones are supposedly "more approachable". In my experience, women don't necessarily want rich men. But they do want men who have actual jobs and goals for the future. Who don't just sit around doing nothing. "Romance"... take off the rose-tinted glasses and think about the future - is the relationship viable long-term?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 10:37 AM
2

Sure, young people make mistakes. Particularly big mistakes, if they didn't have parents that would drill some wisdom into them. But if a woman's smart and thinks about the future, she won't date bums. And it ain't pride, it's common sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 10:18 AM
1

Yes, a woman who likes you will make it "easy" for you. At the same time, I think it's natural that a woman looks for a man who can provide, at least to an extent. She's thinking about future, and that's important. You should be thinking about future too - what about life together? Marriage? Kids? etc. Not just short-term "fun". If a guy's a bum who wastes his time, she knows there's no future with him. Why in the world would she be invested in someone with no future?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 10:12 AM

You don't need experiments. Just watch how kids play in groups, when no one else is influencing them. You will generally notice the exact behaviours I described. "Natural" and "Biology" have always been words that conservatives use so that they can express their cultural view of the world No, biology is factual. Men and women are different. And not just after puberty. Which is why, naturally, boys and girls do act different. Unless, of course, some adults try to make them act in other ways. no, …

Well, we probably grew up in different times and different places. As long as nobody got hurt, we weren't much supervised. And boys always played rough, which is why girls didn't want to play with us. And as boys, we were fine with that. And it makes sense - we are different biologically. Even before puberty sets in. Which is why I think this is the natural inclination we have, and trying to "teach" people out of it, to "teach" them to "defy gender norms" is a harmful thing ultimately. You can e…

Women and men are different but most behaviours are socialised based on what society finds acceptable I already mentioned Scandinavia - most egalitarian, yet still segregation in occupations that men and women take. They advocate for women acting in masculine ways, taking on typically male activities and jobs, etc. For an example, even another reply here talked about "…

It's not studies. I preficed it with "from my experience". Anecdotal I know, but from what I've seen, this is the behaviour of kids. And yeah, no outside input. It's just that boys and girls tend to have different energy, and so they segregate.

And you proceed to gloss over and ignore most of what I said, only to then come to strawman arguments. To be honest, my argument would be different. I'd argue, husbands should do more hours of labour overall. Not only are men generally stronger than women, but it's a husband's duty to take care of his family. As such, even if a woman was a stay-at-home-mom, I'd argue the husband would still have to take over the housework and kids, once he gets back from work. That's a strange way to put it. It's always "ok" if you decide to. It's your decision. Generally though, if I ask a girl to a place, I'll be paying. Otherwise we'll split, maybe. To be honest, I think society SHOULD be more blunt and honest. It used to be. And it was more orderly for that reason. There were standards. Now, in the west at least, there are no standards. People can walk around and do whatever, and demand the exact same level of respect.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/25 04:21 PM

And I'd have a problem with that, in itself. If some woman is offended by my preferences or views, why would I want anything to do with her? I don't want to match with her. I don't need a person whom I'd have to walk on eggshells around in my life. If that thins out my matches, fine. It's not quantity that matters. I just want one good woman to spend my life with.

Not that I use dating apps, but for example, if personally I don't want to date a fat woman, why would I not specify that in my profile? For fear of offending someone? Same way, I won't judge women for not wanting short men, and writing that down, even though I myself am short for a man. People should instead write what they like todo and enjoy. Yes it is. You cannot shake off the responsibility YOU HAVE over someone you get into relationship with. The obvious thing is, just as I pointed out in my OP, that these things are incomparable. A woman having or not having had plastic surgery doesn't affect you. But dumping a woman who thought you wanted long-term relationship will ruin her. This is common sense bruh.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 05:41 PM

The difference is that many, if not most, people don't want casual sex at all, or don't want just it. If you lie to someone who expects long-term relationship, you are screwing them over.

These two things are incomparable. If you can't tell from the get-go, how does knowledge of plastic surgery affect you? If you liked her looks anyways? You'd first have to prove men are actually being "harsher" on women's weight. However, we never hear women talking about men's weight at all. Maybe you didn't hear it, though I highly suspect insincerity. Chubby men are judged just as harsh, if not harsher. Having said this, the reason why people care about the weight of their potential partners is 1) beauty and 2) health.

"Self" says that it's inward-directed. Self-awareness would make you aware of your own strengths and weaknesses, not necessarily of what women think. women are overwhelmed by low value noise They just typically get more matches, thus giving them more of a choice. Dating apps aren't "made" to "make sure men struggle". Dating apps were made because it (was) is a big business opportunity. It's not a new thing either. No, they really don't. Not in a normal relationship, anyways. As I said, we all may find some people attractive, but we don't linger on them. We don't fantasize. Because we care about our loved ones. Sex is the ultimate expression of intimacy between a man and a woman, when two become one flesh, with the openness to produce fruit of their love. We should only sleep with people we intend to create a family with. Sex is reserved for husband and wife, in other words. To give out such intimacy to just anyone is grossly disordered. It is nothing more than assisted masturbation.

Does a man really value a woman’s virginity if hes trying to have intercourse with a virgin woman whom hes not married to? He values it in a sense that it satisfies him that he's her first. That she wasn't touched by other men. Doesnt that just mean he doesn’t care? After he bedded her, he probably doesn't care, yes. Is it selfish? Absolutely. It's horrible. /r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 07:21 AM

If I only had to choose between these two, obviously B. "I like travelling" is a default thing women say, but it's not attractive in the least. It literally translates to "I like wasting money to run off abroad and do hell knows what". Having said that, I'd want a woman who'd be into sports and outdoors, since that's something I am into. And there's no reason why a "homebody" couldn't be into these things.

