I didn't either. I was raised in multiple very abusive and dysfunctional homes with addicts, but I was determined to stop that cycle with my own relationships. I saw how much pain everyone was in and how much pain was continuously caused by not learning how to be better, so I learned how to be better. I've read 30+ books on relationships, applied them to myself to be better, applied them to my relationships, dropped what didn't work genuinely for me, and more. It's not easy to do that 180, but i…

May I ask your age range? I feel like most people are selfish and dumb still in their teens to early 20's. A lot of people don't start really growing up until late 20's to mid 30's in my experience. It's mostly the reason why I'm personally against getting married before 30. People need time to grow up and mature.

I'm a woman and I love this so hard. Now THIS is growth. This is maturity. This is that realization that carrying around that hurt does nobody any good, and most certainly does not do your relationship any favours by continuing to mask. We are who we are. We're fallible. We're broken, but we can be mended. We're all flawed creatures because we're born with a blank slate and we all have to learn how to adult through trial and error. Until we can actually download a perfect encyclopedia of things …

The key is understanding that it's not with every woman. I personally looove vulnerability and honesty. I don't think it should be cruel/neggy or anything, but being open is the only way you're going up be able to communicate effectively. Good, high-quality relationships need communication to get beyond the rough patches and into a good routine of knowing what your partner wants because you know them so well. This in turn helps them feel loved and cared about. If a woman can't handle that, it's …

I'm so sorry all of that happened to you. My many years with a couple really jacked with me as well. I understand you and believe you. I hope you get whatever you need to fully heal. If you need some book resources, please let me know. I've had many help me through the healing process well. #4 really hit me hard. I understand they, too, know the feelings of being disposable, so it's a mystery why they would make others feel the same. "Misery loves company", I guess. I wish we would all just calm…

Having been around these guys for wwaayy too long and having actual professionals walk me through the recovery treatment of healing from their abusive bullshit, here are the things I've been told that may be going on in their minds: 1 - Dissonance of believing they're not abusive but 'being forced' to be like this to even get pussy 'because there are not other options available' (which is bullshit). To calm the dissonance, they have to make a decision on where they stand, so hamstering over how …

I think you're circling back around to the whole point of this sub. Red Pill and the like talk about all men as if they're done sort of monolith, but just like women, they're not. There are variables to this "game" and there always will be. Forever. It takes hundreds of years to remove bad qualities from human 'nature'. I don't mind men who indulge in hookups. That can help them gain confidence to inevitably get with women like myself who don't do hookups, but provide a better 'home' for them un…

why is the dating market so unbalanced for men? It would behoove you to spend several hours or even days looking at the messages we get from guys on dating apps. It's grotesque in many forms. I for one do mind absolutely filthy dirty talk, but I'm not going to do it right out of the gate. Believe it or not, many actually try to start the relationship that way from the first few messages on dating apps. Once that happens 20 out of 30 potentials, you get over apps pretty fast as a woman. There's a…

Some men. You seem to be forgetting that men aren't a monolith either. Not all men can "indulge" in hookups. Believe it or not, a lot of men have values that are much different than yours. When you say "men", you imply you speak for all, but you don't. This is exactly where your black and white is keeping you stuck on a truly awakened perspective.

Have you read any data on the psychology of cheating for abuse survivors? My therapist actually told me a lot of survivors are 'saved' after these experiences, myself included. I'm not trying to say it would be taken lightly, but there is a lot of wild psychology that happens when abuse survivers find new love.

Man, it's sad how we've lost our humanness so much that finding mates is too hard for us. This should be a natural process, but instead we're too fucked up from BS societal standards, birth control, deodorants, and a bunch of other crap messing with the process. This is so absurd.

I'm a woman and can only speak from my personal experiences. I doubt many would be honest on a questionnaire about it. Regardless, we have differences of opinion I guess. No biggie. I'm a relationship girl, so I don't really mettle with that life. Either way though, there are much better ways to go about getting a relationship than trying to quantify women into stupid boxes, manipulating them, and fucking with their mental health. Red Pill ain't the way man.

