How is that not correct though? I am not saying they are PRIMARY victims of war, but I am saying that you can't compare the suffering of women to the suffering of men, especially in this case. Everyone suffers.

I mean, I get where this photo is coming from, and I don't really agree with the quote, but you can't compare human suffering. Everyone suffers from war, men, women, children. Men have to go to war (in that time period), women were raped from enemy soldiers, children lost their parents. Everyone suffered, you can't compare how they suffered.

I agree. But I'm saying female models AREN'T athletic (unless they are modeling athletic wear), they don't have healthy muscle because when models look too muscular they are rejected because women are supposed to look "soft and pretty". The guy in this photo is obviously healthy and worked really hard for that body, personally, I'm not attracted to EITHER of these men. I'm saying we should all strive for a healthy medium.

I think I've been phrasing what I say incorrectly... I don't mean anorexic, I mean that models are RARELY above a size 6, any more and they are considered "plus-size" models, so although they are "healthy" to an extent (not all models ARE healthy), they are still extremely tiny. I think most girls are upset that their average body size/body type doesn't fulfill the "beautiful, model girl" that guys are attracted to. I see what you're saying. But it's not just VS models, high fashion models aren't really what I meant to say either. I don't feel sorry for myself, but I am insecure about my body, and seeing extremely thin models that are the focus of male attention is hard for most girls, even if they are average and normal themselves.

I see your point, but the fact that those clothes only fit that size woman is what upsets some people. And those models are all over every poster and magazine, it's all average girls see. I personally feel like shit whenever I see Victoria Secret models EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THEY AREN'T HEALTHY. It's just the fact that they are CHOSEN to model because they are, "beautiful". Uhm. I think whoever made this had good intentions but kinda fucked it up and this is why: That male on the left has an extremely healthy body, obviously works out and is in good shape, the male on the right is just fat. Girls that post, "This isn't attractive" are usually writing about anorexic models that look like sticks. Although, I do hate that they show fat women and say that's beautiful as well...