Feminism and MGTOW/TRP are two sides of the same coin - both designed to pit men and women against one another and further undermine already disfunctional relationships in the west. Both ideologies shun responsibility and long-term commitment. Both ideologies promote an unmarried, childless lifestyle. Both ideologies should be wiped off the face of the Earth.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 04:37 PM

Then you are implying all those celibate monks in history did not exist? That people didn't in history, and still don't in modern day, hold themselves virgin till marriage? Sexual desire exists in us, naturally, as we are drawn to propagate. A problem arises when people separate the act of sex from responsibility and conceiving new human life.

People are not going to willingly stay virgins Then they can watch their society slowly collapse. Future generations are going to be so proud of our rampant perversion, when they will be the ones mopping up this mess. I am talking about the society's imminent collapse and our need to change things, while you are talking about insignificant inconveniences. The primary problem with modern relationships is precisely "dating" or "hooking-up". The goal of courtship should be to find a suitable partner for marriage and raising a family. Sex shouldn't even be considered until after marriage. And yeah, I know how inconceivable this sounds to most people today. But the thing is that "hook-up" culture, or "casual sex" is more destructive to our society than any war, natural disaster or pandemic. Pretty much the entire western world has birth rates below re…

no, that’s not what makes one a white knight Glad we agree on that. i should add, nobody who holds the hardline view that “there is nothing casual about sex”, that wanting it is “irresponsible and disrespectful towards the woman” and calls it “glorified assisted masturbation” is a reasonable person. Do you deny the biological fact that sex is an act that leads to conception of children?

Asking for a more reasonable approach, when you think about another person and not just yourself, is being a "white knight"? Not taking personal accountability and blaming one's parents is a sign of immaturity. So me using condoms is not showing taking responsibility? Showing responsibility would be to not engage in sex until marriage. Get to know the girl, let her get to know you. Take things slow, so neither of you get hurt. Only get to the next step when you are properly committed. Have your goal to create a family, rather than have shallow "fun". That would be the responsible way to approach relationships for a ma…

In a truly good society, people would only sleep together after marriage. It's not "just sex". It's an act that creates a possibility of conceiving children. It's an act that shouldn't be done with a random somebody. If a guy demands it early on and leaves because you didn't give it to him, you've dodged a bullet. A man that's worth keeping is a man that will have patience and won't be singularly focused on his own sexual gratification. I'm a woman early 20s and I've gone on many dates, but only…

Not sure why women's dating preferences should concern you, OP. If a woman doesn't find you up to her standards, move on. If you take it personally, that's on you. There's plenty of fish in the sea. Also, "women"? You are just putting half of humanity into one group, a gross generalization. Woman =/= woman. Different women have different standards, different goals, different expectations for relationships. If you don't like generalizations like "all men are pigs", don' make them yourself.

This is something a stranger cannot gauge from another stranger. Yes you can. With just a bit of talking to a person, it's easy to see. And you can call "tough love" "toxic", if you wish. On the contrary, to me it seems the feminists mostly hate women. Look at how much they oppose women being feminine, and how much they try to act masculine. Men are not allowed to be weak Men arnt allowed to cry It's not so much about "being allowed", as much it's about men just not handling emotions that way, for the most part. That's what toxic masculinity is. Men are not allowed to be weak. And personally, I don't think there's anything "toxic" about a man being strong and keeping it together,…

Are you incapable of limiting yourself regarding how much and how often you beat off / watch porn? Sounds like projection. Tell that to everyone suffering from addictions. Maybe think a little before speaking? Doesn’t affect my relationship nor my libido, whatsoever Wonder if your wife thinks the same, but if it works for you two - good for you. Generally, p*rn is still not good for couples. As is just proven by an abundance of posts by people concerned about their partners' consumption of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 04:36 PM

Sooner or later it's gonna have an effect on a couple's love life, if it doesn't already. A person directing their sexual energy to something other than their spouse is not a good thing. Root causes of the problems in western dating and relationships are three. First cause is the degenerated morality. Whereas previously the point of relationships was marriage and children, now everyone's all about short term pleasure without responsibilities. A successful relationship used to be creating a stable family with kids, now it's how many "bodies" you "scored". People proudly retell their "adventures" of running around like dogs without leash. Second cause is the selfish and individual…

I believe if the man is the breadwinner, it's only fair for the woman to take care of the house chores and cooking. Both of them need to put effort into the relationship. If they both work, the chores are split among them. At the same time, since the man is stronger, I do think he should also help with the house-chores and whatnot after work, rather than just sit on his bottom. And for child care, there's a nanny who provides the service. Nannies should be hired as last case scenario. Kids need …

/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 09:50 PM

We were talking about the wealth gap between men and women, specifically. And that mostly has to do with personal choices, e.g. what profession route you choose. Which women tend to choose less profitable ones.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 02:58 PM

Look in the mirror bro. Can you at least formulate an argument?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 12:50 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 10:02 AM

Yes well, there isn't some conspiracy where men pass down wealth to younger men... lol If you want to know why most wealthiest people are men, look into psychological/behaviour differences between men and women. Just the fact STEM fields are mostly filled by men should give you a hint on what's happening. Simply said, the reason for wealth gap is personal choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 09:55 AM

Obligated? Of course not all to be a night and shining armour What does a man really gain from this? Nothing. It isn't about getting anything. Believe it or not, some people are able to think not just about themselves. And it's not just about women. If you see someone getting mugged or assaulted, you'll do nothing?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 09:51 AM

