There is a significant danger that they shoot the man rather than helping him. False convictions I would hope are not very common but it's impossible to know for sure with most cases. A lot of the people exonerated by the innocence project were convicted of rape. I can't find a source at this time, but IIRC it was around 50%.

Boys reach puberty later, and they can grow in height through puberty. Both were intoxicated, the victim was so intoxicated that he was more or less unconscious. Here is the story from a local newspaper with pictures. Do you have a source that says that men have to register for selective service to be able to vote? I am not a US resident, and had not heard of selective service before you mentioned it, but my googleing of if suggests that it is not necessary for registring to vote (which I find a strange and alien consept).
