You should, if you want me to treat you like adults and not children.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/17 05:57 PM

Compliments are fine. "You're perfect, you go gurrrl, you're amazing" just because she posted a picture of herself on facebook is not. You cheer on children for doing basic tasks, not adults.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/17 05:52 PM

Because it's literally impossible for me to respect someone who needs to be told how beautiful and perfect and amazing she is in order to feel good about herself. That's not the mark of a mature individual, and it's definitely not the behavior of a "strong and independent" one. Although, judging by your flair, i'm assuming i'm talking to a wall here.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/17 05:50 PM

Yep. I'm a firm believer that both genders are equally shitty, but it just manifests itself differently. However, i don't get how so many women who claim to want empowerment, simultaneously behave the way that these women do.

Standards are fine. Double standards are not.

Are you sure you're talking about FEMRAdebates and not MensLib? Menslib would do something like that, but what you're saying is nothing like what i've experienced in FEMRA.

I disagree with the money part. Money is an incredibly important aspect, especially for women, when it comes to dating. However, in order for it to actively override her other standards, then it has to be significantly more, that i agree with. But just compare your Average Joe vs your Average Unemployed Joe on the dating market. Money is definitely a factor and an important one at that. IIRC, like 70% of women say that their partners wage is important.

The same thing as women do? I mean, apart from sex, what do women bring to a relationship that men don't?

I think those men confuse correlation with causation. They look at alphas and (obviously) want to be like them, so they try to copy their traits. However, what they don't get is that the reason alphas and "bad boys" are popular is not because they are douchebags, but because they are interesting, dangerous and confident and that their arrogant and douchey attitude is simply a consequence of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/17 08:38 AM

Perhaps, but in the end the result is same. RedPillers just have a much cruder way of saying it, probably because of their "Edgy" attitude.

I think most men are ok with willing ignorance on the subject. I won't ask about her n-number, and i expect her to not ask about mine, however i would lie if i said me finding out that she's had a lot of casual sex wouldn't at the very least make me rethink it.

1: People aren't saying that it's celebrated as much as they're saying that it's not shamed. At least not to the same degree. Whether or not this is true or not, eh, i don't know. I've had people try to shame me for my promiscuity in the past. Mostly jealous men. However, i think that the main mistake this argument does is to think that it's equally done by men. As you say, it's not men who shame women for being sluts, it's other women. When a guy says he's slept with a lot of women, he is celeb…

I'm hostile to some parts of RP, not all of them. One of the most important things i learned from this sub was to split up TRP into The Sub, The users and The theory. I'm not opposed most of the core theory behind it, but i think the users and the sub is awful and in no way represents what the core theory is about. I'm not sure if it ever did, but it certainly doesn't now. Thus, i consider myself purple.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/17 06:57 PM

TRP is mostly practical and logic based, concerned about what works. Feminism is emotion based, achieves things for itself by manipulating perception and image. No offense, dude, but you're pretty obviously biased in this question. I'm no fan of feminism, but come on. "My side is full of logic, and logic driven. The other side is just stupid" //every political and social ideology, in the history of mankind.

I found this sub very recently and quite enjoy it. I try to see both sides, and i particularily like how this sub has actually gotten me to reconsider some positions that i've held, through polite and reasonable discussions. But yeah...Thanks :)

If you're going to intentionally misinterpret what i say and ignore my clarifications, then i'm not going to waste my time. Good bye. Women's well-being takes priority over men. Women get pregnant. Women have children. Men do not. Women are far more valuable than men, dude. For every Alexander The Great there's millions more that aren't worth much lol. Now look at all the pretty and beautiful women out there in the western world and tell me again how do men have more value than me, or at least t…

wow, so hurting women if it benefits men is something young men should do? Some things in life cannot be won unless someone else loses. If you get a job, it means someone else didn't. If you win a match, it means someone lost. NOw, i agree that sexual harrassment is obviously not one of those things, but im' just saying. What he is saying is that TRP isn't advocating for sexual harrassment. However, TRP makes a point about being exclusively for men, and thus if you ignore morals, the reason a ma…

Personally, i kindof agree with you. I did raise an eyebrow when reading that however i see 2 reasons for that argument. 1: It also works on people who don't give a fuck about the well being of others. 2: It's a nice analogy to how whenever a false-rape-allegation, people always act as if the main victim are other rape victims, not the person who's actually being falsely accused. I'm not sure RedPillers genuinely believe that argument they're saying. It seems more like an edgy "Fuck you, this pl…

I don't know. I think most men date one or two crazy women and then learn to stay far, far away from them.