First of all, this is for individual couples to decide, not you, or me, or society. Men like to take care of women, if those women accept it, we are happy. That's it. because it makes women dependent on men How? Because I paid in a date with a woman, she's now immediately dependent on me? It doesn't even have anything to do financial standing. If I take a woman on date, I am happy to pay. Unless she wants to split the bill. Given the wealth gap between men and women due to men's societal advanta…

I get that some people here might argue there is no such as "alpha", but let's entertain this for a while. I don't think you understand what "alpha" is, OP. It's not someone who asks for the "pack" to follow them. If, in a group setting, you've ever seen a guy whom others just kinda... naturally flock around, well... that's your "alpha". It's natural charisma, or good leadership skills, or whatever you may call it. An "alpha" could just as well be the "sigma" in an individual setting, but become…

False. Males and females are needed for the species to survive. In no way are they adversaries. males of other species just accept their role as disposable And humans are also very different from every species of animals out there, not just for our intelligence and tool-use ability, but also our way of reproducing. Compared to animals, our reproduction is very inefficient - only 1 offspring (typically), that needs two decades to fully mature. At least a decade and a half to be self-sufficient. N…

Of course fertility "wall" is a fact, but the problem here lies deeper. The problem is that people spend their 20s (the prime fertile age) wasting time with "casual" short-term relationships, running around like stray dogs. Or wasting that time on a building career. And this is a problem not easily solved, cuz modern western society is obsessed with sex. Most would recoil at even mention of holding out till marriage, yet that's one real solution to this.

It may be true in case of some women. All of them though? Obviously it's false. Unless you think all those married dudes working simple odd jobs are illusions or something. TRP podcasts in general are quite disingenuous, bringing in the only same type of women every time, not letting them speak properly, paying them off, etc. Fresh and fit is probably the best example: 1) bring in an OF "model" 2) shame and make fun of her for being an OF "model" 3) shut her down whenever she starts making a poi…

I have to disagree here. as long as both are at least somewhat good-looking, a man and woman will naturally have attraction for each other. And that attraction only grows as they become closer. On the contrary. With a prenup, you set the nature of the relationship immediately: Wife = adversary My money > wife That is not a good dynamic to form long-lasting relationship. If you are just expecting your woman to "sabotage" the marriage, just don't get married bro.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 09:40 AM

If you marry a woman, she's your life's partner who you'll build a family with. You shouldn't spare any money for her. If you don't trust her, why marry her at all? And consider how prenup looks from another perspective - you are immediately telling your wife, before all her family, friends, acquaintances, that you don't trust her, and that you are already preparing for divorce.

but that's not hypergamy How? From what you explained here, it sounds like just preference. Preference for a better partner that both men and women have. It's just that men and women have different criteria that constitutes a "good partner". It's wanting a better man that she can't get And men are doing the exact same thing. I think it's more about being social. Actually social, I mean. Sitting on internet, and particularly listening to feminist/TRP content, gives you a skewed view on how people interact. Go out with your friends. Find social hobbies. Talk to women casually, without expectations. Build connections and relationships. All of that is a lot better than dating apps, and will often give you opportunities to meet women organically. Which is the best case scenario, as long as you don't have the personality …

If you don't want pregnancy, don't have sex. If you do it, outside of marriage, it's promiscuity. So yes, the purpose of contraception is promiscuity. And it is the main culprit behind broken families and dwindling birth-rates of today.

Whether you agree, or not, doesn't matter. It's a fact birth control promotes promiscuity. It allows sex without conception, even if it's not 100% assurance. Promiscuity is the exact purpose of contraception.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/24 08:50 PM

Maybe that isn't you, fine. Provided you are being honest. I'm basing what I said here on my personal experience with the women I know, or knew, not on "what I want". At the same time... You want your female to look at you and think " he can provide, protect, and take the lead". ... yes. I do want my woman to trust me and rely on me. And I'll do all I can to prove she was right in putting her trust in me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/24 08:34 PM

"No" isn't a counter-argument. And while individuals think differently too, there are common characteristics only in men, and common characteristics only in women. You can often-times tell someone is a man/woman without even hearing or seeing them, just their writings. That men and women have different roles is a biological fact. We are fundamentally different, physically and psychologically. Women's desire to be with men who can protect them stems from biology. That's our very role.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/24 08:30 PM

it means "the guy I'm with isn't going to harm me." Yes, but it also means "guy that can protect me, take the lead, and provide" Neither gender is "wired" one way or another. For one, women hold the sexual monopoly meaning they decided who gets sex, where, and when. And this is a false foundation that ultimately dismantles your argument. Women will tell you how much they love their partners, and in most cases you find out that the partner always pays for dates, buys them gifts and provides for them, and this is actually what women love, not the man himself. So, what are you advocating for OP? For "young women" to date these 45+ year old men? Why? What is best for both men and women, is to date within their age-group. Which best matches fertility, energy, life-span and maturity levels.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/24 11:32 AM

It doesn't signal low value at all. If a man is looking for committed relationship, one can assume he's in a position to support a committed relationship. It also shows what you want straight up, without games. It shows confidence, ambition, decisiveness and maturity. All the attractive traits. Women aren't turned off by this, some of them just flee from commitment. But that's good. You don't want that kind of women anyways. So it's good to filter them out from the start.

Money and status are somewhat linked to it, but they are a different topic. In short, yes. It is about the power balance. As a man, if you keep this balance tipped in your favour, you'll retain her attraction and respect.

