I like to put it as red flags are like multiplying by 0. Any green flags lose all value because of one red flag. If you see one hightail it out of there because it's going to be the reason you break up anyways.

Yes I didn't want to be harsh and say her lack of self respect is disgusting. But to perfectly blunt she's a pathetically embarrassing idiot. And she continues to one up herself with each year shes still stuck with him.

Honestly this might be the unpopular opinion here but after a certain point in reading her story I stopped feeling bad for her. Shes still young enough to be a mom and should've left him 3 years ago but she didn't. Then she became a step mom to the affair baby and became a stay at home mom for a kid that isn't even hers. And the icing on the cake is she's not even able to go to family events or get the baby she always wanted. Her life is said but like comically so because I cannot fathom how abs…

Honestly this is the problem with western culture. Shame no longer exists and everyone wants their tiny little niche of standards to be accepted into the mainstream and if your against someone else's standards then you're a"bigot"or something.

I saw someone today point out that men want the life of men in the 60s and complain that women don't act like that anymore not realizing that the women they idolize as the ideal female archetype are actually the ones encouraging the younger generation of women to be the way they are. Whats not clicking that every single women has been sat down and spoken to at length by their grandmothers/aunts/mothers to avoid marriage as long as possible

Trust is earned, not given. To assume every person you meet as "innocent" is to assume the best out of their character unconditionally without any information about who they are prior. If you met a guy for the first time in person on a date of about 4 hours, you probably wouldn't create a joint savings account, take a vacation overseas or let him babysit a newborn child/younger cousin/sibling etc.. That's because you don't know him and naturally don't trust him. People who feel entitled to your …

I think this is why the over emphasis of "communication" within a relationship as the ultimate tactic for happiness in a relationship doesn't sit well with a lot of people on this sub. Women do communicate their needs but since they aren't met they usually have to double down and make some long drawn out conversation where the gaslighting begins. It's true no one can read minds but anyone can practice empathy which works to understand, listen and accommodate verbal and nonverbal communication.

Black women are single at this point in time because they want to be. A large majority of them refuse to divest into other ethnic groups of men because they still believe in "black love". Although I do admit my generation of young women are starting to date out but I also see a lot of asian fetishising and white worshipping when they do. Secondly I take offense with the idea that marriage is becoming elitist as that one researcher stated. I've always said and I will die on this hill about how yo…

I feel the same way over those who push "letting men be feminine" mostly because I feel like the topics of gender norms/roles in the west are talked to death with nothing new to add and the solutions to the issues are pretty simple. Nothing new is said and to shout to the sky because a guy paints his nails and cries during a sad movie isn't going to stop violence and maltreatment of women.

Men that wear feminine clothing is a red flags for me now and the best way someone explained why is because men will take the easy way out when it comes to being an ally. They won't do any actual effort os dismantling abuse towards women but they will wear pink because it's less effort to change your appearance then actually treat women with respect.

There's a lot of therapy speak that is weaponized by emotionally abusive people. Some other honorable mentions to add to your list of communication and trust . "You are not responsible for other peoples feelings". Typically used to explain away unnecessary guilt that children of emotionally immature parents feel when their parents are upset when they don't get their way, now used by abusers to absolve themselves of responsibility when they hurt you with words and actions. .Insecurity in a relati…

I remember one particular action that occurred while I was 16 years old talking to a Verzion salesman over the phone. The verizon guy basically asked if I would like to switch to their service since we weren't on their list of customers and I was said "the home owner isn't here right now". Then the interaction goes... Verizon guy: Do you know what time they'll be back? Me: Around 4:30 VG: okay... Are you a college student? Me: (kind of weird but okay) No I'm a junior in high school. This is just so icky, but I was referring more to when people use language that you would see in high level articles casually between people on the internet or even in real life. For example people who say that it "is literally eugenics" if a women has a preference for taller men or classicism if she wants to date a guy that makes more than her.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/12/21 02:49 PM

The appropriation of psychological and other higher levels of academia language in mainstream spaces needs to be called out. It is too easy for people to be branded toxic, controlling and narcissistic just for exerting their own preferences of how they choose to navigate interpersonal relationships.

I've noticed a lot of vitriol from the woke community against a women for not being on the same level of wokeness as them. An example of this is a video on tiktok about gentle parenting and women A didn't completely agree with the methods used by the mother in the video. Then women B comes and basically says that she's a horrible and abusive person and she hopes she's infertile. Like woke circles are not peaceful and come out with fucking cannon size insults to essentially splinter size problems…

Also I'd like to add that when your dating you are supposed to discriminatory otherwise your standards have no meaning. Don't let people try to shame your for your standards with their morality or political compass. Dating is the one area of someone's life that is supposed to be "biased and unfair" The whole point of standards and preferences is to filter out who you doesn't match your lifestyle and morals. If your giving everyone a chance then there is no point in having standards. There is no …

