How do we prevent ourselves from becoming what we detest? One thing that worries me... I mean, what if this grows to the point where most MRAs believe that ALL women lie about sexual violence? I recognise that some women do, but some actually have been and it would be horrible if they couldn't tell anyone for fear of not being believed. It seems to be very hard to find a balance between believing the victims/survivors and ensuring false accusations don't ruin lives. I just worry about it. | /r/MensRights | 12/10/11 07:50 AM
Feminists and Femiservatives Ban Raunchy Ads in the UK: "Advertisers can still dare to risk fines or imprisonment by showing women in bikinis, but if she is in an ‘indecent’ pose – for example with her hands on her hips – then the the advert will be deemed illegal"Ooooh got it, thanks. Luckily for me I reckon I'm waay hotter than some chick in a magazine, so no need to worry about competition, hahaha. Thanks for clarifying | /r/MensRights | 11/10/11 10:08 PM

What's your point? That sounds really bitchy but I honestly can't tell if you're agreeing with me or pointing out flaws in what I said... sorry. By 'these women' I meant the women who are trying to ban pornography and ads with women with their hands on their hips. I'm just trying to get clarity here, I'm sorry. | /r/MensRights | 11/10/11 09:07 AM |
Why Women Lie About RapeThis scares me so much. It gets tricky here, to be accused of rape when you're innocent is terrible, and to be raped and not believed is also terrible. I think some women don't speak of their actual rape due to fear of not being believed. And some men walk on eggshells when they're near any woman to avoid being accused of rape. How do we find the balance? | /r/MensRights | 11/10/11 08:04 AM
Girls Don't Need BrainsI am yet to meet a man who likes someone stupid. Maybe ever-so-slightly so he can impress her, which basically just involves them knowing some obscure facts, but nothing much more than that. That was just... and what was that about the ones who did value intelligence were gay men...? What?? True heterosexuals don't like smart girls? That's just... silly. | /r/MensRights | 11/10/11 07:51 AM
How do we prevent ourselves from becoming what we detest?Maybe we just decide to stop in ten years time...? I actually keep thinking about these things. | /r/MensRights | 11/10/11 07:35 AM

Wasn't 2nd wave feminism all about women's sexuality and claiming ownership of their bodies? This totally goes against all that they established. These women are making all the other lovely ladies look bad | /r/MensRights | 11/10/11 07:32 AM |

What tv show/commercial do you hate the most because of how it portrays men? i'll startThere's one going on in NZ at the moment, talking about all the rugby heads. At one point it says something like "yes we dance [referring to hakas] but this will never be drama class". Oh yes because 'real men' couldn't possibly be interested in something as weak as drama and theatre. It also pushes the stereotype of all men interested in rugby are overly macho, with homophobic undertones. Grrrrrr. | /r/MensRights | 11/10/11 07:13 AM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality?Even as a lady? Don't worry I'd never actually do that. I dislike conflict. Hence why I always feel a little nervous saying something on the internet, in case people go crazy-internet-angry on me. | /r/MensRights | 09/10/11 10:04 AM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality?Maybe I'll charge into woman's studies yelling anti-feminist stuff. Haha. Thanks for your help! | /r/MensRights | 09/10/11 06:18 AM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality? Thanks for showing me that subreddit. And I agree with you on those points. I never knew there were such intelligent, reasonable people on the internet! Haha. As of yesterday I don't think I agree with much of today's feminism, now that I think about it. Thanks for opening my eyes a little wider :-) | /r/MensRights | 09/10/11 01:14 AM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality? This is all so interesting. I'm thinking I should do women's studies at uni (college) - but I wish it was 'gender studies'. Thanks for your help! | /r/MensRights | 09/10/11 01:12 AM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality?yeah that was poorly worded on my behalf, mah bad. | /r/MensRights | 08/10/11 09:55 PM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality?Thanks so much | /r/MensRights | 08/10/11 09:54 PM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality? Those are some really good points. I agree with that, but nevertheless there are, I think, a few things we can change. An interesting topic I'll look into from here will be rape culture and both sides of that argument. Thanks so much for this! This is why I love reddit. It's a chance to refine my ideas and have them challenged. | /r/MensRights | 08/10/11 09:52 PM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality?Of course, I'm not about to start screaming that I'm being oppressed, haha. | /r/MensRights | 08/10/11 07:46 AM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality? As I am quite young, I feel that if I called myself an 'anarchist'... I'd be mocked. But thanks anyway, I get what you mean about not needing labels. I just wanted something that kinda summed up my beliefs. Obviously your beliefs are probably not that great if you can sum them up in a word or two, haha. But you know what I mean. | /r/MensRights | 08/10/11 07:43 AM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality?Haha. I agree, but how pretentious would I sound saying that? | /r/MensRights | 08/10/11 06:59 AM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality?oh ok. Thanks. I quite like the 'gender egalitarian'. It sounds bad ass. Like something you'd yell and add 'mother fucker!' at the end. | /r/MensRights | 08/10/11 06:58 AM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality? Thanks! And I think we're entering a phase of sort of over compensating... we worry so much about being racist/sexist or whatever that we start having the reverse effect, like men being discriminated against and all that. Do you agree? I love the internet. | /r/MensRights | 08/10/11 06:28 AM
What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality?So... men's rights activist refers to both? Wouldn't most uninformed people assume I was only for the equality of men or something? I was wondering if there was a name that had both wrapped up in one name. And I'm not sure about saying 'both' because you know, I think there can be more than two genders. GOSH this is all so much to think about. | /r/MensRights | 08/10/11 06:17 AM
