"However, women are raped by men at higher rates than men are raped by women" "But plain and simple, women are raped at higher rates." "As for false accusations, men are more likely to be raped than to be falsely accused of it." "I see a lot about women not advocating for men enough. Interestingly I think men don’t advocate for women enough." I'd say rape of any kind is bad and we shouldn't try comparing how high of a score each gender gets. It sounds shitty and petty. The fact that you minimise…

So we just ignore rape when it happens to men because women have it worse?

What are the consequences in USA for not paying child support and are the enforced to the same extent on both genders. In Australia child support is garnished from your wages regardless. You have no choice but to pay it and they don't care if you're left destitute or not.

And its fairly rare for it to happen or be enforced.

At that point I'd be seriously considering 3 square meals and a cot to be a superior situation.

So a woman has no blame whatsoever if she falls pregnant due to consensual sex?

It's likley less of an "edge case" than one would expect given that rape statistics are showing a 50/50 trend. But the point of these laws is to protect the unfortunate and down trodden not rub it into their faces, regardless of how numerous they are. So what happens in the event all due diligence has been taken, but an accident happens. Both parties agreed for a good time but shit happens. She does whatever she likes. She could be a bit vindictive or looking for a bit of extra cash. He's now on…

So you think you should be on the hook for child support when she stole a used condom? Or if she rapes you?

I think it's fair if he wants but she doesn't, she should get the final say, it's her body after all and she's taking the risk. But outside of that one scenario both should be able to choose as they please.

I'm sure more men would be happy to juggle child care with jobs. They'd need to actually get custody for that though.

I've always been of the opinion, if you can do my job to the same standard or better you deserve my pay or better. Regardless of your background.