If a woman’s life is threatened in an abusive relationship she can try her best to get away from it. It’s not an excuse to be a shitty person. One partner being shitty is not an excuse for another partner to be shitty. The big bad husband with guns is not a justification for the wife to throw away her values. You absolutely do not understand abusive relationship dynamics. This is all the cliche shit that gets said that doesn't follow those dynamic rules. Sorry to say, it just doesn't work like t…

These numbers are almost meaningless without context. A lot of men absolutely cannot complain about this after spending eons slut-shaming, cheating, being players, pump and dumping, bullying, etc. Relationships are extremely risky for women now and they shouldn't be. First and foremost, ExRedPill ≠ Opposite of Red Pill. ExRedPill is like a melting pot of various beliefs that mostly all think Red Pill is toxic/abusive/too black and white, etc. Some are still very traditional and/or old fashioned and share their beliefs of why Red Pill ain't it, some are various tiers of feminists, some are burnt out PUAs, some are just trolls, some are on the fence, some are MGTOWs that aren't insane, etc. Pretty much everyone here says that attraction and sexuality isn't goi…

Decent attempts at gaslighting, but not so good in terms of everything Reddit kicked off its site, the host of pages on archive.org, all the supposed "Red Pill" "coaches", and everything else that was stolen from the original idea created many moons ago. Don't forget the books that were written about it too. "Red Pill" was a collection of dysfunctional beliefs on socialization with women, "strategy" for getting women, etc. It was real in the terms of the pain it caused and the people it tricked.…

Part of me feels like most of them have a very poor understanding of most of relationship functioning. It's very monkey see, monkey do type teaching. There is no core understanding of WHAT they're doing, even if it substantially harms the women, they just see that specific things "work" and therefore it's "good", which is a very dysfunctional way to think.

I'll share first! While I never actually believed it, I had several guy friends talk to me in confidence and show me that a lot of Red Pill and MGTOW "mentors" were teaching that "women secretly want to be raped". Obviously I want online abuse to stop simply because of how it can impact people, especially young people, and their mental health, but what I want doesn't matter. Red Pill isn't really underground anymore and hasn't been for a couple of years. It's just known within the alt-right leaning communities. Truly "good" and high quality men aren't in these communities for obvious reasons. If they do even try to speak out, they know they can end up prey to online abuse like Kiwi Farms. Online abuse thrives because there is no regulation.

I think a really fucked up about guys like Fresh and Fit is that by doing this, they're quite literally distracting the core parts of what the Manosphere was supposed to be (let's try to ignore the misogyny for a minute). The men that find Red Pill+ now aren't getting the core parts of what they need to re-learn. Oh right, I see what you mean now. Truth be told, I didn't know it until it was too late though. I was oblivious to a lot of it, which I know is a common issue with men too. (I'm recovering from a broken attachment and was a "pick me" if that helps you see my frame of reference). I'm a woman and I fell for this a lot and still sorta still do. After some soul searching, I found that this toxic 'idea' stems from not really knowing all the variables to the situation and trying to stich together a conclusion to the behaviours with limited info. I don't have social proof though. I just finally found it from within after treatment. I still get bullied a lot as I'm still quite nerdy and awkward, I just don't care about their criticisms anymore. There is a sort of internalizing that we can get ourselves to where we realize that these people who have these wild desires to tear everyone down are just shitty people and therefore their opinions are garbage like them.

I'm a woman in her 30's who struggled with all of this before without reprieve. It always felt like someone was tearing me down about something. If it wasn't my plump booty and lack of thigh gap, it was my nose shape or the fact that I had anxiety and depression. It was always something. It never ended. Red Pill is one part of the Manosphere. Other parts are MGTOW, Men's Rights, PUA, Dad's Rights, Seduction, etc. It's basically a collection of movements and discussions that are male-focused. There are women who are supportive of these movements as well (mostly as humanists or anti-current wave feminists), but they're primarily male-focused.

I don't think anyone here or anyone reasonable argues that it doesn't matter. Most people say that it's not THE determining factor. There may be subconscious things at play for people who don't work on their minds and personalities, but a lot of good women can look beyond a man's genetically-determined height, see that it wasn't his choice to be born that way, and see if he's attractive still without that being a MAIN selling point. You can't really do much honestly. There is stuff going on with their brains that's very likely beyond you. Read Steve Hassan's books and try to find something in there, but sadly they've got to want to get out by their own decisions. I think at the end of the day, just learning about each other's struggles is a good thing. It helps us stay aware and alert so that we (the ones who actually want to be better) can work on getting rid of those toxic behaviours that society drills into us as a 'good' thing. Not everybody is dedicated to that, but a lot are. Without Red Pill, I wouldn't have learned half the stuff I have about men and the men I love. So much of our society and behaviors come from the psychosexual. And whether or not that is biological or social I really don't think matters. I think some of us have to remember that when we are socializing we are going to be doing a lot of things that we don't think about in real time. Preach it!

