Meh - my abusive shithead of a father tried all these arguments about my mom, too. Fortunately, the judge saw through him and awarded my mom custody. Then my father wound up in jail for assault. Your unhinged rant suggests that maybe your kids are better off.

I often wonder if people who say this have been to a university in the past 20 years. I graduated in 1996 and had tons of conservative professors and classmates, even back then. Today I work at a university, and fully half the campus is Republican. People think higher ed is all SJWs because everything they know about it is from Fox and Breitbart. And /r/pussypassdenied/, apparently.

It's actually to prevent lawsuits and workers' comp claims. But honestly, beating the snot out of shoplifters was the best thing about working in retail. $6 per hour wasn't enough to prevent us from having some fun. (Of course, that was before everyone had a video camera in their pocket.)