It's not particularly far fetched, because people who look like Depp or Chad wouldn't need to go to TRP to begin with. The fact of the matter is that TRP primarily caters to men who have been unsuccessful in dating, so it makes sense to assume that they are not particularily attractive. Then again, accusing people of being ugly neckbeards is pretty much the go-to insult against men on the internet. I wouldn't put too much importance on it.

You'll have a difficulty finding any "Fair and balance" discussion in any gendered-community, however at least most of the Manosphere subs won't ban you for expressing them. Perhaps it's my bias, but i see a lot more "To be fair"-objections in the male-dominated communities.

I'm usually pretty jaded to these, but assuming you're talking about physical abuse, i'd say that comparing a sexless relationship to an abusive relationship is in very poor taste. However, if you're meaning exclusively an emotionally abusive relationship, then perhaps one could say that refusing sex can be seen as a sort of emotional abuse, assuming it's intentional and not just caused by a lack of sex-drive.

Defining value based on things society, you and women say they want. I'm talking about sexual value, in which my metrics for success is very accurate. As is proven by my success. False, women date alpha males, you can be a billionaire, out going and fit and she will still choose the meth addict over you. Lolwut? What planet are you from? Because you are creating a false narrative to speak about something you don't understand, it's clear you don't know the basis of red pill theory. Funny, because imo my experience and success in dating automatically makes my opinion on the subject more valid than yours. There are tons of better hills to fight over. As long as there are more articles written about mansplaining and manspreading than there are about male suicide rates and workplace accidents, i won't respect feminism.

Please tell me more about my social group and experiences. I'm degrading these males because they deserve it. I know it's comfortable to just blame women for not wanting to date you, but i know my friends and social group very well and most of them had absolutely nothing to offer, didn't put in any effort, and couldn't hold any conversation. They got laid occasionally, but compared to me they were still nothing. And that was their own fault.

My dislike for feminists is because of IRL experiences, but no it's not as common as the internet makes it out to be. The outrage culture inflates everything, both on the RP side and on the BP side of things. I recently encountered a woman using "Mansplaining" when referring to her landlord telling her to clean up her hair after showering, after the drain clogged, but that's as close as i've gotten to the SJW-wave IRL. I generally don't hang out around feminists at all, and those who meet me hav…

Fair enough. I've had bad experiences of similar seriousness with women as well, but i just attribute it to being bad apples. Kindof like how some women get with abusive boyfriends. It makes sense to be wary afterwards and take precautions, but you can't just go around being afraid of a whole gender because of it. As for crying their way out of shit, i learned that very early and it's one of the main reasons i rejected femininsm. I was told that women was equally capable and strong and should be…

I think BPs failure to understand RP concepts is because RP do a fucking horrible job at presenting them. It's a bit like debates i've had recently, where women have told me that "Fragile masculinity" is about breaking down the barriers that lock men into "Toxic masculininty" and my only response to it is that it's the worst fucking presentation of the decade. It doesn't matter if you have a good message in the core, because if you suck balls at presenting it, then nobody will listen anyways. Ev…

Yep, i can't deny that women are really bad at giving men dating advice. But, imo, that's something most guys figure out on their own eventually. I became pretty well known as a player, so i never had anybody try to teach me that crap anyways. Women giving men dating advice, is basically the equivalent of a rich-born kid telling poor people how to survive. They are extremely privileged, and while it's frustrating that they are so oblivious to it, you can't really judge them for it. The only time…

True. However, one of the reasons i avoid TRP is also because it breeds paranoia. You never hear about anything good women do there. It's either a guy did something good, or a woman did something bad. The same goes for pretty much all demographic-oriented community. Those kinds of communities are incredibly poisonous for your psyche. They breed paranoia out of nowhere. That's the main reason i won't go to the sub even if i agree with some small parts of it.

