I might be generalizing hastily. It might just be that the anti-porn and white knight factions just bark the loudest.

Personally, I think nofap is very similar to fad dietary movements (e.g. veganism, paleo, keto, etc.). There are gurus using shoddy "science" to argue that the consumption of something (porn in this case) is inherently unhealthy and that you should stop consuming it. The gurus quickly gain a community of "true believers." Of course, nofap does have some truth within it (as I've said here). However, its grander claims about porn and porn "addiction" are complete nonsense.

"Clearly they are talking about the frequency we masturbate rather than masturbation itself. Which is a consequence of today's overly and overtly-sexualised society." Also, nofap is clearly putting the cart before the horse in this regard. Excessive masturbation is caused by a hyper-sexualized society in combination with a sexual negotiation process that heavily favors women. Given these conditions, it should come as no surprise that large numbers of men simply choose porn and excessive masturba…

Well then the anti-porn stance of nofap makes even less sense. There is nothing inherently wrong with jerking off to porn, despite what the junk science says. Besides, even if the junk science was correct that would still not make jerking off to porn "improper" or "wrong." Even an unhealthy indulgence is okay as long as some level of self-control is applied. I'm not advocating for 24/7 masturbation either, but controlled masturbation can be done with or without porn.

It is a placebo, as far as short-term nofap goes. Still, the short-term benefits in motivation are real which is why I recommend intermittent nofap when you need a motivational boost. My main problem is with nofap being a permanent state because that is simply not possible.

total self-control Problem is that total self-control is an impossible goal to achieve. Now, short-term self-control (e.g. fasting) does actually have benefits. However, basic desires (e.g. food, drink, sleep, sex) eventually need to be satisfied. No one thinks that it is possible to go for very long periods of time (years or decades) without food/drink or without sleep for example. The fact that people think that this is possible with sex only shows how uncomfortable many people are with human …

No. You become crazy and delusional (effects similar to those of sleep deprivation). If you don't believe me, then try not ejaculating for 5-10 years and see how that works out. The case of George Sodini illustrates this point very well. http://kshatriya-anglobitch.blogspot.com/2009/08/anglobitch-diaries-unpalatable-truth.html

True. It should be noted though that most men don't get into nofap with the intention of becoming white knights/simps. It's just something that happens because these men have forced themselves to rely only on sexual negotiation, which is heavily in favor of women currently. That said, short-term nofap can be beneficial. It is like the difference between fasting and starving. Fasting (short-term self-willed food deprivation) has benefits. Starving (long-term food deprivation) makes you delusional…

I actually agree with your point. Just pointing out that it's largely irrelevant in the real world. Most people want civilization and thus have certain axioms in common.
/r/MGTOW28/04/17 01:33 PM

The thing is that everyone wants to live in civilization because living in civilization is more comfortable than living in the wild. People are just in denial about gynocentrism being bad for civilization.
/r/MGTOW28/04/17 02:09 AM

Well I guess it depends on whether you care about living in a civilization or not. Certain values and value systems (e.g. gynocentrism) can be shown to be objectively bad for civilizations in the long run.

This is true. My post is just about the illogical structure that people resort to when arguing against MGTOW philosophy.

You are correct to an extent. However, sometimes people's axiomatic beliefs are simply wrong. Flat-Earthers are a great example of this.

I was referring to communities large enough to have a significant presence. There have always been a small community of men in every civilization throughout history who decide not to pursue women. I am not talking about them.Plus, Anglo-American feminism has also influenced the rest of the world in a negative way. The whole manosphere is almost entirely an Anglo-American reason for these reasons. Latin men are also much more aware about the reality of female nature and the importance of having a…

The show portrays nerds very accurately IMO. Most nerds and STEM guys are very blue-pill and severely lack wisdom and basic sense, especially when dealing with women.

Hard-working women don't really need to be encouraged any more than hard-working men. They are exceptions to the rule and should be viewed as such. Just appreciate them for what they are. Women who produce genuine value don't need a feminist narrative to prop themselves up anyway.

Women, at least in America, almost never do DDD (dirty, difficult and/or dangerous) jobs because those jobs don't bring status and require you to do real work. Women also want status without having to work for it. This desire explains all the female complaints about "not being represented in STEM" and about patriarchy and old boys clubs.

I don't think everyone should be equally poor, but I do think that wealth distribution should roughly follow the Pareto Principle, with the top 20% having 80% of the wealth. The fact that the top 0.00001 % own more than half the world's wealth and resources clearly shows that something pathological is going on with the global economy. The guys at the top of the pyramid consume far too much of Earth's finite resources, and they get those resources by exploiting others.

It's important to realize that when women talk about making art, they are not talking about painting a Mona Lisa or composing a beautiful symphony. They are talking about scribbling on a piece of paper and having it considered high-level art just because they are women. Producing objectively good art is actually very hard work. Women, on the other hand, are only interested in postmodern art which is purely subjective and requires little work.

