5	Car Insurance Sexism. I don't think you quite understand how our health system works. We hardly notice that we pay for it. It's mixed in with a bajillion other things we pay for, such as roads, schools, etc. Even though we do pay for it, we pay hardly anything for it at all. Like.. 1	me as a 17 year old guy trying to get insurance in the uk Oh, I see. I always thought you just didn't build any no-claims. Yeah, I know what you mean, but 4k is a bit steep. It might be more expensive where you live, idk. 4k was the highest I was offered for my insurance, and 2,250 was the cheapest, which is far more affordable for a 17 year old if they have a part time job. 1	me as a 17 year old guy trying to get insurance in the uk Isn't that a bad idea, cause you can't build up your no-claims...? It's only a bit cheaper, and not really worth it, because as soon as you have your own insurance, you end up paying lots still cause you have no no-claims. In the current situation, the only really legal way of being 17, driving a car and having a penis is to bite the bullet and pay the extortionate prices until it comes down.	/r/MensRights	27/07/11 05:32 PM
