Absoultely man. I feel like I should try, and maybe it's not, but I feel like it's futile. Only thing I can do is lead by example and if anyone wants to really know I'd gladly tell them. Hard truth of life? I always wanna get better and from what I've found thus far is you create enemies that way. Some people accept it later on...most don't. Don't get me wrong I don't care that I have enemies, I actually rejoice in it but just wish I had some loyal AND strong allies. Feels good to have someone same age as me that can relate. The being unemotional and aligning it with values/principles is smart. Do you already have your purpose/mission? There does seem to be a relationship between the two books. I'm sure someone has done research on this already but my assumption, although a very large one, is that these stories are simply reprinted and edited for what is needed at the time. You guys can't see the Forest for the Trees. OP wasn't saying always put yourself in that position. He was simply stating another technique to put in your rotation. I'm curious, how long was your depression phase? I'm on the cusp of acceptance phase. Mine lasted for like 4 or 5 months. I would have moments of clarity near the end and finally it just happened. It's not like, "Oh it just clicked" but it just "is". If that makes any sense.
