4	This has been brought up before but deserves to surface again. Women can't rape in the UK by law. Men can be raped by other men but not by women. Yes. It comes under section 4: causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent. Both this offence and rape carry the same sentence; life. 1	#TooManyMenDie Males can't be raped by a woman as it requires penial penetration in order for it to be rape (section 1 of Sexual Offences Act 2005). But women can be charged with causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent. Both offences carry a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. 6	In Israel feminists fought against allowing women to be charged with rape because a man might charge rape to get out of a rape. I pointed out that I've only seen that behavior from women. Here's another instance. Theoretically, men can't be raped by a women (according to the UK statutory definition anyway). Rape requires penile penetration (Sexual Offences Act 2005, s.1) However, a women can be charged of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent (section 4). Both rape and causing a person to engage in sexual without consent carry a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Not distracting from the article or downgrading the seriousness of it.