I'm a guy but I don't want kids right now because i have a lot of shit i want to get done, and when you get a child it's impossible to continue your current lifestyle, one that i'm not finished with yet. I assume that the same applies for women. Sure, there are some women i'd say that to because they would make fucking horrible mothers, and i'm sure some women d the same, but the biggest factor is simply because i want to live my own life first.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/17 02:41 PM

I avoid golddiggers by exclusively dating independent women who have career ambitions and are well educated. I also expect her to pay for half of pretty much everything. Sure, you can never be 100% safe, but as long as she's making roughly the amount of what i am, then it's pretty good.

That's definitely far more extreme than i feel about it, but every man for himself on that one. I always treated women as equals, with all the privileges and most of the expectations i put on men. I don't think too much about AWALT, or treating women as children. I only treat people like children if they prove they are incapable of being adults, men or women alike. For me it was the opposite. I thought the sub was ridiculous. I still do. However, since i started browsing this sub i've gotten a bit more sympathy for the underlying core-philosophy behind TRP and realize that a lot of it are things i've always known. I just hate how it implements itself in reality. Same with all self-improvement subs. They attract the bitter and the losers, and this turns the community to shit.

I'm wondering because i've realized that my father used to teach me some of these things. He was very successful and popular when he was younger and told me about how some girls came to the university just to find a guy to marry. Warned me about gold-diggers and how i shouldn't idolize women, always wear a ocndom because some girls are crazy and warned me about some women getting fat after marriage when they've "locked down" a man. I think that Romance is definitely dead, if you define it as the old-fashioned, male-initated romance. I live in a very feministic country, and romance pretty much doesn't exist. If you want both equality and a traditional romance, then you're probably going to get disappointed.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/17 12:35 PM

I don't agree with that either, though. It exists for a reason. But i do hate how it's impossible to say "Younger women" without some people immediately assuming that you're talking about prepubescent girls. That's part of that "Shame" strategy i talked about.

Q4Men: do you care what your partner looks like in the morning when you wake up next to them (without makeup)? Of course i care. However, i am well aware that we all look like shit when we wake up, to some degree. My gf looks great with makeup on but is still pretty without it. If she looked like an ogre without makeup, but used makeup to hide it, i would probably have a problem with it.

that you believe red pillers only get upset when the hate is directed at them Pretty much. Redpillers frequently prove that they have absolutely no problem with being incredibly offensive towards others, which is why i don't take it particularly serious when they complain about hate directed at them. It's typical cognitive dissonance, and it's very, very common in internet communities.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/17 10:30 AM

And TBP can be seen as an effort to prevent people from falling into toxic TRP beliefs. Their sticky is a warning about users who have had their marriages ruined by TRP. FatPeopleHate claimed to help discourage people from being fat. You've essentially defined "Hate group" as something that exclusively affects people who you disagree with, whereas you give sides you agree with enough benefit of the doubt to avoid that label.

Substitute it for "SJWs" and i doubt you'd say that it was a hateful statement. At least you're consistent. I'm ok with offensive humor, even when it makes fun of me. However, some jokes are out of line and if you pride yourself on a moral highground and constantly whine about sexism against women, then don't write an article about how funny domestic violence against men is.

Because to men, and especially young ones, how you react to physical confrontations greatly affects your social standard. Telling a guy to just walk away is a bit like telling a girl to "just ignore the bullies" If you genuinely don't think there is a gender-difference in how physical alterations are handled, then you've lived a very privileged and shielded life.

I'm not talking about dead bedrooms, i'm talking about the "icky omega sperm" crap. I don't know, same reason women lie about being mistreated? It gives them sympathy and a place to vent? Because right now you're assuming that all guys are being 100% truthful and not in any way changes the story to make them seem better. Really, if you can't even condemn such obvious bullshit as the one i quoted, then i'd say that the critique of TRP is very. very well warranted.

