This is just an opinion. And since you stated your age I'm going to give you some thoughts from someone a little older than you who's been thru this before. Being a female we are brought up with the notion that girls mature faster than guys. At 33 she's most likely in a different mindset. A 25vyear old is going to set off a nagging feeling in her. If she is insecure then this will bother her. How Can I introduce my new bf who's 8 years younger than me? Most likely she may be looking for husband …

Sorry to butt in again but you two have an amazing way of conversing. Rarely do I see this on Reddit. And Ceasar I must ask for clarification you are male yes? Because a female very well could provide the help you are offering.

This is one of the best written responses. I'm a female and I agree with his points. I'll add a little more after reading the rest of the posts. However you...Ceasar are very well written and convey in a very clear and connected way. Kudos my friend.

Ah geez. Not awful...open

I (F) think the post that said keep a awful mindset and just move along is good advice. Not every female who gets a DMthinks that the person is interested in them either I would never make that assumption. Just do what you want and never place too much...or any...thought on if she DM's you back. There could be a hundred different reasons she doesn't...and not one of them have to do with you.

Understood. Thanks for clarifying

Having been in both sales & management my entire career I agree that sales people have good social skills But if not natural they must be learned. Or you won't be in sales for long. That much I can tell you is true. I think OP's point is great and I'm surprised not more people haven't commented. Whether it's confidence, leadership, dating, sales, communication...and the list goes on and on....it ALL takes one thing..PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE If you want to be good at anything.you MUST PRACTICE

Added note. While you are correct, OP is too. I did not get the feeling at all that he came across insinuating that it works for everyone. Smiles Great topic

I vote flirting. WHY? Because if it was only for friendship SHE would have already come over to YOU. Because friendship is easy.

And let us know how you make out!! Screw society and the nay sayers How else will.you know but to ask? I for one would not let society dictate whether or not I might possibly meet the love of my life. And neither should you sweetie!!

I think you're doing great. And the ones who barely answer? Keep doing what you're doing. I would t stuck around longer than a millisecond. Because I have to ask...1 word answers? For those women I wonder if their parents taught them any manners for gosh sakes? How hard is it to say Thank you but I have a boyfriend ? Instead of keeping their eyes down and not even having the decency to acknowledge? Ugh. I'd probably smack her before I left lol. Ok kidding!!! Chat up if you want more good advice.…

The only reason is guys go up to a woman unprovoked is to get in their panties....??? There's your problem right there. If you honestly think that....somehow I think that's guy bonding ego and not your truth.... But if it is...yeah, you're fucked. Until that attitude changes I just say good luck. As for being what others would call a beautiful girl (not my words) I've had plenty of guys approach me. The ones I talk to don't come off right away as wanting to get in my panties. They approach with …

Definitely agree! In sales and Marketing career I guarantee you this post is correct. I was forced to learn to talk to strangers and get them to listen to me. So yes I can walk up to anyone with ease and strike up a conversation. After years of doing that...practice!!....it also sharpens your skills to read people and I can tell very quickly if I am talking to someone who does NOT want to be bothered. Not sure which one I'm more grateful for learning !! Smiles. Btw... Your smile? It's your great…

Try reading articles on it. Yes they too can be biased...but nothing wrong with searching them for things like Top 10 Turn offs for Women What do women enjoy in Bed Try looking at Thought Catalog. Lots of goid good stuff in there...not like Cosmopolitan mag which half the shit is made up. Thought Catalog is advice to men FROM women. And same for us gals....they have advice given to Women FROM men

Amen to that. Adding my uncalled for 2 cents...worked with a guy who wanted to sleep with me for the longest time. Loved him as a best friend....but...he had an ego so big that it turned me off. Anyone else would say yes he's handsome...great job...definitely in great shape...all that goodness only to have his ego be the biggest turn off. SMH

I hear you!!! When I've had conversations with men and explain ( not to strangers but someone you've talked to before...but still don't know well) and I explain that I just am not really interested in dating the ALWAYS SAY ..." That's because you just haven't met the right guy yet" Ugh! Really?? F'ing really? I hate that line. Hate it . I feel like screaming "I've met plenty of men and if you can't tell I'm trying to be kind & honest in my refusal to honour with you, then you're just stupid and …

Calm down!! Let's all not forget that every day we are all bombarded with news of fucked up Karen's and guys abducting or raping women. Are you kidding? This stuff is shoved in our face every single news cycle. How about that for a reason for rejection...male or female??? You could be the nicest honest guy in the world and there is no way I'd give you my number or agree to chat. Not because of YOU but bc of societal stimuli that teaches us we are f*cking crazy to give out our numbers or chat up …

It was brave as f***! Kudos to you. I wish guys would have such balls like you did .... I live in a town where that would never happen. Good for you. Keep smiling and kicking ass out there!

Maybe just write down your number on a piece of (whatever's available) and say you'd enjoy getting together for coffee/drink and if she'd like to do that here's my number, just give me a call. Very non threatening and mature, we love that. GOOD FOR YOU buddy! Keep going!!!
