Mary Magdalene has been associated with the "woman in the city who was a sinner" (Luke 7:37) who washed Jesus’ feet, but there is no scriptural basis for this. The city of Magdala did have a reputation for prostitution. This information, coupled with the fact that Luke first mentions Mary Magdalene immediately following his account of the sinful woman (Luke 7:36-50), has led some to equate the two women. But there is no scriptural evidence to support this idea. Mary Magdalene is nowhere identifi…

That first part is good to hear, but that last part sounds almost like NAWALT. Put someone in an impossible position (predict the future for me to make my decision easier) and don't be surprised when they choose self-preservation. What exactly did she lose by telling you those details? Could she have gotten away with hiding it until marriage? That seems unlikely, so given you're still invested anyways it sounds like she made the best choice for her. Watch out for trickle truth on that as well, i…

That's a good thing to think about. When I do my bible study with her through Eph 5 and 1 Cor 7, I'll ask her about this scenario and see what she thinks. Thanks for the suggestion. How is she supposed to answer this? She can't predict whether or not a dead bedroom will happen, she's not God. If you ask her to make an impossible prediction her options to her appear as: (A) Answer truthfully and potentially lose you, or (b) Lie and say she can guarantee the future. Most women will choose option B…

You articulated yourself perfectly well here, I understand what you mean. But I think your assumption that no one can take both sides is unfounded, although you're right to not want to gang up on your husband. For example, its the opposite way with me and my wife (I'm very talkative and she is not), we did counselling with a pastor we knew very well (my uncle) and was very smart. My wife was actually concerned she would get ganged up on before it started. He had us take tests and without my wife…

Does he like to read? Maybe ask him to read: How to Win Friends and Influence People. Its very short and easy to read, the first chapter talks about the power of positive-reinforcement over criticism. He also references God often, not just a secular view. This person's response is why I hate advice over Reddit. We don't know you, we don't know him. All we know is the 4 or 5 good things you've told us about yourself (by extrapolation, you must be perfect!), and the 4-5 bad things about your husba…

Another thing to point out is don't date anyone you wouldn't be proud to call a wife. Especially at that age, emotions will lie to you and tell you you are "in love" (no such thing, love is a verb not a feeling) in any long term relationship. I've seen a lot of people let themselves get locked up in bad relationships at that age and form bad habits, it all started with dating someone they thought would change to the wife/husband they desired. I'd also point out that at 16 and as a man, it is not…

That is the point, any LTR in this culture will become more trouble than its likely worth. Unless you try to bring some societal greater good into it and raising your own progeny, but there may be alternatives still on that.

Part of the problem of BP philosophy is the effort of separating yourself from your emotions to think logically is at times a delusion and leads to an illusory reality. When men's thinking are so far disconnected from their bodies/reality and that of their potential mates, it doesn't matter if they act or speak, they will act/speak as deluded fools and the emotional woman will be repulsed.

I mostly agree. One test I have that works for my blue-pilled friends to ask themselves is: If she's traditional enough to expect a big wedding and engagement ring, but not traditional enough to take your name and take a traditional female role in marriage - she's not "traditional" she's just using your false hopes to get what she wants. who dresses like a tart, screeches like banshee, has been railed by the football team and has zero respect for the masculine "role". However, there are still so…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
