If I had to guess I’ve probably been rejected about 5x if we’re talking about asking someone out for the first time. I’ve only asked about 13 women out and I’m 26. 5 of them led to short-term/long-term relationships. I probably go on 1-3 first dates per year if I’m single on average. I’m super picky and I usually only go for it if I’m catching some signs. Probably should note that I don’t use OLD ever and I’ve only cold approached like twice and it didn’t work.

I can take a rejection from any girl I ask out and still say hi and talk to them if I see them out but likely won’t ask them out ever again . When I get dumped after a LTR that’s a different story I get a little weird with my emotions so I just keep it at a hi or a wave if I see them out. Having small talk with someone I was so close to is whack too.

I’m with you dude. I go on about 2-3 first dates per year if I’m single myself. Not attracted to many and then on top of that the few I am attracted have to be attracted to me too so when I do find that I do my best and try to hold onto it. On top of that I’m not into casual sex so I can go thru massive dry spells but it is what it is. People can do whatever they want but I find casual sex to be gross and misguided and would prefer to find someone who agrees.

It’s not weird I (25m) do it at least once per month. I only do it in places I know there will be bar seating though. Sitting at a table alone is not enjoyable imo. I usually end up having some interesting conversation or get adopted by a group of people. It’s also a huge confidence boost to know you can just go out on your own and have a good time. I think sometimes women have to first reject a guy or not answer for a while just to see how they’ll take it. It can be a good gauge on seeing if this guy is entitled/quick to anger/controlling etc. I love these types of tests because I really will not care.

If she’s not interested now your only option is no contact regardless of if she comes back or not. You can’t be too persistent and project your high interest onto someone who isn’t feeling it.
