For one, MeToo was and is good, as rape is a major issue in the film and music industries, and absolutely need to be highlighted and addressed. Hypergamy is the idea that women consistently seek out men of higher social or financial status. This is not borne out by the full data To summarize: In times of scarce resources, women do seem to prioritize wealth/"status," but as long as their necessities are already secured(food, shelter, etc) they don't mind nearly as much, though they do still prioritize it slightly more than men.
