I totally get those women who complain about “weaponized incompetence”. I feel like tons of men in my life use weaponized incompetence on me all the time, as a guy. Most of the time I see it coming and avoid it but sometimes it’s hard.

When will the idea that rent stabilization helps anyone except for people who plan to stay in their current apartment forever die? Every economist knows it’s ends up hurting everyone in the long run. Just get rid of zoning laws

Wtf does this mean? We aren’t other another species. There isn’t much to understand

I live on my own, and told my mom I was thinking about getting tested for ADHD and she told me if I went on adderall she’d stop paying for my masters program. My company pays for that. She’s thought for the last couple of months that she has been funding my classes. Wtf

No I just don’t like dumb ppl.

Girl smiled at me today, felt pretty good. She wasn’t my type tho and she was walking out of a low income apartment complex.

The company I work for has big issues with sexism and racism in subtle ways. I’m a white dude, and ngl I really like it. I enjoy how my manager inherently trusts me more than a lot of my coworkers and gives me more leeway.

Sometimes I listen to those more extreme female dating/cultural ppl on TikTok. I have had two take aways. One is that they view men as both highly intelligent, conniving, and intentional in all their actions while also being dumb as rocks. Secondly, is they all have boyfriends these “men ain’t shit” “make him pay queen” etc. typically have boyfriends who make less than they. They don’t practice what they preach.

International travel is kinda overrated if you live in the US. Most people just use it to show off.

I wish I could be as delusional about my future as some people I know. Got a friend who has been out of college for like 6 months and refuses to take any job if its not on Wall Street. We both went to a mid ass college. I want to shake him.

When I was in college, I did a 3 month internship at a company you’ve 100% heard. About 2 months into the internship, an intern got fired because it was found out that he would sneak into the CEOs office regularly to vape. He went to a good college. Idk what he was thinking but I think about him a lot.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/24 04:57 AM

I do 100% of my finances. You’re having a hard time with comprehending where the anger is coming from because this isn’t a money thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/24 12:35 AM

It’s not an obligation, it would just be a no effort thing to do that would benefit me which I would hope my mom would just want to do. I live on my own this has nothing to do with responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/24 12:17 AM

They have never paid my phone bill, they aren’t paying my phone bill right now. Keeping us all on one plan just gets me a discount. Removing me gains them nothing. Why make things individualized when no one is gaining?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/24 12:09 AM

I have a good job, the money isn’t what makes me angry. It’s just taking me off for no ones benefit, it’s like she is allergic to providing any assistance once I’m an adult, but this isn’t even assistance it’s more like handicapping me just cause.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/24 11:58 PM

During college, I paid my parents $40 for my phone a month. That was how much my line added so I pay it. Pretty good deal. A little annoying cause I know they don’t need that $40 at all but principle I guess. Now that I’m graduating my mom is having this bizarre obsession “with cutting ties”. She wants me to leave their phone plan, and get my own even though it will save them no money and only stands to hurt me cause I’ll have to pay significantly more. This is making me so unreasonably angry, i…

There’s a lot depressing stats where women outpace. Suicide just so happens to be one where men “win”.

How do people find hobbies that beat just scrolling on your phone? Like, I have tried tons of “hobbies”, and none of them ever beat just scrolling around on my phone. Are your hobbies something you enjoy a lot or is it like working out where it’s kinda enjoyable but it’s just long term better for you? Maybe my brain is just fried.

I think more time off would make me feel worse. Hopefully, once I start working I’ll regain a sense of purpose.

Idk what was in the water at my high school, but I know of around 12 people in my graduating class who have started med school. I can say there was maybe 1 who is trying to become a doctor to help people and not to gain status/money.

I’d never want to be in your friend group. I’d also never like to be friends with people where they are so poor I feel bad if they bought me a $5 drink. It’s feels nice to treat your friends to something/be treated to something, fosters a sense of trust. And in the end, it comes out in the wash.

I can’t stand living or being friends with people who are stingy. If we are friends or roommates, don’t ask me to venmo unless the amount is over $200. I’m not rich but I’d rather die than be in an a friendship where we are worried about who paid for dinner one night.

Me and my roommate cuddled a little. He’s gay, but I’m not. I think he liked too much.

One of my friends goes to a pretty “elite” college, graduated a GPA .5 points higher than mine and got ab engineering degree. I went to a college in bum fuck no where, got a finance degree. I just learned I will be making more than him post graduation and get to work remote. I don’t want to tell him.

I hate growing up in the age of mass cameras and cancelation. I don’t think I’m some terrible guy, but it’s terrible to think the lowest of low points in your life could have been recorded.

I gave my final undergrad presentation for my capstone class yesterday and midway through the prof fell asleep. When I finished he looked around, clapped, gave me a thumbs up and told me he didn’t have any questions. I’ve known that fucker for 3 years, watched hours of his boring ass lectures and he couldn’t make it through one 30 minute presentation. But I’m done with college, cheers

So if you ask a friend to get Panera with you or catch dinner and a movie you’re paying? Maybe we run in different circles cause that has never been true for me.

The whole “who ever asks the other person out pays” thing women say when asked about paying on dates is bs. I don’t mind paying as a guy and will insist on paying, but why won’t people just say they think the guy should pay? what other area of life is this true? If I ask my buddy to get lunch, I’m not paying for him. If I ask a coworker, I’m not paying for him either. Only situation where this is applicable is when the person asking is in a position of power over you, ie my boss asking me out to…