I really wish there was some type of forces that schools would teach both young men and young women about the realities of not only sex but the psychology around it 100% agree. We can't keep relying on parents to teach these things. If they want a "Christian" (or "traditional") education, they can pay for that schooling. I want to give it some deeper thought than this for a long while, but I'm going to link the direction I think they're trying to go with their descriptions. I think they try to say something along the lines of the mental toll with having too many partners, rather than a permanent inability to commit. It's true that there can be a mental health toll, including things like depression and anxiety; both of which can impact a person's ability to be high-quality partners (though it's not usually perman…

The impression I've always gotten from them is a very dry, Ayn Rand style of "love". It's a brain chemical only that serves more as a nuance to their objectives instead. Their love is rule-based instead of sometimes just being whimsical, random, and fun sometimes. When I was with Red Pillers, it was very brittle, could be easily taken away and given freely to others if I messed up, etc.

I haven't looked too much into this phenomenon with cult-like leaders, but I think there is some sort of Stockholm-y thing that happens with the followers of these guys similar to how abuse victims struggle with coming to terms with loving their abuser. Getting further into biases and cognitive distortions can help you with Black Pill. I've helped a lot of friends get out. Brother, during the depression they dressed their kids in potato sacks. The companies saw so many kids in them that they started to put designs on them. Money had a greater impact on things back then. Where you could run a family on one income, now you're lucky if you can on two. There are a lot of people that would dress nicer if they could, but the state of the economy in a lot of areas makes it much harder. The other thing to factor in is the expectations of "beauty" have substantially increa…

So a woman's sole purpose is to be kept and desirable enough for men and spank bait or do you think their compatible job in history would have been other things? Maybe those women would be farmers, horse keepers, janitorial, bar keep, mechanics, construction, fighters, blacksmiths, etc. Maybe they're focused on other things besides impressing you. I'm sorta a tomboy, but I love making myself pretty and "feminine" for my man in private. 😏 These dynamics exist too. What a men supposed to wear? Do …

"Women" don't "lack" femininity. Femininity was forced for many centuries. Women in history have been other things than patriarchal "feminine": shield maidens, diplomats, advisors, war maidens, male-fronting spies and snipers, code breakers, fighters, etc. Women are women even without pretty dresses. Your concept of femininity is not based on what femininity actually is; it's an idealized fantasy for men.

This biggest and most notable part of this is that he does not advertise how much damage this does to the woman's brain. I had to go through a very intensive recovery and treatment from all this (years with multiple men who were in this BS, except I was allowed to be polyamorous). This did MASSIVE amounts of damage to my abilities to function in every day life, so much so to the point where my brain damage was literally causing my body to shut down (I'm dead fucking serious). He is a sick man te…

It truly is a godsend. When I realized "what I was", I felt less "broken". I was raised ultra-religious, so of course that was looked down on, but then I started to understand that mono people were only looking at it with their lens (non co-existing love) and they truly just believed that my love was exchanging for the other. I'm also a really big lover too, so it helped to sorta disburse my love across multiple people too. Each one didn't get less love, they just got different love. I try not t…

They specifically run an MLM/pyramid scheme AND a ponzi scheme occasionally with stock pump and dumps in those rooms. Some of my own family got caught up and I had to part ways because I don't want to be associated with any of that. Anything his followers do at his behest (known as "proxy recruitment") makes them liable for the crime. Don't ever forget that. You want her to be guilty by association or do you want to show her the reality of what he's really in?!

