2	How do we prevent ourselves from becoming what we detest? One thing that worries me... I mean, what if this grows to the point where most MRAs believe that ALL women lie about sexual violence? I recognise that some women do, but some actually have been and it would be horrible if they couldn't tell anyone for fear of not being believed. 1	Why Women Lie About Rape This scares me so much. It gets tricky here, to be accused of rape when you're innocent is terrible, and to be raped and not believed is also terrible. I think some women don't speak of their actual rape due to fear of not being believed. And some men walk on eggshells when they're near any woman to avoid being accused of rape. Maybe ever-so-slightly so he can impress her, which basically just involves them knowing some obscure facts, but nothing much more than that. 3	What tv show/commercial do you hate the most because of how it portrays men? i'll start There's one going on in NZ at the moment, talking about all the rugby heads. At one point it says something like "yes we dance [referring to hakas] but this will never be drama class". Oh yes because 'real men' couldn't possibly be interested in something as weak as drama and theatre. 2	What's the name for someone who's for general gender equality? Those are some really good points. I agree with that, but nevertheless there are, I think, a few things we can change. An interesting topic I'll look into from here will be rape culture and both sides of that argument. Thanks so much for this! This is why I love reddit.
