I don't know why you got downvoted for this. I definitely don't think a guy should have the right to force a woman to terminate the pregnancy. However, he SHOULD have the right to choose not to support that child, should the woman carry it to term against his wishes. it spells out very cleanly. I think the negative comparison is easiest. Well, there's good and bad. Certainly this is one of the bad things. But on the other hand, if you actually do the work and get a nice ironclad pre-nup, it tends to have a lot more veracity in Canada. The problem is you need a prenup just for living with a girl. And it gets bad too, some provinces are ok, it takes 3 years or so before you're considered commonlaw. But I believe a couple of the provinces are as little as 6 months.

Every time I'm at the airport, I see hundreds of people heading back up north. And people say "oh you're away from home so much" but I disagree. I would rather work a 7 and 7 shift, and be home with 7 days off, than work mon-fri and only have weekends off. I basically get a 7 day vacation in the okanagan every other week.
