If you're 6'3" you've got nothing to worry about. But try not go alone if you can. Conversation doesn't really matter in the club because it's too loud to talk anyways. Just keep shooting your shot until you find someone. The best way if found success in bars and clubs is by approaching girls sitting down. If you pay attention, at a particularly packed club you'll notice that there are always a handful of girls sitting or standing in the corner on their phone because their friends have already l…

Ouch that sucks. Are you getting paid and looking for another job?

Really? Well that's great to hear!

Sorry to hear that man. Best of luck to you.

Well grow it out for 6 months and see if anything changes? A tall man with a beard is powerfully attractive. You may have a lot of other things to work on but hopefully it will be less than most. You're in a good position.

What happened with you and your boss, just out of curiosity if you don't mind sharing? Trying to get more information to help you.

Have you tried growing a beard? That might cover some of your scarring and improve your symmetry.

It really depends on the rest of you and on the woman. Many women do care about height, but this is superficial and shallow. However, I would love to marry a tall woman so my sons can be over 6' and not have to worry about height like I did.

What don't you like about your face? You can get a better jawline and cheekbones by losing weight.

Even so, you're only hurting yourself by not trying to expand your social circle before looking for hookups.

OP how old are you? If you're approaching women significantly younger than you then that might be part of the problem. Also have you tried dating apps or joining social sports clubs ? There are so many in NYC. More importantly, don't write off friendship with other men and platonic relationships with women. The reality is most people date those they meet through mutual friends or through family. And having a support network in a new city can only help you.

Let me ask you something different. Take a step back. How are your interactions with people more generally of all genders? Have other guys or women you're not attracted to given you similarly uncomfortable vibes? Have you been able to make friends more generally in NYC?

I think they may be concerned that if they give you their number, but the date goes poorly, then you might keep messaging them when they don't want to keep talking. By keeping the conversation on the app, if they don't end up liking you they can just unmatch you whenever they feel like it and never have to hear from you ever again. Unless they offer you their number, keep the conversation on the app until the second date. I know it sucks, but that looks like the best solution to your problem. Th…

I would be careful with tip #5, using statements instead of questions. While it may make you look more confident, when you make assumptions about people it is very easy for that to backfire and offend someone. You could look arrogant and the examples you gave could come off with a condescending implication if said in the wrong tone of voice.

Yes! I think OP is really condescending to those guys, I would have loved to join their conversation.

My problem with this thinking is that I don't want to become known as "the guy that hits on every girl".

Fair enough, I guess it all comes back to confidence.

How old do you think she was and how old are you? Do you plan on trying to see her again?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
