That actually tracks. I think for me is because one moment they seem like they’re interesting or cute and then when you get done swiping and match and give a second look you realize “.ehhhhh, nope”

Agreed, eye contact is underrated if anything. You don’t need to wait for it to talk to someone but once you are talking to them, appropriate eye contact is one of your strongest tools in making a connection with someone

Agree entirely. What also doesn’t make sense is the ones that will match with you and you promptly try to initiate conversation with them only to never get a response. Ever. Why even bother matching with someone if you’re not going to at least give them a few lines of text worth of your time?