Go to buzzfeed or EDF and then come back here and write an article about how shitty men are. And when questioned about it, or the bias, you just reply "Well, why would they lie?" Go on. I'll wait. But i doubt you could take even 2 minutes of being talked to in the same way that you talk about women.

Also by the same whiny women and their orbiters. Most rational men (and women) won't disagree with you. Cross is delusional and shows a complete lack of any personal experiences. Shit like this: Nope, it's once every other month starfish missionary only from now on, while she immediately leaps up after he ejaculates so she can squat over the toilet and expel the icky omega sperm that was just shot into her. Not really. Most men agree with you. Sure, a bunch if women might whine about it, but those are the kind of women who will whine about anything. When TRP gets criticised, it's because of shit like what LewisCross is saying in this thread.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/16 12:11 AM

I will, when you go to TwoX or Buzzfeed and read up on how shitty men can be. If you don't think there is a bias then you're beyond any saving or reasonable discourse and i'm just not going to bother with you anymore.

Yeah and if you read reports and comments in the femosphere, men are literally the spawn of satan who just won't stop raping and beating up women. You're about as much of a "reporter" as Jessica Valenti, dude. you can't go into one of the most biased internet centers in existence and expect to form a rational and realistic opinion out of it exclusively based on what people tell you.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/16 12:05 AM

TRP gets criticized a lot, for a lot of things, not just the "life isn't fair" attitude. Which i've never heard anyone object to. When people criticise TRP, they usually point out the shit that even mot RedPillers don't deny is a shitty part of TRP.

True, but the title itself carries status. An engineer has the negative stigma of being nerdy and socially awkward, but that title is also viewed with respect in a professional manner.

Depends entirely on the man. Some men are inspired by it, some see it as a excuse to give up. Motivation is very double-edged, and what motivates some may demoralize others.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/16 01:54 PM
1

Eh, that last part is mostly a very small, whiny and unhappy minority. What i meant was how women tell men that they shouldn't have to be manly, or conform, and mock men who are, yet they still fawn over rich, ambitious, tall, masculine football players etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/16 12:21 PM
1

True. Maybe i'm suffering from confirmation bias here and see what i want to see. But if you look at purely statistical relationship-data, then more and more people remain single longer, less people get married, less people are getting children etc. Still, you're right that the vast majority of people lead happy lives with reasonably happy relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/16 11:05 AM
2

True. And good looking/successful men get tons of sex. However, for the average woman (And man), the dating market is much worse. Especially since many of younger women have overinflated egos from growing up being told how great they are and how amazing their lives will be etc.

I've derived some pleasure in the past from rejecting, or leading on, women who were trying to hit on me. It felt a bit like "Fuck yeah, role reversal. How do you like it?" Especially since i live in a very feminist country. This attitude is mostly influenced by simply how entitled some women are when it comes to expecting men to do most of the work, and how offended they get when they get rejected. A huge pet-peeve of me is reading women complain about how men don't approach them, or even worse…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/16 10:44 AM

That's a lot of what has happened in later years, though. Millennials have sex less, get married less etc. Men simply don't care as much about it. The response: "Why aren't men approaching me? Men today are too scared of strong women" etc.

As others have said, there i one downside: The biological clock. Women have a time limit that men just don't have. Also, competition is real. And the more picky they are, the longer it takes for them to find a partner. And good partners go fast. Those who hold out for Mr. Perfect, or vastly overestimate their value might find that all the "Mr. Almost-Perfect" are already taken by the time she realizes that Mr. Perfect isn't coming. Other than that, i agree. They are picky and choosy because they…

I'm laughing at you for being so defensive, or "fragile" the second i used the same rhethoric agaisnt feminism and blackness as you used against masculinity. No, i think it came out of the same cesspit that spawned Mansplaining, Manspreading, Man-flu etc. Essentially, maybe it originally had some semblance of a rational thought behind it but nowadays it's really just used to shame and shit on men who don't conform to the way that these feminists want them to.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 10:06 PM
2

I'm giving examples. However, i do find it interesting that when "your side" is attacked, you immediately go on the defensive even when i'm being hypothetical. So, for the sake of argument, allow me: Damn, are your beliefs are so fragile that you have to think everything is just simply an attack? You just proved my point. Like, 4 times over. Thank you.

