9	Dating with herpes Testing is kind of pointless though. As you yourself know, the results are gonna show HSV 1 or 2, but can't differentiate the site of infection. Which still doesn't matter much, but people believe it does. For example, I've gotten cold sores since I was 5 and never met a dude that wouldn't shove his dick in my mouth. Yet, mention genital herpes and most would lose their shit.
