Probably because as men we mediate and try to keep the peace that we value. I had to constantly put out her emotional fires, it was exhausting. Felt like babysitting a 2 year old eventually I hit my breaking point and it was nothing but arguments after that.

Great advice here I could use it too. I'm a year out of close to 14 years with her sometimes feel anger about her infidelity but mostly sadness and jealousy. I still care for her but thank baby Jesus I no longer love her. She turned into a nightmarish cesspool of cruelty and hatred after the divorce. Did everything she could to ruin me but mostly failed because I planned ahead. As if breaking my heart wasn't enough she just had to try to go for the jugular.

I get it brother. Felt the same. I've got some firearms and at the beginning had to fight so hard not to do it. Past that stage but still heartbroken.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