Except that, if you would change some pronouns, i doubt you'd say the same. Doesn't matter what the underlying idea is. It's a shitty way to refer to it. Tell me, when someone refers to women getting preferential treatment in the justice system as "Pussy Pass" how seriously do you take their arguments? Sure, technically they are correct. But will you listen?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 06:50 PM
1

A good start for that discussion would be to call it "The restrictions of masculininty" then, not "The frailty" of it. Also, it would also help if when guys complained about it, the response wasn't "Lololol, look at these fragile fucking men" Except, that would require that it wasn't just all about demonizing men. Which, in my experience, it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 06:04 PM

Because when it's directed at men, the response is: "Lol, stupid men for buying it" while gendered products directed at woman are countered with "Lol, stupid companies for making them"
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 06:01 PM

Maybe it can have something to do with the fact that women attack their own gender role, whereas now they are attacking mens gender roles, something that they have absolutely no understanding of whatsoever. You know how big a fan feminists are of telling people not to "Invalidate" them? Despite this, they certainly like to tell men how they should react and feel with regards to their own masculinity. And finally, as i said earlier, you can't attack masculinity on one hand while rewarding masculi…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 05:26 PM

Well, that is what most men, me included, do. I cook, clean, sew, eat healthy etc. In fact i do a lot of feminine things that even my gf doesn't know how to do. But i still value my masculinity. It's a part of me, just like how many women value their femininity despite being independent. Sometimes if feels good to be a man. And i'm not going to put up with a bunch of women telling me how to feel, especially when they would never stand for the same treatment applied in reverse.

men whose masculinity is disturbed by women earning more than them is fragile masculinity. http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/life/640467/Rich-decline-date-men-earn-less-good-looking-dating 60% of women rejected men exclusively because he earned less than them. 96% of men said they wouldn't have a problem with their wife earning more than them Tell me again which it was that was fragile?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 05:18 PM
2

I mean that if "Fragile Masculininty" is actually about letting men be free from traditional gender roles, then they couldn't possibly have chosen a worse way to present it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 05:07 PM
1

Also, if that concept is the "true" meaning why is that bad policy? You lost me there. Can you clarify?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 04:58 PM
6

I've found that Toxic masculinity carries the same implied meaning and bad presentation. The people who use it do so in a way to demonize men for being men. Such as for example schools teaching men about their toxic masculininty. Imagine being told that your gender is toxic when you're just a kid? How about instead of shitting on masculinity, we open up new doors instead? How about, before we go breaking down masculinity and demonizing men for it, we give some options first?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 04:53 PM
5

If that truly is the meaning behind it, i believe that they may have done the single worst policy-promotion of the century. However, the fact that every time they bring it up and men complain, the reponse is "Lol look at all these fragile men in the comments" instead of "Fragile masculininty means this and that etc." i'd say it's safe to say it's a concept pushed by bigots and sexists.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 04:49 PM
9

I mean, there has definitely been cases where women have reinforced masculininty by rewarding masculine men, or for example the White Feather movement, but this guy does sound a bit tin-foily. Both male and female gender roles have been enforced by men and women alike.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 04:48 PM

I've noticed that when the internet mocks these things it takes on completely different attitudes. "Shampoo and detergent for men? Lol, fucking fragile masculinity for needing that" "Pink hardware tools for women? Lol, stupid patriarchy thinking women need that"
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 04:44 PM

It's possible to break down norms without ridiculing, mocking and attacking those who adhere to them. A good start would be to actually respect men who break from them.

