Well it is legitimately weird for a young man who can support himself to still live with his parents. But it sounds like you had a very supportive family and they really deserve to stay around you. I would ask them to move if they want to and help them all they need but let them know that you can't live with them.

From reading the comments the situation seems like it's different because they're from India. Tell them about the culture difference here and tell them they can live near you but not with you.

I was shocked and actually believed it was a thought out rational statement by her. I just googled hamstering and now it makes a lot more sense why she'd use such an irrational excuse to avoid the truth.