I think this is the point of a lot of "won't someone think about the men" type articles that bother me. These aren't problems where these men are writing and no one is taking them or they're being snubbed. It's just that more men across the board period aren't really writing anymore. Same thing with the whole men aren't enrolling in higher education deal. It's not systematic it's preference. It depends on what genre they're addressing. Action and horror are still pretty male dominated but romantic fiction in all capacities is women lead (especially white women) since it's a genre most read by women. To add to that romantic fiction is sells more and is more mainstream. Nobody is saying that men can't write but the question is what are they writing. Not necessarily a movie trope but a book tropes I'm done with is ·Mafia romances just period ·Asshole to Golden boy redemption especially when there is no apologies or groveling. This one is interesting because whenever I see the Asshole being mistrusted and disliked rightfully so, women always talk about how "bitchy" the female lead is and how she should give him a chance. ·Friends to lover slow burn. This is also my unpopular opinion as well that generalizations are valid and shouldn't be discredited under some BS "not true scotsman" type argument. If I see a general trend period wether it be online or offline then I am allowed to make an assumption about a specific group and it's not judgmental or bigoted to observe how a group en-masse interacts with their environment.

I think this fighting for your love thing is so gross. I honestly don't believe anyone should truly believe that someone should "move mountains" for them to be with them. When you take the phrase literally you want someone to exert an extraneous amount of effort doing an impossible task just to meet you at the expense of themselves. I don't think I could describe this as high value behavior. Metaphorically it's the same meaning and I don't think its is something anyone should aspire to. Instead …

This is a really fair point about how couples therapy and overemphasis of communication is racial and ethnically biased advice. There's so many memes online about how black people shoot each other looks when in white spaces to communicate similar to women who do the same to other women to communicate discomfort. This is also why I think so many women like villainous characters more than the hero. Villains actually love their wives and don't see them as replaceable like Dracula from the netflix Castlevania. Whereas heroes like you said treat women like replaceable parts and will settle for good enough. I don't like the men show affection in different ways cliché because I taking the extra effort to be thoughtful for someone in ways that you may not care for is like the bare minimum of empathy. When you don't meet someone at their level what your saying is that your needs and wants are more important and so your going to show you care in whatever is convenient for you. Convenience isn't compassion.

I hate this narrative of love being something that you have to fight for. It's should be something that comes naturally and easily. There may be moments that are difficult but its should be the two of your vs the problem not your person being the problem.

I also think the pick me mentality is that the traits of the men they are with is either/or. Either has money or kindness don't think it's possible for a man's positive traits to be inclusive. Good things that come from men are exclusive traits where only one person at a time can have it.

I hate how stories like these become lessons for women about how to vet, red flags etc. But worse than that I hate that so many women won't follow these lessons anyway because of how society has conditioned women to not listen to their gut instincts. My gripe is that so many men pick and choose when to put in 100% in a relationship whereas women (for the most part) whether they are in abusive relationships or average ones always put in their best foot forwards even when they have no business to. What I find funny about this question whenever it's posted on any sort of social media, is that it just proves the point that men blame women for their problems and want women to be the source of their problems. The whole men need to show emotion is such a cop out for personal responsibility. Whenever women call men out for toxic abusive shit they always complain about how "men aren't allowed to show emotion" and "they don't have support" which is a complete and totally bogus lie. It takes 2 seconds to hop on google and look up mental health resources, you can go to the library and gets mental health books for free.99. You can join support groups online or make your own. Disclaimer: Nuance. What irks me about the boundary issue is how people have no accountability for their actions and use their boundaries as an excuse to belittle or disvalue others. I recently saw on a archived post on another sub about relationships where a woman talked about how she wished that her husband would acknowledge that even though they're working on repairing their relationship from past issues, she wished that he would acknowledge that he had hurt her regardless of intent and it's …

I feel like this is one of these context situations. Like 18 and 28 is inappropriate but 50 and a 60 year old is perfectly fine (imo). I feel like the age gaps thing is more important for younger women who are just entering adult hood ( so up until like your 30's).

I had no idea about game of thrones I never watched it. But yeah the pro to the stories is that they don't require the exploitation of people, but what I was thinking is that even though its completely fictional, our minds might normalize harmful fiction. Genuine question what is the FDS rule on erotic literature or movies/tv shows (like Got or something). (Like porn is unquestioningly horrible and unethical in every possible way from the industry itself to the various different rabbit holes of kinks and the last goes on about how horrible porn is for the society.) But when it comes to erotic stories from what little I read about it, these stories affect our brains the same way visual porn does. Like you can still develop an addiction to it...

No because honestly i feel like (i am also black so I can say this) black men are leading the manosphere right now. I've noticed that a lot of misogynistic rhetoric about dating on tiktok and youtube is being lead by black men. Whenever someone is calling out a "what do you bring to the table" guy the person in question being called out is a black guy.

So I've been thinking a lot of black women especially dark skin women having to deal with being aged up as young as 5 and it is definitely a unique form of misogynoir as compared to the infantilization and chasing of youth that white women in America experience. With white women their experience is one where they are constantly trying to appear more youthful and hide their age. For them there is the threat of hitting the wall and to see aging as a terrible thing. Black women specifically dark sk…

Both men and women fall for it. Ive seen an uptick in polyamorous women on here and other social media platforms (willow smith comes to mind). That's a fair point and I never saw that point of view. But I guess it depends on how you prefer to define value in context.
