Isn’t the takeaway here to just take no for an answer? I don’t think cold approaching in any situation is wrong unless you are polite and respectful . If she gives off vibes that she is not interested or indeed wants to be left alone then as long as one takes the hint and leaves I think it’s ok ?

Exactly. Deleting Tinder initially just forced me to interact with girls and meet them outside dating apps. Once I had gotten over the whole concept of cold approaching I decided it was best to use both as like you said it definitely casts a bigger net

Yeah I see what you mean. Edited the original post to provide more context on the "small talk" as she did actually ask questions and it almost seemed she wanted to keep the conversation flowing. But as smoothmax said it was probably just to be polite.

Yeah this was the approach I was going to go for to be honest. Just leave it a while as the responses are really dead. The other thing is that I am out of town up until the new year so I probably wont be able to see her until after then anyway. The way I figured texting her is my only option this point. I guess I should just move on and find other girls to talk to in the meantime. Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah honestly I think i am at the point where I can approach someone but I feel I am struggling with a conversation or keeping it going which as you said is the "technical" parts I can address.
