Please. I regularly see the worst men that women always complain about (deadbeats, thugs, drug users, serial cheaters) face near zero barriers to dating/hook ups if they're good looking. At the very least, I can tell my male friends who were betrayed in relationships did not belong to the above categories. And no, it's not treated as "axiomatic". Ehh. I'm in NZ, and it's not as cut and right as it seems. There was a case some time back where a dude was given a 9 month home detention for 5 counts of SA. To be sure the law absolutely sucks, just saying there have been instances where it wasn't executed properly due to legal technicalities. Culturally, NZers don't give a free pass to female-on-male violence either (at least from personal experience).
