Moderately attractive women will get validation from far more men than all of their great grandmother's combined from a single selfie. This floods the women's dopamine receptors and possibly fries them. We have also seen that anxiety + depression is on the rise in younger, teenage girls since 2010, which was when smartphones + social media took off.

Just like in Japan and western Europe, it's economic primarily leading to these problems. Prolonged adolescence is likely the 2nd reason. Porn is definitely another big reason. One thing I dislike about these is that they rarely focus on the women side.
