Agreed. My kids are at the ages where they'd prefer NOT to be around their mom or dad. They want to do everything themselves and their friends are their LIVES. They're pretty much self-sufficient and independent... have jobs, drive their own cars, etc....exactly what I'm aiming for...
Yeah I know what you meant but the past choices are over, the kids aren't. So she could still regret the past and want to move past it and also adore her kids. Most of us - men & women - change behaviors as we mature but these comments are right - there's no need to broadcast it; it's a bad look. It's ok to have standards without mentioning past fvck ups. My philosophy is: "Learned from it, moving on."
Well arguably her kids are her present but yeah I agree that broadcasting past behaviors as reformed is bad form. It's like, if they're truly past, don't mention them, people. Move forward.
