Sounds like a neg to me, probably some guy who just read "The Game" but was too scared to approach himself in a club, and thus went to a venue where the girls approach him. Of course it's possible to be nice and still get the girls. There's nothing inherently unattractive about being nice. What's unattractive is being nice with ulterior motives.
