Also with most of these TV "judge" shows, the show is the one that pays for the decisions. If you lose on one of those things, you don't pay a dime.

She has her own show that centers around the lives of a bunch of narcissists.

IIRC George St Pierre once said that Rogan has one of the best spinning back kicks that he's ever seen. Edit: might have been one of the Gracie brothers, I don't really remember.

I don't mind genderbending/racebending in films so long as the acting/writing is on point and it's not based entirely on someone's political agenda. Clearly this wasn't the case with Ghostbusters as it was very ideologically-driven. My main problem with the massive influx of reboots in the past few years is that they tend to be lazily written, not very tasteful, and generally come off as just being cash grabs to capitalize on nostalgia. Ghostbusters is a prime example, but with the added negativ…

Don't talk about how great it is that your main character is a woman holding her own doing whatever the fuck. Just have her do things. This is what ruined FemThor. The new Spiderman who's black, from what I've seen (admittedly, not a ton) did it very well. They had a great moment where they straight up showed some Tumblrite on a youtube video talking about how amazing it was that we have Black Spiderman™, and Spiderman just says "why do I have to be Black Spiderman? Why can't I just be Spiderman…

The endless reboots are a cancer within Hollywood.

I think Ghostbusters needs to be left alone. It's like the BBC trying to redo Top Gear with the new cast: they just aren't going to be as good as the original cast.

It might be bad. Based on what Sony decided to show in the trailers, it almost certainly will be. I like each of the main actresses, but the writing they've shown us is just plain cringey. And that's probably what it's going to be. Looks like a just another shitty cash grab of an old franchise with bad writing, but this time with a thin veneer of Big Business Girl Power™.

From an outsider's perspective it seems like Trump's success is a direct result of your kind of attitude. The left have been shitting all over the right as being stupid/bigots/hicks/whatever since long before Trump threw his hat in, and the sort of neoreactionary politics Trump has been using is a response to that attitude. It's why he's been so successful. When the other party treats you like you're a piece of shit, when politicians don't care about you or try to do anything about fixing the bi…

Total lack of humility too. They think they're on some righteous crusade, and 100% absolutely right. Its easy to hate and disrespect people who think differently than you when that's the case. They cannot fathom that they might be wrong, and that other people have perfectly valid, cogent, sound reasons to feel the way they do (even as something as sad as racism is often steeped in experience). Everyone else is just big bad Evil and needs to be taught a lesson. Vox did a pretty in-depth article a…

and it bothered me the way the guys in this video aggresively pushed him off at the end like that. Don't worry, that's how MCMAP instructors treat everyone in this kind of situation. Once there's a winner the instructor is supposed get the winner off of the loser real fucking quick, because the Marines are trained to go and keep going. I've seen worse than this in male vs male sparring. That "killer instinct" is the reason why instructors are trained to be aggressive with breaking things up.

I've seen multiple broken bones/sprains from pugil stick training, there's actually a much higher risk of injury than you might imagine. It comes with the territory when you're dealing with Marines. The instructors' standard procedure is to immediately pull the two apart when there's a clear victor and the winner keeps going. The fighters are trained to keep going, and the instructors are trained to pull the fighters apart. I see the instructors do this sort of thing all the time during male vs …

In the Navy anything visible in uniform (with sleeves rolled) needs to be able to be covered by your hand with your fingers together, and generally speaking you can't have more than a few visible or else an officer package will be denied. IIRC Army just removed any forearm tattoo regulations, but for Navy its still in place, and it's worth for the Marines.

how are they defined if not by liberality and control I'm not sure who gave you that idea, but that isn't how the political spectrum really works. In the simplest terms (this is an oversimplification for the purposes of a reddit comment, I would highly recommend you research this further in order to be better informed), historically speaking, for the past half-century or so, Democrats have generally been in favor of central control of economic matters and more liberty-oriented with social matter…

i dunno, to me they seem to be telling people what they can and cant do or say. Yeeeeeeeah, that's certainly true, but that's not a basic principle of either the left or right, and it certainly isn't limited to either party. There are plenty of folks on both sides that are all about that sort of bullshit, but if we're talking about SJWs/progressives, they are 100% on the political left.
/r/PussyPassDenied07/01/16 01:03 AM

I would definitely disagree. SJWs and feminists are pretty exclusively left-wing in terms of politics. Usually way more far-left than your average Democrat.
/r/PussyPassDenied07/01/16 12:36 AM

It's National Review, they're a right-leaning publication. Probably attributing SJWs to the political left in general as Jezebel is both left-leaning and very pro-feminist.

Yeah. Her tattoos combined are still smaller than my smallest tattoo. I currently have 5 (2 on forearm, one shoulder, one upper back, and one of my calves), covering about 3-4 square feet of skin all told. In the tattooing community I'm still on the lower end of the spectrum. When I'm in uniform with my sleeves down nobody can tell that I have ink, and though I plan on eventually have a full sleeve on my uninked arm I can't do that for the foreseeable future because it will reduce my options for…

whenever i strike without widening the arms ie using more of the back my strikes tend to be very weak also my torso doesnt spin very well 2 things help that - 1: grounding your feet well, basically treating gravity like a wall that you can push off of (specifically with your back foot) to increase force, and 2: pushing the force from that grounding into hip rotation to channel that force into your strikes. It shouldn't really be your torso that you focus on for rotation, it should be your hips. …

They simply told her to walk on the correct side of the road, and then SIMPLY asked her for her ID, name, and address. They're cops, that's their procedure. This has already been explained multiple times in this thread. Not sure what crawled up your ass and died to make you this pissy over a cop asking a lady waving her arms around walking in the street who she is.

In Texas (where this story came from) it's against the law to walk in the street if there's a pedestrian walkway, or if there isn't then you are supposed to only walk against the flow of traffic. She technically was breaking the law by walking where she was, but like most people, these cops were nice, so they simply told her to walk on the correct side of the road.

just curious but why was she given a background check? Pretty standard procedure whenever the police stop someone. If, for instance, you were to be stopped for speeding, part of the process when the officer gets your license and registration is to go back to his cruiser and double check that there aren't any warrants out for your arrest. Since they didn't have her stopped in a car and didn't have her license to run through the system themselves they probably radioed it in so that they'd be infor…

Sounds like the marine Corps is full of a bunch of white knights that were willing to let her get full of herself, but not ready for her to get knocked down a peg or two. Sounds like this is on an Army base. Root for your own and all that. Plus, the Army/Marine Corps rivalry is pretty long-standing.

I would say that you'd be hard-pressed to find a GUY who would say he could beat anyone on the base in a boxing match. Especially on a military base in the middle east where there's not a whole lot to do other than lift weights and jerk off.

Listen man, I disagree with the current state of border control more than most people, but if you're going to get out of your vehicle to harass federal agents at a border control checkpoint and then get physical with them then you are out of your goddamn mind.

They weren't the ones who ran him down, it was some other guy who was driving. So they didn't get murder charges, only conspiracy to commit a hate crime charges since they did nothing to stop the driver.

Hell, if your unarmed and attack a cop, I still generally believe they're justified in shooting you. Yes and no. Eventually he would be justified, but he's obligated to properly use the use of force continuum. While an encounter may escalate to the use of lethal force, it's rarely if ever appropriate to jump straight to shooting someone, unless the person resisting is also using lethal force.