On one hand, an adult woman would probably be better support during a girl's teenage years, as she develops into a young woman. Secondly, with only a father, a girl may grow up a bit tomboy-ish... although girl friends could be of use there.

I mean, why not? Who knows what happened to him, he may be saying the truth. And talking about people not responding for a while... When it comes to me, I've got stuff to do. Sorry, but even if we matched, you are a stranger to me, and life takes priority. I will answer/reach out when I am free.

that could be the best solution to the intimacy problem so many people are facing Yes, and instead of improving yourself and looking for real relationships, you'll resort to using robots. It's basically like going to grind in an MMO, instead of working on your education/career/life. Also, no matter how much you try to imitate human form, a machine will always remain a machine. How can a machine give you intimacy? You can either pretend that this bizarre escapism method is a relationship, or find…

Testosterone vs estrogen, yes. It's not about "emotional maturity", it's about the fact that boys are affected by hormones a LOT more, from a younger age. Girls don't have to deal with that. Talking about physical maturity... Both girls and boys become reproductively-viable at around 13, technically, although girls don't develop enough to safely go through pregnancy until full maturity.

I think this kinda plays into my earlier point - boys become... interested in girls earlier. That, on top of their desire to be "cool" makes them CHOOSE decisions, that get them worse grades. In other words, it's not that boys are worse at studies. It's that they are distracted by other things, and don't put as much effort in.

Yeah, and it used to be (maybe still is) that girls outperform boys at school. But something happens around late teens/early 20s, cuz among the young people I've met... women, for the most part, seemed to have less of a drive and energy. Granted, maybe my experience doesn't apply universally.

Based on my own personal experience, IMO it's a myth that women "mature faster". Boys start... showing libido... at a much earlier age, and as for maturity in young adults... it's about comparable, though even then, young men are often times more driven, more responsible, thinking ahead in life, etc. Also, I do not think there's a need to justify "age gaps" in dating, as long as you are both adults. (There is NO justification otherwise) Granted, I would find it weird if you were old enough to be…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/24 11:22 AM

I agree that feminine men have it harder to create, and maintain, attraction and respect, but what you describe isn't a "feminine man". Being territorial, possessive, confrontational are all natural signs of a higher testosterone level in men, as stated here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0031938418300131 What is actually a feminine trait, is being passive and "accepting".
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/24 11:06 AM

Can you even explain why you think that way?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/24 10:58 AM

MGTOW is a tiny part of the population, that's basically only vocal online. To answer your question... Maybe because a married man acts more rationally, doesn't take such huge risks? Because he knows that, for the first time in his life, he's responsible not only for himself. There're others relying on him. Also, wives take care of their husbands. How many times have I seen women dragging their husbands to hospitals :D

1) Most things discussed here are opinions. What "stats" do you want for that? E.g.: "I think women should dress more modestly!" "Where are the SOURCES?!!1" 2) Confirmation bias. We can all pull sources supporting our views. What then? Do our sources cancel each other out and we are back to square one? 3) It doesn't benefit discussion. You aren't a "loser" for not having had a relationship till your 30s. There are lots of possible reasons why that may have been, not to mention that nobody has a right to tell you when to get into relatoonships. What does make you a loser is being so desperate about it, that you are completely willing to use and abuse other people for... what? To get laid? What then? "Love myself". All you did your entire life was "love yourself". Too much.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 11:35 AM

Ofc attractive people are... well... attractive. Big wow. Point is, that it's not some doom and gloom for shorter, or less attractive men, unlike what Black Pill would like you to think. We are talking about 35 - 45 year old men, as per OP's given scenario. It's way past time to stop acting like a teenager, look at relationships responsibly, and create a fruitful and meaningful relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 11:07 AM
19

At that age you should have the responsibility and maturity to properly commit, instead of playing such silly and AH-ish games. Your goal should be to marry and create a family. Or are you going to be a perpetual teenager? And even if you are younger - don't play around with people. If you are not attracted to her, don't get involved. Think about other people, not just yourself, for a change.

Most? No. Many, especially among teens? Probably. But it's more complicated than just it being about women. I have no doubt all you westerners will vehemently disagree, but... Way I see it, double standards naturally exist and always will. Why? Because men and women are fundamentally different. We have different roles. Yes, a man is supposed to keep his shit together, because he's the backbone of the family/relationship/whatever. He's supposed to be able to handle himselft, because it's up to him to take care of his woman and his children. This is what it means to be a man.

Western dating is like going to a bakery, ordering a pastry, eating 90% of it, then deciding you didn't like it, returning it and moving to the next. A healthy relationship is based on responsibility, commitment, duty. Not lust, not material greed, or whatever else westerners call "love". If you get into relationship, see it through to the end. Work through the hardships. The whole "casual hook-up/relationship" culture is ludicrous.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/23 11:08 AM

Not really. As I said, it depends on musculature, fat and genetics. The particular women I was talking about, I know for a fact they didn't have any surgeries. It's also a bit funny how this sub treats the age of 30 as if that's being old lol. 30s is still peak of your life.

In other words: Single men, younger/same/older. How does this differ from the choices of a younger woman? And if a man is single at 35, you assume he was always single? You mentioned "divorced" already. How about recently out of relationship? The only real argument against women settling down in later age is reduced fertility. But it ultimately is their choice. If you don't want to settle down with an older woman, don't. That's also your choice.

Disagree, especially in this hypothetical case of your post. Women are more vulnerable in general, but it's especially the case if she's significantly younger and less experienced. I am not personally against age gaps IF the man is actually a good man, who will be very patient, take good care of her, and not get mad when she acts immature. Not to mention, that you are going to be a 3rd wheel.

