This is fantastic commentary. I believe I may be ND - that combined with my unique looks throws other women off. I believe they expect me to act a certain way because of my appearance. When I don’t, they distance themselves. It’s best when my connection to other women stay surface level as acquaintances.

It’s taken directly from an explanation to one of the four questions Laura asks us to ask ourselves if we feel tempted to say something controlling.

Not normal! My fiancé would be concerned about the coworker getting home safely and likely offer to drive them home too. If there was traffic, he would keep me updated and if I asked him, he’d keep me on speakerphone for real time info.

Thank you. In previous relationships I have acted differently but upon reflection, my lashing out reflected a mistrust in the relationship/my exes (whether valid or not) and was a sign I needed to get out. I have faith you’ll react well!! He’s with you for a reason :)

Yes it does! It’s not worth the potential argument that’s rooted in an insecurity we need to work on. This is assuming we have vetted properly for a partner who is caring and thoughtful.

You’re right, they don’t wife up the first person they get amazing sex from. Love this logic!

Can I pick your brain about masturbation and porn use? I have a healthy relationship, partner is amazing. Our sex life is great (2-3 times a week). I just want some reassurance that masturbation and sex with a partner aren’t the same thing and that I shouldn’t be offended if he does it now and then.

Can Laura Doyle’s SFP be categorized as RPW dark femininity? There are times my fiancé is not feeling great about himself and I’ll say things like “I know you’ll figure it out, you always do” even if I don’t necessarily believe it. Or I’ll encourage behaviour I like by enthusiastically complimenting the positive while ignoring the negative.

Absolutely, dating multiple men is a good strategy for us romantics. As you said - work smarter, not harder. From his conservative point of view, it clearly wasn’t a deal breaker and it allowed me to slow down and vet properly.

Can I ask about your point re dating multiple guys in the beginning? Would this be disrespectful to the type of men we are seeking? My fiancé always mentions my feelings didn’t seem as strong as his initially because I was going on dates with another guy in the first two weeks.

How often should the woman initiate physical intimacy?

Anyone have advice for keeping the mystery alive during cohabitation?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
