That is very true! Thankfully it’s not many states that recognize common law marriages. And also, considering said OP will emphatically state he does not want to be “legally” married it would pretty much utter the case useless in the other states that don’t. Realistically speaking, the non-common law states wouldn’t hear such a case as there is no legal standing in the 1st place to say you were married.

What is the benefits of marriage? Think hard on that. Some tax breaks, maybe some other benefits? (Most employers let you put fiancé’s / SO’s on health insurance etc so you can’t even use that one). Why don’t you ask her if you will do everything a married couple does, have the rings, say your vows..., heck even have her change her last name and for all public appearances you are married. But just not legally. Marriage was supposed to be a union in the church. Now it’s a union tied to the govern…

Wow! Yeah she’s got it soooo rough right? Jesus wept. The entitlement is real. I just don’t get it at all. I’m sorry. I feel your pain.

You need to man. She will ruin your sanity. These types of people think they are the only people in the world that matter. They wouldn’t know what a team is let alone love if it hit them with a freight train. My marriage was the most confusing, anxiety filled, stressful, soul shattering experience I’ve ever gone through. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Every single thing she claimed she was, all promises, vows, literally every single thing out of her mouth was a lie. My entire marriage was an illu…

Mine did that within the FIRST month of marriage. Not only didn’t pay the 2 bills she said she would, the utility companies started calling saying they were going to cancel services. All without so much as saying a word. Now here’s the scary part. She blameshifted, said I hurt her feelings for calling her out on it, and then had me in her therapist’s office to have her therapist lambast me for hurting her feelings!! What in the absolute fuck!? And these 2 bills (I paid for everything in the marr…

Yes it’s on purpose. My story is very similar to yours. Yes she’s a narcissist. For reference mine was pregnant when she abandoned the marriage with the silent treatment, would not talk to me, family, friends..., blindsided with divorce.., didn’t even know of the birth, daughters name was changed without saying a word (no access to birth certificate) etc. You can not possibly believe the level of evil that exists in this world. And to top it off, it was an 8 month marriage with no marital assets…

You know where that stereotype came from? Jealous White women who are mean and nasty. Ask yourself why anyone would make such comments about the happiness of someone else and their choice of a life partner. That says everything about who they are, only further lamenting the fact of why you wouldn’t want to touch them with a 10 foot pole. They can’t stand the fact that men like someone who is actually a genuinely nice person, giving, smart, loyal, submissive, family orientated, and above all, act…

Nope it’s the norm. Blame society putting women on a pedestal and pounding in their head they are entitled and deserving of Prince Charming while they work at McDonald’s and have a hog ring in their nose. I honestly don’t know how anyone would ever want to date a western woman (Yes I’m American) but after having traveled the world for about 10 years of my life, you would not believe what you are missing out on by not expanding your horizons. You know what nation has some of the most beautiful (f…

Not when she gets a fat check from you for the next couple decades of your life (the wallet being the entire reason they were with you in the 1st place). Edit: I see the truth is hurting the women scrolling these threads with the downvoting. Yes, mine only married me for the utility I provided and has financially ruined me throughout the divorce process. Downvote all you want. But the only thing she will ever miss is when I finally get to stop supporting her. Never the destruction or detonating …