Yeah, I've realized the biggest difference with monogamy and polyamory is that my love can co-exist. I don't stop having feelings for the first one in exchange for the second. When I love someone, or both, I love them both for their own reasons. 🤍

TL;DR: These things happen. Humans catch feels. It's not always personal. Have that discussion with your partner so everyone is on the same page for IF it happens. Sometimes though the opposite sex can really have that brother/sister friendship. I've been in several of them. We talk about it, try to be adults about it, and move on. × × × I don't know if my side will be received well, but I was the girl who had the friend that I wanted to escalate with while I was in a relationship. My partner kn…

The nuance in-between is what A LOT of the Manosphere tends to be the massive upset. I truly believe it's a group of people that have issues with black and white thinking. To them, things either are or they are not. There is very little in-between. This is a known cognitive distortion because we can get quantitative proof of things existing outside of their flawed purview. From what I've read, very little people are upset at him being a webcam pimp. The true problems are him being a webcam pimp …

The post is poking fun at someone that has "LMS" but still can't score a good, high-quality woman, thus again proving Red Pill is bullshit. Red Pill tells men to fake having a personality and give women a false sense of security, which it's much, much more than that for actual good relationships. This sub's "standards" are that of normal relationships that billions of people have and succeed at. This sub is a very focused sub, which they're entitled to have. You don't have to stay here, but the …

This mindset is what kind of creates the hookup culture that we all hate. The wild thing about this is you don't HAVE to participate in it. Meanwhile there's a healthy fifth of the male population that's not doing well romantically because they're not doing well job-wise or economically. Who probably want to settle down. Sorry to say, but many of them still want models, normal girls without a drop of cellulite (which is very normal), wants her to risk her life by staying at home, etc. A lot of t…

I've met guys like that and most often they have the personality of moldy cheese. He was raised broke, but is now rich, and now wants good high-quality women to throw themselves at him because of that. The rub is when high-quality women want more than moldy cheese to date and don't care about money as much as these Red Pill "mentors" say. Another have your cake and eat it too scenario. It's not that hard to understand. lol

Same here. I was pulled in without my informed willingness around 29, mostly by heavy coercion. I quietly capitulated for too many years until I finally got to that "fuck it" point at like 33, left all those friends, and went and did my own thing. Most didn't actually want help, they just wanted a constant stream of validation for their issues they refused to actually do anything about. I was wanting to actually fix and change myself. Gotta move on. :/

First, I'm sorry for what you have been through and are currently going through. I think one of the biggest harms of Red Pill is teaching men about abusive women in a way that makes them all seem abusive. It's not a true or false situation, it's a spectrum thing. Every woman might get upset at something they do, but not every woman will exploit others so thoroughly as an abusive woman. A woman might raise her voice if she's upset or exhausted, but not every one will go and key your car, rip out …

These can be lots of things. Sometimes they're insecurities we hold within ourselves and project them out because we would do it and we also believe others would (which isn't always the case). Sometimes it's because we've been hurt in the past and because it hurt (and probably not ready to date), we don't want to let ourselves fall that deep again. Sounds like you're finally just growing up though (as lame and cliche as it sounds). These feelings are common for getting through our next 'stage' i…

The downvotes are likely because this is a tiny portion of "facts" for bad and unhealthy relationships. If you're the person who refuses to grow and change then yeah, that's how they can be. This isn't really normal though.

Yes, I understand those frustrations very well! I am very introspective and in tune and it is sad to see those who completely lack the ability. Their lives must be so painful to not know how to fix it.

The divorce rate they advertise has vital numbers intentionally withheld. A good chunk of them are 2nd and 3rd divorces, not first ones. Plus the age brackets are grouped together and shouldn't be. The 50% rate is very skewed.

It incessantly posts stories where women abuse men, but this is a consequence of selection bias, only highlighting the most extreme cases and neglecting the positive or neutral ones. But the users are misled into thinking that this is the norm for women’s behavior I think this is one of the main hooks. When your feed becomes an overwhelming roll of negativity from anyone specific (whether it be women, a certain race, etc.), then you're bound to start feeling strong biases towards that. It leaks …

Losing yourself to abusive relationships is really hard. I know it's easier said than done, but just try to let it roll off. They're just opinions and making you feel bad about yourself isn't going to help. What's done is done and all you can do now is practice more, focus, and try to pass it again.

One trick that helped my partners escape it was to help them remember that they're doing a disservice to themselves and others by continuing to follow it knowing it's bad. You're stuck in their intentional dissonance loop. They do it on purpose to keep you stuck. :/
