I also use those phrases in order to not offend or wound my juniors when I fear they have taken a wrong decision. It’s just a kinder, gentler way of pointing something out. Everyone walks away with dignity. I don’t have to make them feel small. I think that’s why women bosses are often more successful and have very loyal teams.

My ex husband used to do this. Nag and nag and nag at me for sex until I gave in. Our babies were tiny and I was exhausted. I was desperate to sleep. He’d wake me up and berate me. I heartily regret remaining with him for nearly 20 years.

I love to wear lipstick. No foundation or blusher or anything like that. But if I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror with no lippy then I think I look like a corpse. But I do encourage my colleagues to lay off the makeup. We all look better and healthier without all that gunk on our skin.

I’m a big fan of Gallentines. Get together with your girlfriends for the evening and have some real fun. Man aren’t interested in Valentines.

She said “I feel like something broke inside of me and will never get fixed after this” and she’s absolutely right. There is no going back. The relationship is over now and she needs to move on. Find herself and then find a high value partner.

Well done. He sounds super manipulative and you spotted it early.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
