That's a fair statement. I do hold a grudge towards gimicky diet supplements. I find a lot of keto related items that could be replaced just by a solid diet. I by no means think that keto is a scam, but it does prey on misinformed people. I wish you luck on your fitness journey friend.

I was about to dismantle your reply, but I honestly believe you're trolling lol

I believe your testimonial is awesome! It sounds like you know a lot more than the average person I know doing keto. You train hard, have a good preconceived knowledge of keto. Thanks for sharing. I do believe more people should be more informed before diving into a fad diet.

I agree that keto isn't a brand. I also agree that you can see amazing results. I have friends, who aren't strict with their keto diet, and they bring mct oil to work, buy keto piss strips, buy keto friendly protein, buy whatever else says 'keto'. And to be honest, they complain that they're not seeing results. I feel people want a quick fix for fat loss, and they find comfort by saying they're following keto. Well, if you're actually doing it right, and have a little extra knowledge of fat loss…

I agree! But assume I'm new to weight loss and fitness. I wouldn't have that knowledge based off mainstream keto products/programs. Thanks for the reply!

That's my point exactly. For the average person, with no knowledge of actual fat loss, I feel that keto preys on that, by offering gimicky foods and supplements. You don't have to buy things labeled keto, to achieve what the diet is all about. I never purchased products from Walmart, but I do see the products and typically they're overpriced, based on them having a keto label. I appreciate the feedback!

I never said keto is a scam, I said the marketing and information in most places is a scam. In the right hands, you can see amazing results. I wrote the reply for people with preassumptions of keto and fitness in general. I'd be happy to break it down more in a dm, I just don't have the time. Thanks for the critique nonetheless!

At first I was of the same opinion, but he says throughout the entire post, he was a fat loser, and he still hasn't acheived his best self. I don't think OP is delusional, I believe he genuinely has tried bettering himself. If he didn't include those statements like "if I can do it, anyone can" I would've been turned off from reading. But he came from a place of humility, works on his body/mind, then compiled all he learned and is actively trying to help others. Fair play. If anything, just read…

The way it's marketed, yes. The diet works if you maintain a calorie deficit. But having people believe they're in ketosis for months on end, as long as they stay under a certain carb intake, is false. Go to Walmart, and look at their line up of Keto friendly snacks, supplements, and such. Someone is very rich, off labeling low carb foods as Keto. Edit: To clarify, I too bought into keto for about 4 months. Saw results and was happy. I went for a drink with a friend of mine who has a master's de…

You put a lot of effort into this. It's crazy how many people are misinformed about fat loss. One of the greatest scams of modern time. Whoever came up with Keto is a fucking billionaire.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
