Ah yes, material comforts such as a roof and food! It's hardly a well paying job. Still below the national average wage, it's a pretty decent income for my age though. And yeah, you're right. My choices weren't the army or beg. I'm not very well educated, so my choices were the army, begging, or stacking shelves. I'd rather take the fulfilling career, thanks. That's one of the things I didn't like about the show. I can't remember them ever clarifying how unreliable they are. It's easy to fail if you're nervous, and it's easy to pass if you know how they work. They shouldn't ever be treated like the be all and end all. The police don't solely rely on lie detectors. Why should anyone else?