For starters, I don't like the majority of women romantically. So there is that. I am talking about attraction. If you are straight, clearly you are attracted to them. You control this attraction, but to say it's not there is to lie. I dealt with it, talked about it with my therapist, and talked about it with my friend herself, too. I interacted with the emotions head-on. As I said, you coped. You just convinced yourself there's no jealousy, when there actually was. And you even needed a therapi…

I have to disagree on this. I think for a man to be friends with a woman is too much hassle for too little pay-off. You can be friendly at work, school, etc. But not in every day life. You may say "people can like each other just platonically". I thought so too, at a time, but one has to admit the truth at some point. Men and women are wired to like each other romantically. Even if a woman isn't physically attractive, if you want her as a friend, it means there's still something attractive about…

Do you people talk to your grandmother's? Older women in general? Yes actually. My grandma (may she rest in peace) was born in early 20th century. And plenty of my aunts have been born around 50s. Women weren't "happy" in those relationships. Yes they were. There was actual respect and love in those relationships, unlike the selfishness and lust/greed of today. My grandparents spent their entire lives together, and even at the end they were very fond of each other. It was inspiring, watching the…

Not to entirely disagree, but who's fault is it? For almost a century now, women have been fed propaganda that they can and should compete with men, that the kind of relationship that kept women happy for centuries was "evil patriarchy", and that the path to happiness is being "strong and independent", even though modern women end up far more used and miserable than they were before feminism.

Oxygen is absolutely a need, as we cannot survive without it. Sex, when it's just done for pleasure of it, isn't vital to us. What I called animalistic wasn't sex per se, but the inability to control your urges. By giving in to our urges, we are throwing away these qualities and acting like animals. One could make the case, that denying ourselves what we desire prov…

Low birth rates are indeed bad for the society. However, are women (alone) to blame for that? It takes two to form a relationship. If there are problems with relationships on a wide scale, the fault lies with both sexes, not either one. Birh rates are low because modern society twisted the concept of relationships and sex. Everything is... "casual" now. And "casual" really means - no reaponsibility. Chasing quick, shallow pleasure. Children are treated like... side effect, that needs to be avoid…

Shifted goalposts? I was talking about housework the whole time. Which is what your posts also seemed to be talking about. And both of us are judging things based on our experience. If it's valid for you, it's valid for me too. And the mere fact there are so many posts complaining about men's lack of action around the house is telling. Even you referred to it as "astronomical".

And where's the data for your "astronomical levels of bitching"? Just like you, I don't have it. But I've seen lots of posts, and I've talked to young people irl. Which more or less confirms it. Young dudes avoid responsibility like vampires avoid the Cross.

At the same time, as a man, you don't have to take a woman out to expensive restaurants. A date doesn't have to be at a restaurant at all. But either way I wouldn't have a woman pay for me on our date. And talking about "not doing enough around the house"... I've seen many posts about adult men, who act like children. Some of them don't even work, but expect their gfs/wives to do everything around the house, and dote on them like they are babies. These "men" never grew beyond infancy.

If your only criteria is "don't be fat", it is still "low standards", though, especially if we consider the world beyond US. Excess weight is a direct result of one's own actions in the vast majority of cases. And it is a problem. And while I am against harrassing people, I am also against downplaying the problem by calling fatties "big" or "plus size". If one doesn't like being called a fattie, one should start fixing it, instead of blaming others.

Quite the contrary. "Nice guys" are liars, who only say what they think women want to hear. And they are despised. Being upfront is a show of confidence. And most people, men and women, are far worse liars than they think they are. It's easy to see when someone's manipulating you. Lastly, lying to get into a woman's panties is unbecoming of a man. You'd have to sell your pride completely. May as well lop off your balls then.

I don't think women commit DV because of rejection. It's most likely one of, or any combination of: 1) Higher emotionality 2) higher neuroticism 3) physical violence from women being generally more acceptable, sometimes even seen as funny or cute. 4) women not being checked due to #3.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 11:16 AM

Had a few friends and colleagues, who were overweight and generally not that good-looking, but were charming pretty girls just the same, when we hung out. Simply said, whoever said that men's attraction is visual and women's is... auditory, are onto something.

Feminism movement wasn't really started by women to begin with, but by people who saw benefit in getting the second half of the population into the work-force. Relationships were declining, with divorce, infidelity and promiscuity rates rising, ever since birth control got widely accepted (around beginning of 20th century), and the "Sexual Revolution" of the 60s only made things worse. Societal pressure may play a role, but mostly it's just horniness. The best thing we could do is undo the effects of the sexual revolution. I don't think this manifests in old men, particularly. I think youth is more prone to this. Results of sexual addiction. The usual stuff eventually won't stimulate you the same anymore, and you'll start increasingly depraved acts. This is why couples begin engaging in various "fetishes".

