I am a male teacher. I work at a good school and was trained by good female teachers. They tell me having a guy there changed their attitudes a bit. Maybe the issue is that there aren't enough male teachers in leadership positions so the teachers you are talking about KNOW they aren't going to be held accountable. Maybe its an age thing.