Also the common argument that "free trade benefits consumers" is total nonsense. People who consume one thing generally produce something else. For example, I buy food (consumer) but also work as a corporate programmer (producer). If my job gets outsourced to China, I would have tons of low-price and low-quality goods to buy, but I would be unemployed. What free trade actually does is take 50 dollars out of your right pocket and put 10 dollars in your left pocket. In other words, it's a net nega…

I think it's important to distinguish between free trade and controlled trade. Controlled trade generally occurs between two countries that both have high standards. The result is healthy competition which benefits everyone through innovation. A good example of controlled trade is the trade between different EU countries. Free trade generally occurs between one country that has nigher standards and another country that has lower standards. The result is unhealthy competition that turns into a "r…

Reddit is pretty liberal/SJW. Honestly I'm surprised the MGTOW and TRP subreddits are even allowed to exist on here.

I understand what you're saying perfectly, but American women do not make their decisions based on hypergamy. Japan is once again a good example to use for comparison. Japanese women do make their decisions based on hypergamy, so they ignore most Japanese men and only pursue the top .001% because the women have jobs now. However, Japanese women do not try to divorce rape top-status men like Angelina did to Brad. They do not pursue criminal men either.

But generally, hypergamy causes women to join the harems of "alphas" which is basically a resource rich environment. Women did that in the past and still do that today in 3rd world countries. Women join these harems and have kids with the "harem king." What American women are doing today is different. They are stealing the money from"alphas" and having kids with degenerate criminals. Like the article says, they are choosing extinction for their lines. That choice does not make sense from a persp…

I'm simply saying that trying to describe American women's behavior using hypergamy makes no sense. It's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole by continuously chipping away at the peg.
/r/MGTOW05/10/16 04:29 AM

The thing is that hypergamy is about preserving the future of the next generation, but American women are not interested in the next generation. They only want high-status men in order to take their money and splurge it on themselves (not even for kids). American women, especially young American women, only seem really interested in evil men. That is why there are so many single mothers with welfare babies over here. None of this can really be explained by hypergamy. It's something far more sini…

I thought so too, but American (and Western) women are clearly fucked in the head compared to women in other parts of the world. The fact that American women don't engage in hypergamy anymore is proof of that.

The problem with the TRP lifestyle is that prize simply isn't worth the effort. The "prize" for "gaming" women is screwing with sluts and nihilistic party girls. TRP guys are basically men who have chosen crass hedonism in order to get pussy.

The way I see it, women clearly do not comprehend and live morality in the same way that men do. If they did, MGTOW would not exist, and we wouldn't have all these ancient male philosophers and religious leaders warning men about women's true nature. There is a reason why almost all the virtues (temperance, prudence, justice, fortitude, courage, loyalty, honor, etc.) are masculine. Compassion is the only feminine virtue I can think of, and it quickly becomes a vice unless guided by masculine jus…

True. I would also add that the 10/10 women Western men are exposed to in the media are all fakes who use way too much makeup and Photoshop. I would say that true 10/10 women are very rare in the West.

The thing is that passing unit tests and QA tests usually doesn't indicate that your code actually meets customer needs. If it does, then you are writing very simple programs. Usually, doing things "by the book" is not enough to create a good piece of code. You have to go beyond "the book," and women suck at doing that. You have to know what you are actually doing when writing code. The reason managers love women is because they make great drones. Women don't question authority and do what they …

I think it's more accurate to say that women are wired for social manipulation. When it comes to actually accomplishing something through cooperation, men are much better at that. Female social interactions almost always come down to getting over on someone else.

The main thing to keep in mind is that geeky women are interested in these things for different reasons than geeky men are. Most geeky women are simply attention whores or infiltrators. They are the ones responsible for the recent propagation of feminism and SJW ideology in geek circles. Basically, they just want to infiltrate another male space. Then there are the geeky women who are geeky because they have submitted to the masculine. These geeky women are attached to a man (husband, brother, e…

Real deathgrip isn't nearly as common as anti-porn advocates make it out to be though. Most of the complaints surrounding it invariably end up bashing men because we won't get hard for unattractive women. Plus, deathgrip itself isn't an inherently bad thing. In today's world of dangerous and predatory women, the quasi-celibacy that deathgrip offers helps many men think rationally when it comes to women.

Thing is that most anti-porn activists don't really care about men. They are simply upset that porn allows men to leave the plantation more easily. The fuss surrounding ED is a good example of this mentality. The main issue according to the anti-porn crowd is that men don't get hard whenever women want them to. No mention of that facts that the woman might be post-Wall, fat/ugly etc. If people in developed countries really want to have an honest discussion about porn, then they need to start ask…