But if grogs are so powerful and full of testosterone, nothing's gonna stop them.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/23 11:22 AM

If, in your scenario, men are giving birth, and women are out of the equation in terms of relationships, then women serve no purpose for the species. The reason we now need both men and women is because we have different biological functions, that are equally as important. But if men can suddenly bear children, there's no point in having women around. You've written yourself into a corner, OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/23 11:19 AM

What would be done about grogs? A better question is - what would be done about women? As they basically no longer serve a purpose in your fantasy scenario. What do you propose should be done about men, OP? :)

/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 12:02 PM

Then that tells me your "friend" is more important to you than your man. That tells all about your views and expectations for a relationship. Friends come and go in life. Your partner is someone who you may build a family and live your life with. If you put your friendship above that, I know you aren't someone I wanna be with. And tbh I find it weird that you kept a guy around for 16 years in a "casual" relationship... does he have a real partner?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 11:54 AM

Of course you'll label anything I say on this matter insecure. Even if it's just common sense. It's disrespectful, because she's acting like she's still single, showing lack of consideration and commitment. But then again. You guys are afraid of calling your woman, your woman. Well, for one. Trust is earned, even in a relationship. For another, OP is not "assuming" anything. He just explained her his expectations, right at the beginning of the relationship, and she agreed. That's a show of commitment. And such shows of commitment is what builds trust in a relationship. When a woman actually respects and values you, she'll apply these boundaries herself. She'll naturally stop hanging out with, or create clear boundaries with her male friends, won't engage in flirts wit…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 11:26 AM

Because that's acting like she's still single. What I want is a show of commitment. When a girl actually values you, you don't even have to verbally put up these boundaries - she'll naturally create boundaries with her male friends, stop looking for validation from other guys, etc. If on the other hand, even after I gave her my expectations for the relationship, my boundaries, she fights me on them and does her own thing regardless, I see that as disrespect to me and a sign she's not committed.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/23 11:08 AM

If that's ok for you, fine. But as I said before, it has nothing to do with "insecurity". It's about respect and taking the relationship seriously. What's more interesting to me, is that all you people are getting so upset with this.

Your boundaries are rooted in insecurity. Or rather, self-respect. Something that's sorely lacking in today's weak men. If she disrespects you, you leave Right. Hanging out in night clubs, or with her male friends, is disrespecting me. Which is why, if my girl was to insist on doing it, I'd leave. Glad we could finally agree.

Oh this is just funny. Someone who's afraid to stand up for himself, afraid to establish boundaries, calls others cowards. Establishing boundaries in a relationship is the opposite of cowardice. /r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:42 PM

There's also nothing wrong with establishing boundaries. I have a right to choose who I am in relationship with. If we are in an exclusive relationship, yet a woman runs around night clubs with her male friends (just as she did when she was single), she's obviously not respecting me or the relationship, so I will walk away. Outside of major cities, you'd be hard pressed to find em, even in regions where it was legal. What kept society sane, relationships stable, were primarily different values and religion. Sex before marriage was a taboo for a LONG period of time. The kind of sex-obsessed society we have now is a novel concept. Sexu…

Nah dude. I'm a guy myself and I've seen multiple dudes, among my friends and coworkers, disgracing themselves this way... I cringe every time. "Nice guy" is a legit thing. And it's hard to look at. so many men try not to disagree in hopes they won't be rejected for the hundredth time that month. So many men have no fking backbone, that's why they don't disagree. You do not sell your dignity to impress some woman (not that it would impress her). No. Stick to your ideals, principles and beliefs. …

Hmm. Hard to put it to words, but you do notice when someone is sucking up to you: offering help when you didn't ask for it and don't need it, agreeing with everything you say, being overly cautious about offending you, etc.

There's a reason women dislike "nice guys". It's usually not hard to tell when someone is being genuinely nice, and when someone is... just pretending to be nice cuz he/she is expecting something. The latter is basically just guilt-trip manipulation.

You can often see from just a single decent interaction if a person is rude, arrogant and self-centered. Or kind, humble and well-mannered.

internet is full of Aye, internet is full of stories. Irl though, most pretty girls I met were nice, chatty, playful, didn't seem to have many insecurities. The most rude and inconsiderate people I met weren't particularly physically attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 11:06 AM

I was arguing against this: No necessarily. there is no debate. You don't get it. This girl could have just gotten done giving you the best blowjob of your life and looking at you with loving eyes and telling you genuinely she loves you. And within 20 minutes of stepping foot into let's say, one of those yaycht parties, be getting bent over right in front of you by some ugly A-level producer and loving it. Would some women act that way? Yeah probably. All of them? 100% no.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 11:17 AM

No necessarily. there is no debate. Yes there is, it's my personal experience. The girl in question did more than enough to prove. Far more than I deserved. And she wasn't the only one, either. You may call it anecdotal evidence, exception, whatever. But that experience is why I don't fall for the bs of either "pill". People need to touch grass, instead of theorizing online.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 11:00 AM

Not necessarily. I had women be actually attracted to me, and caring about me, when I didn't have that wealth. Even when I was at a low point. And granted, power is attractive. But money doesn't guarantee power, and power can exist without much money.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 10:45 AM

... and? Does that sort of degenerate, animalistic lifestyle look appealing to you? All that wealth just to reduce yourself to an animal, instead of doing something useful.

As a guy who was introverted and lonely for a long period of my life... I don't really want sympathy. Never did. It was kinda my own doing, for one. For another, I don't need charity. Wouldn't accept relationship out of pity even if I was completely hopeless and bound to die alone. But tbh, I don't think any man out there is completely hopeless. I think guys either 1) don't try at all, 2) have their standards way too high, or 3) are way too desperate.

I said most, because throughout our history, there probably were a couple cases of some crazy women attempting something like that. Even if the number is absolutely negligible, it wouldn't have been factually correct to say there never were such things happening. There is far more domestic Violence against men than people are aware Even if true, my original point doesn't change.

