I don’t choose to surround myself with them, as they happen to be in my social circles. They are not my friends, and I don’t choose my uni classmates. Men tend to have personalities, women? Not so much, at least not some original ones, that are worth pursuing. It’s always the passive women with inflated egos, no job, real skills that have the highest expectations for men, yet they offer nothing in return. I don’t choose to surround myself with them, they happen to be in groups I am in as well. It is true about men being in similar boat, except the men are also expected to do everything when courting a woman only for a sliver of a chance to get into a relationship with somewhat decent woman (decent in a very broad sense). That’s why there is a dissonance of between the fact that not only men have to put in all the effort, they have to do it for women whose value is way below the value of the effor…

I believe women are the reason why men don't view them as actual people with agency, as they are so passive with everything (at least all the ones from my circles). No real hobbies besides hopping from boyfriend to boyfriend, taking over their personalities and depending on them to come up with fun stuff to do.
