Seconding this. When I was at my most vulnerable, I was looking for attention anywhere, but since I've worked (and continue to), I no longer talk to anyone except those match my standards, both friendship and romantic. That number has dramatically dropped, but I am actually far more happier and stable for it.

Yup!! The handbook is a life saver. If he wanted to, he would. Anytime a guy speaks to me, I always pretend I don't know sub-text but try and keep an eye out for ulterior motives or LVM responses. It weeds out people who are trying to bait you by flirting and trying to put you in a back-burner position