It does. So what gives women the right to shit on men for it? Women talk a lot about men invalidating them and their experiences, but how is this nothing but the extreme version of invalidating men? Traditional femininity hurt a lot of women as well, but we didn't break those barriers by sitting on twitter and talking about how pathetic women were for conforming to them. You can't just piss on the gender-identity of billions of men without first offering them a legitimate alternative. There are …
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 04:24 PM

Except that for a lot of men, that is an attack on them. Kindof like how an attack of feminism is an attack on some women. And i doubt that a social movement called "Lol, femininity so fragile they need to make new Star Wars movies with female leads just to feel included" would be well recieved
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/16 03:59 PM

My experiences with these articles about fragile masculinity has been that they are just there to shit on men. If they actually wanted to help "liberate" men, they wouldn't do so by telling men how pathetic they are for conforming to societies standards. I think women just look at things completely differently than men when it comes to judging fat people. It seems like women judge fat people more for "What they're doing with what they have" while men look more at the overall picture. I've seen this a lot in other subs as well. When a fat woman is being ripped on, very often you'll see women come and talk about how cute they think she is. Just something i've noticed.

First of all, there is a significant difference between porn and reality. And the Body-Positive movement consists to 90% of women telling other women how beautiful they are. If you go into male-oriented spaces and ask about fat women, body positivity or similar things, you will still get a very unison answer: Fat is unattractive. There are so many reasons why people might have a completely wrong estimation of their own SMV/RMV that I find that people who have an accurate perception of themselves in this regard are the exception. Yep. The thing is that when this topic is brought up, we always talk about it as if everybody else are wrong. But how can we know if we're better or just as bad as they are? Because everybody seems to think that they are better.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/16 05:45 PM

Well, in this special scenario it's about how good we are at ignoring faults in ourselves and i'm starting to think about what faults i've missed in myself. Like when i make the profile, and think "Hmm, yeah, i'd say that i'm Very Ambitious" and then stumble upon 15 users who said the exact same thing, so i'm starting to wonder just how good of a grip i actually have on myself if these people can be so fucking wrong about it.

Yep. I generally don't talk about it too often exactly because people react this way. But what i do know is that ever since i started doing this, i went from skinny-fat to competitive athlete, and my grades went from failing more than 50% of my exams, to studying at 150-200% and passing everything with good ones. It's strange, and immoral, but it works really well.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/16 05:15 PM
2

Sure, i do. I know what i want, but i use the failures of others to help me stay on track for it. I use a combination of both what i want, and what i don't want, to help push me when the other fails. And it works. I'm in the best shape of my life, and my grades has skyrocketed. More accurately, i wouldn't want to judge myself as someone that i judge these people to be. I don't particularly care what people think of me, but i would never forgive myself if i let myself become one of those people.

There are tons of self-improvement subs out there, some of which have an equally "harsh" attitude towards self-improvement. I followed another sub awhile back which tried, but never really got the traction it wanted, who followed a nihilistic and stoic approach to self-improvement with similarities to TRP, but the creator was determined to keep it out of the manosphere. Simulatenously, he hated the forced-positivty of some self-improvement subs which i agree sometimes block constructive discussi…

It depends entirely on what the woman wants. RedPillers think it's a womans looks, becuase that's what they value. However the women themselves, while most want to look good, sometimes don't want a man who desires them exclusively for their looks. Dating is about how you see yourself as well, and what kind of partner you want. Not just what the other gender find attractive.

There definitely are radfems who try to shame men like that, but they're not really as common as the internet would make them out to be.

First thing first, a woman's body/appearance is her most valued asset. No other measure comes close and that can not be argued or hamstered With regards to dating, i generally agree (Not 100% though), But this is not a good way to start any discussion. "This is what i believe and nobody can argue against it or change my mind" It's women that think that they are more attractive that the really are lusting after men out of their league. I don't think attractiveness has changed that much. Only delu…

It's what we grow up hearing. "Girls want a man that's nice!" and to niceguys people say "Oh, you're just too nice!" Most guys manage to figure out the difference between being nice and being a whiny doormat eventually, but quite a few don't. It's like how women grow up being told to be assertive and independent, and then when they can't find a boyfriend they are told that they are just "Too intimidating." In reality, they are just obnoxious and refuse to compromise.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/16 06:24 AM

AFAIK, isn't "AWALT" just RedPillers way of saying "#NotAllMen" in that it stops the "That's just a generalization, i'm not like that" statements in every single discussion otherwise.

