Thanks, trying to avoid any more court costs but defiantly something I may have to in future if the piss takes get worse!

Like others have said she’ll never take accountability and I honestly thinks she thinks splitting a family up is no big deal! Easy when your not dealing with the financial consequences years later and can stay at home all day with the new BF 🤦🏻

Thanks, it’s always the petty things, to be fair she’s a great mum when she’s with them and I see the kids 50% of the time. I think it more a case of would she do this for me and the answer would be a big fat no, and even more of a no if I was the one to split the family up!!

Yep, you’re dead right. That’s always at the back of my mind as we agreed on as much as we could ourselves so if I started being a dick she could ruin me even more financially.

I generally do try not to answer calls but then the kids will call 10 mins later or she’ll get them to call in the first place. 🤦🏻

Good perspective to take. Your quite right tho, no one thinks the same or would do the same as you and I find that difficult to get my head round sometimes lol

Definitely, that’s what I tell myself and it brings me down to earth. When I think of the times she’s blown up at me or I’ve heard things from the kids that’s she’s said/done negative towards me.. then i know I’m doing the right thing

Agreed. All the games they play, does your head in. I don’t think she even realises she’s doing it half the time but it’s kills me inside

Totally agree, get the impression she wants a reaction which I don’t give her 99% of the time. But deep down I’m seething sometimes

Really hard isn’t it. Think it takes a lot of time to train your brain in to it, like when you were together you like me would always be there for them and you still have to now but it’s a fine line between that and being walked on!

Thanks, looking back it was always take take take from her and feels like she still thinks she can do that now sometimes, so hard like your walking a tight rope and trying to get the right balance. Interesting about the whole mental thing, I know she suffers from depression which started the whole separation but that’s another story. I don’t give her any emotion when she’s asks but it does really irk me deep down. But def need to get stronger at boundaries.

Thanks, yeah that’s what I always tell myself… don’t react but it’s so hard not to feel like your getting walked all over!

Try to take comfort in a few things here… A) it’s not your fault, it was her all along, yes you would have done things to weaken the relationship but for everything you did wrong, you did 100 things right! And whoever you were, she would have done the same to him too, probably sooner B) She’ll do the same to the next guy eventually… quite literally ‘it’s not you it’s me’ C) your not alone, this story seems to repeat itself time and time again, the same script D) certain people are never happy, n…

Got it done about 6 months before we split, it was never something that I considered as she was on the pill but she said she wanted to come off it as it was messing up her body and we had a ‘complete family now’ so I went… low and behold 6 months later she went off the rails and left and then a couple of years later had another baby with some loser 😆. I don’t regret it as such as 3 kids are enough for me but I do often wonder whether it narrows down the dating pool. Sucks but can’t have it all. …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