I’m kind of curious about male lust… it always seems to happen so suddenly for y’all, sometimes during “weird” moments too. I am sure you've heard it before, but young guys (early teens - 30s or 40s) are pretty much always in the mood, unless something bad prevents it, e.g. stress, depression, mental or physical issues, etc. Fact we control ourselves doesn't mean it's not there.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 07:44 AM

Obviously you don't hit her back with the same force. But restraining her shouldn't have some "mental blocks". Point is, a woman typically won't be able to physically outmatch a man. Which is why DV in this case is different.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 07:35 AM
2

"Can". Which points to my comment above. This'd be an assault with intention to kill and no one would argue against that. But it's safe to say most cases of DV aren't this.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 07:31 AM
1

The article you linked seems to have that as a hypothetical (or a meme), but if someone really tried to run you over, that'd be assault, and an attempt to kill as well. Doesn't matter who's behind the wheel. What's your point?

Don't even need such experiments bro, I would not want to be a woman. Nope.

I don't think that was a real thing. The first woman in the post was venting, saying "I want to...". But yeah, dudes experience DV too. Now, why is it looked at differently? Simple. Because we dudes are much stronger and less vulnerable. If that happens to us, in most cases we can simply remove ourselves from the situation, or restrain her. If a woman gets cornered by a man twice bigger than her, she has no escape. A woman's punch won't hurt me much (unless face/groin). My punch could kill her. …

Not possible. Every person is different. And I care about this specific woman, why'd I want another? Just for a prettier face? Nope.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 06:03 PM

... what? My point is - if you are in relationship, you take care of your partner. If they have problems, that's also your responsibility. You can't just shake it off like your partner was some stranger.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 05:50 PM
20

There's such a thing as responsibility, or duty. To answer your question, no. If I commit to a woman, even if there are much more beautiful ones out there, I'll remain committed. Why? Because if I did commit to her, that means she was someone, who's company I enjoy, and who's values align with my own. And if you date people based only on looks, well... no wonder you even have to ask the question "is love even real?".
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 05:45 PM

Why do you even get into relationships then, at all? If everything's the responsibility of an individual partner, and you don't want to help, provide support, etc. then why are you even there?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 05:41 PM

Where is that "callous indifference", OP? On sites like tumblr? I am no Brad Pitt, looks or money wise, but I struggle to remember any woman in my life, who'd have treated me with "callous indifference". If anything, I remember being a fk up, who still got support, sympathy and even admiration, that I sometimes didn't return, and probably didn't deserve. Granted, the dynamics of men and women are different, because of our biology and roles in a relationship. Men are typically much stronger, and …

Sure, that works in singular. But my example was plural, talking to a group of people with various relationship statuses. The only words that encompass that are (romantic) partner and SO. Also, consider the internet, where you are talking to strangers and no nothing of their status.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 11:14 AM
21

If you want to, blame English language. What other word to use, when you are talking to a group of men and women, and want to refer to their... partners, in general? SOs? Also, if a mere word can "devalue" your entire relationship, you've got other problems there.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 10:51 AM

I use "partner" only when addressing both men and women, of various relationship statuses and referring their respective... partners. Saying "bf/gf/fiance/fiancee/husband/wife" would be inconvenient.

On the contrary, I'd suggest you quit being so resentful, or scared, or whatever this is, and instead start making eye contact, smiling, and starting conversations. You'll notice a lot more women give a positive response than you seemingly think.

It just seems like lazy design, because it's safe to say most men don't particularly care about a woman's income or education level. I don't particularly agree with OP, either though. If you are looking for serious long-term relationship (which you should, "casual" is for dogs), the main attributes to look for in a woman would be: 1. Humility. Pride will ruin a relationship sooner or later. 2. Loyalty. 3. Selflessness. 4. Family-oriented mindset. That's the goal of relationship, is it not? 5. Wi…

i don't like nice people From the sounds of it, you don't like fake "nice" people, of which our society is quite full. Nice people most of the time are people who didn't have a hard life Disagree. Hard life takes away your ego and teaches you to appreciate small things in life. You'll find more kind people among those who faced real struggle in life.

We'd first have to define what thick is. If we are talking about fit women with curves (sign of fertility), pretty much every straight man is gonna find her attractive. However, I don't think most men are attracted to fat women. So much so, that those who are... I'd consider it a fetish.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 10:43 AM

Yes, before the industrial revolution, families tended to often live together. I mean, the whole extended families... which is why if anything, divorce/infidelity would've been even further discouraged. People mated for life throughout our history. Granted, promiscuity was also a thing, but it was ALWAYS looked down upon and mostly had severe consequences in almost every culture. Especially considering, that for most of our history, our societies were VERY religious.

Incorrect. Serial monogamy is, if anything, a modern concept that would have been impossible in the olden days due to lack of proper contraception. You people seem to forget the real function of sex. Child-raising isn't 4 - 6 years. And so, the natural thing for us humans is to mate for life.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 10:27 AM

There's a difference between a man who just has good relationship with his parents, and a "mama's boy". The former is preferable, the latter is a problem. Point is, that what people refer to as "mama's boy", is an adult man, who's still clinging to his mom like a child, and doesn't have autonomy. Someone who still depends on her to take care of him. That's a big problem for any relationships he may have. A woman essentially will not only have to be his nanny, but have mother-in-law interfere in …

Pretty much any man can get laid, if he actually tries. And doesn't have his standards somewhere in stratosphere. Getting laid doesn't make you deserving of respect. You don't become a Man just by sleeping with a woman. You become one when you ditch selfishness and take responsibility.

Excuses. Practice what you preach bro. If you don't like other ppl sleeping around, don't do it yourself. Start a change you want to see in society from yourself. she doesn't even respect herself and it indicates low intelligence I can say the same about us dudes, if we sleep around a lot. I just really dislike it when grown men are trying to shake off accountability for their own actions. "These women should not sleep around! How dare they!". Well... yet you still want to sleep around yourself.…

/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/23 10:18 AM

Because it shows you don't value yourself and are weak. Because it leads to unhealthy relationships (codependency, obsession) Because it's overwhelming your SO. Because you are a man, not a drooling dog. So be that and lead. Take charge. Show strength. Just right off the top of my head. You DO need to learn to value yourself before you really get into relationships. For your sake, and for your woman's sake.