I think it's also caused by men being the prime initators and "chasers" in dating. Men are told that "You just gotta be nice" so they become nice and take it too far. Women on the other hand are the choosers, and they see nice guys and realize that they're boring as shit. They're not going to "Give him a chance" just because he's nice. It's like asking someone to pick the really bland, plain bread instead of the delicious looking sandwich because "Who knows, that bread might be really tasty?" Un…

It's a statistical impossibility for all women would date up. More women can't get into relationships than men because there is 1 man and 1 woman in every relationship. Discounting outliers like polygamy and homosexual relationships, there will always be an equal amount of men and women in relationships. Sure, women can end up alone if their standards are too high. But in the end they are still alone just like the men. And chances are that if their standards are too high, then they weren't that …

A woman's greatest asset is education and career, or a profitable business. Because if she has these, she's set for life. She has options and freedom For her personal success, yes. and is also a prime marriage candidate. This is where your argument falls together. Men do not value career and success in their partners nearly enough as women do. You make the same assumption that leads to so many single 30+ year old career women: That men value the same thing in women as they value in their men. Yo…

I disagree. The regular woman can easily get laid with a guy of her choosing, but relationships are a completely different thing. And it's a statistical impossibility that regular girls would all date above-average guys. Also, if dating was an impossibility i would agree with you. But it's not. Dating is harder for men because they have to pull the most of the weight, but in the end the majority tend to reach their "goals" anyways.

I think the biggest complaint is that the female leads are always fucking ridiculously "overpowered". They are just these super-humans who are better than everyone at everything. People loved Mad Max because Furiosa was on equal terms with the men. Those desert ladies also dies just as easily as the war-boys. Meanwhile, in Star Wars, Rey learns to master the force without any sort of training whatsoever. In all the previous movies, the male lead has gone through rigorous training to get where he…

I glossed it over because i don't really consider it to be a significant problem compared to the other issues that men can face. It's like when fat-activists complain about not finding cute clothes in size 35. It's really not that big of an issue, and it makes the movement just seem whiny and entitled. Maybe not a great analogy, but you get my point. Compared ot things such as suicides, accidents, prisons, rape etc. having to pull the heavy load on dating is a low-priority problem imo.

The problem with that argument is that pretty much every single feminist i've met have said that, and they all define their personal opinions as the only correct ones and all the other ones as false. There was another thread on here which had stats that said that 75% of people expect men to pay for the first date and that 40-45% of women hoped that the man would pay and would be annoyed if he asked to share and would refuse a second date if he did. I don't feel that women think that they need a man to take care of them, it's just that they are attracted to men who are in a position to do so. According to this survey: http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/life/640467/Rich-decline-date-men-earn-…

I've speculated in the past that we will see a female Incel/Foreveralone community emerge. There have already been some hints at it, with women writing about how hard it is to find good men nowadays etc. Men becoming more and more unwilling to marry doesn't make the thing better either. Because, really, the only way that this will end up in a good way is if women lower their standards, and i'm not sure that's going to happen to very many. Right now, women have a huge advantage in the dating game…

English isn't my native language. Isn't that pretty much what i said? Because that's essentially what i meant, but i didn't want to write a novel for my title.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/16 07:53 AM
1

That would imply that people have the self-realization to acknowledge this, and not just try to frame their bitter jealousy as "Meh, i bet that guy's a douche anyways" Which most do, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/16 05:46 AM
3

Because society has a much more favorable look towards female sexuality than male sexuality. Lesbians are far more socially accepted than gays.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/16 05:42 AM
3

Given how opposed repillers are to marriage in general, that's a bit of a weird demand though, don't you think? Men shouldn't get married, but women has to get married before getting a child?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/16 05:41 AM
2

True, but that doesn't make it less of a double standard. Also, the main point here is, imo, not that women find a non-straight experience in the past a dealbreaker, but how many that consider it while simultaneously not being straight themselves. 63% of women identify as an alternative gender, while 63% also demand that their partner is 100% heterosexual.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/16 05:38 AM
2

I'd say that this is definitely a case where social-constructs affect it, not some sort of inherent natural attraction. That a lot of women identify as other than straight/LGBT, but still demand that their partner is strictly heterosexual is definitely influenced by societal constructs.

Eh, i disagree. If you removed VS models overnight, few things would change. The same if you removes sugar-babies. The same cannot be said for other, career driven people. But this isn't getting anywhere, so lets agree to disagree
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/16 05:34 AM
3

That's a bit of a silly comparison, i'd say. It's like saying that Victoria Secret models are just as important as Bill Gates. They are not. While they both fill roles, one is an extremely productive member of society while the other one is kindof just existing for our viewing pleasure (And marketing etc,) Sugar babies do not actually contribute anything. They only try to look good and that's it. Their only success is based on how much a successful person is willing to give them. Carreer people …

One of my first encounters was with a radfem, who was my teacher. We were 6 boys in the class, and 15 girls. That is the point in life i learned to hate feminists. Most feminists are no super-vocal about it, but their double standards and sexism is still incredibly obvious to us guys who have to put up with it. I haven't met many sexist men in my life either, but that doesn't make me believe that they don't exist and that feminists are just screaming at clouds. I'm just not their target, so i do…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/16 04:18 AM
2

True, but most don't. My personal ideology is one of self-actualization and ambitions, and just being paid to hang around and have sex with rich guys is not how i see a successful person. Even if it is consentual, i see it as mooching off others. It's also not sustainable. Rich guys who have sugar babes want them to be young and attractive, and once they pass 30 i doubt there is much market for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/16 04:15 AM
3

None, really- The only difference is that money is something everyone can, and should earn on their own by being a productive member of society. Earning money through sex often indicates some sort of economical failure at your part.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/16 04:06 AM

In my experience, i find that a lot of feminists still expect men to pay. My wife is not a feminists, but she caught on pretty much immediately when i expected her to pay for half. Those feminists use the excuse that "Whoever asks for the date should pay for it" but since women overwhelmingly still expects the man to ask them out, it's really just a way for them to do the mental gymnastics that allows them to keep their privilege while claiming equality.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/16 08:59 PM

Yep, that's a pretty good analogy. Many people like to think as dating as some sort of mutual agreement, but in the end it's more of a market.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/16 08:56 PM
3

I generally try not to call women "Whores" because it's an outdated slur. Generally, women expecting men to pay for dates are just adhering to a societal expectation put on men. It's like saying that men who want women who earn less than them are closed slave-drivers. If a woman goes on a date, specifically to get a free meal with no interest in the guy, then yes i would say she fills the definition of a whore, but i still wouldn't call her one myself. I'd just call her a douchebag/cunt. If she …

Are you telling me that RedPillers by definition whine about their situation instead of improving? And what "Slings and arrows of fortune" would you say makes a man successful in dating? Dating is not like money, because you don't inherit skills. The only thing you can inherent is good looks, but even then you need to maintain it. I don't talk to any feminists IRL Can't say i'm surprised.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/16 09:45 PM

I can't possibly be interested in the RP ideas? Obviously you can, where did i state otherwise? But if I said that I was not Red Pill, that would indicate that I am actually actively Red Pill? Wut? So now there are different types of Redpillers? My original statement divided it up into 3 groups, and it was perfectly clear to the vast majority. If you don't get what i said, it's because you're intentionally avoiding the point.

Fairly attractive, i think. I look much better nowadays though, than when i was single. I was still far more successful than my extremely.attractive rommate. Yep, TRP lures vulnerable men in with promises of not only scapegoats and success. While there are some truths to what they say, it's quite clear from reality that most of it doesn't manifest into anything good.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/16 10:10 AM

Of course, that makes no sense if you think about it for even half a second, but whatever. It makes perfect sense to most other people here, it would seem. And those are the only kinds of people who are RP? Nope, just like there are several types of feminists

Eh, i'd say anyone who openly identifies as a Redpiller falls in the second point. The third ones just take listen and live according to their interpretation, mixed with their real-life experiences. Kindof like how it's a big difference between a Feminist with purple hair, colored armpit hair and a "Male Tears'" mug, and your average, everyday woman who just considers herself a feminist passively. When men feel the need to act in a self-destructive or contraproductive manner just because they are men, and feel the need to prove their manliness.