Hmm. I don't really have much of a problem with women expecting a man to lift heavy things, hold doors, etc. We are men, we are stronger, we are supposed to look after them. At the same time, I expect gratitude and politeness in return. I do not tolerate disrespectful attitude, and won't help a woman at all if she's being that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/23 10:40 AM

Not entirely sure if I understand your post. How do you define a "nice guy" here? And are you saying we should be one, or we shouldn't? I mean, I do hold the doors for women, help lift up heavy things, even if I don't really know those women (as long as they are respectful to me). That's how I was raised. Does that make me a "nice guy"? Is that bad in your eyes?

Neither men or women will EVER become obsolete, for we need both to survive as a species. And while today's world may be more complicated than it once was, the truth of the matter is that men dominate pretty much every TECH sphere. Women usually go for more humanitarian (or social)works, men usually go for tech. And dude... instead of trying to display some "showmanship", just be yourself. Be honest and do your own thing. Older people live here, and now, too you know. And people in their 30s or 40s now aren't that old. They know online dating perfectly well. Online dating existed for a LONG time now. Do you know the meaning of fallacious reasoning? You haven't even heard my argument, bud. Online dating is objectively worse, because: 1. You don't see that person... in person. 2. Your meeting is not as organic and natural. 3. The interaction is more shallow and fake - you don't know that person, so you can only jud…

Older people have something the youth (especially today) sorely lacks - experience and wisdom. Even as someone in the "20s half", I can say - online dating =/= real dating. Online relationship =/= real relationship. Meeting someone in person is always preferable.

Well, in that case, the logical thing to do would be to marry this "alpha". Although, in my experience, women aren't as interested in chisseled abs and whatnot, as some may believe. A man, who's too much into his own looks, seems narcissistic. And that's a turn-off. As in, you should take care of yourself, but don't overdo it. Don't... fall in love with yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/23 10:59 AM

The optimal "time window" is actually more between 20 and 35-ish, although mostly women give birth fine until around 40. And how is AF/BB true? You need to define what an "alpha" is, first of all.

I guess it's someone admirable to little teenagers. Personally, as a man, I don't see anything admirable about someone, who's unable to commit and have a meaningful and fruitful relationship. Anyone can get laid. Retaining a relationship, on the other hand...
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/23 03:44 PM

What is actually "high value" about a ladysman? Inability to commit? Being irresponsible? Being driven by carnal urges, rather than having dominion over them? The purpose of sexual relationships is ultimately creating a family. Having children. That's arguably the most significant thing we can do in this life. As such, an ACTUALLY high value man is someone, who makes a good husband and father - provider, protector, responsible, dutiful, mentally and physically strong.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/23 03:26 PM
5

That's how a demoralized society twists the concept of relationship and sex. Everything's "casual" now - no responsibility, no commitment. Just pure self-centeredness and self-indulgence. You got it right, OP - a person who wants "casual" just wants to use you for momentary pleasure. The act means nothing to them. It's up to you to decide if you want to participate in that.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 09:54 AM
1

I said that as a man myself. It's not that I am trying to blame men for everything (though I do think a man should take responsibility), point is - both of the partners need to be in the mood for sex. If you can't create the proper mood for her, don't blame her for not wanting sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/23 05:36 PM
-2

I think it's not so much a "libido gap", as much just a man failing to create the mood for sex. To turn her on, in other words. Dudes out there asking for it as a favour, or as some "obligation", being needy, etc. That's how you kill the mood. What you call "libido gap" is just the guy utterly not knowing how to handle the relationship and killing her attraction for him.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/23 12:49 PM

discouraged to cry and express their emotions and as such developing into very distraught adults who can't show how they feel or seek comfort from anyone It's not that men are discouraged from "expressing emotions". It's that we express ourselves differently. Sometimes, maybe most times, we deal with shit on our own. It's not anyone teaching us, it's how we are. And yeah, talking about the dudes you described - they were boys, not men.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/23 09:44 AM

People around me have a pretty good time. And as I said, that's the goal of relationships. Inescapable. But you do you mate. Not trying to convince you or anything.

It isn't an excuse to run around after every skirt like a dog. Infidelity and divorce are still the resposibility of BOTH men and women, even if we were to say, that women lead in both statistically. By engaging every chick who expresses desire to shag, we men are enabling promiscuous behaviour in women. Proper responsible, committed relationship is the only way to go. Marriage and children are ultimately the goal of relationships. If not for that, why would we even bother?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/23 09:13 AM

Just as I said - not to hit girls. Even if the difference in strength isn't as pronounced before puberty (there's still a difference tho), it's a lesson a boy has to learn for later life.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/23 09:09 AM
8

Most men do not hurt their wives. And it's quite the contrary IMO: We men should stop acting like dogs, or like we have no self-respect, and commit to a single woman (marry). That should be the goal of dating. And if you want to stop being possessive, then stop being a man. Or rather, stop being a hunan being. Because whether you like it or not, everyone's possessive. Some just lie to themselves that "it's ok".
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/23 09:07 AM
3

He'd have to react differently, obviously. Women are generally smaller and weaker. As such, if she attacked you, you'd go for restraining, rather than hitting back. And sure, there are short men. But take in mind, that they are still stronger. A 13 year old boy is strong enough to overpower most adult women. That's how big the difference is.
