There's no hard and fast rule. You're into a girl who likes to text? Text her, who cares. Yo build rapport with someone you match and equalize their behavior, and when you reciprocate your connection grows stronger. Girl doesn't like to text? Don't text. Pretty simple. Either way you just have to roll with the vibes, feed off them, reciprocate and add in some charisma/whatever you're bringing to the table to keep things interesting.

I agree with all that. But what I'm talking about is more of a mindset. You pointed it out in a slanted way yourself in the comment I'm replying to. "Everyone has stayed alive... So they do have some achievement under their belt... But we often view our own achievements as boring or unimpressive..." The men who are fulfilled, or are trying to live a fulfilling life, or want to increase their value on the day to day. However you want to phrase it. These men don't think from that perspective. The …

And how do you achieve that swagger, truly? Having something under your belt, as you said. You might say having something under your belt is... Fulfilling? I think you missed some of the point I was making. You're thinking only of the end state, not the journey

I liked your thought so I figured I would just add onto it a little bit. Cheers

Hahaha exactly. Live passionately and people, which includes women, will be polarized to follow you. It's that simple

I wear glasses 90% of the time unless it's summer and I plan on needing sunglasses while I'm outside. Wearing glasses is fine, it can even polarize some women towards attraction

If you're actually living congruently then women are just another aspect of an already fulfilling life. Not a goal is it. Maybe a specific type of woman, to go the distance with. But just building connections with people (not just women), and letting them run their course inevitably will lead to women being in your life if you are living a fulfilling one. Imo this advice isn't said enough around here. People act like you get women first and then everything else comes after. Nah. Shouldn't your g…

As an additional piece for people who read this and need a push to get out and be social. Get a group of friends and go dance. Once you have some basic moves, (in my opinion) it's super easy to get used to making friends no pressure if you are out dancing somewhere. Find a club in your city where the vibe is good and people are friendly. If you can go with the intent of approaching girls, power to you. But just going and making friends alone is really good for anyone. At the very least, hit the …

It's all about your mindset when you are in the sack. Don't focus on yourself if you can help it. A good starting point (even though it's cliche) really is to think about something other than sex deeply that will distract your focus. It will be really difficult for a while, and then you'll get better at it. Eventually you can get to a point where you "disconnect" the association between your pleasure and the sex. Then you can pretty much go as long as you want. Also what the other guy said: just…

You are extrapolating, I said none of these things. Also I do not view the world as this black and white. Again, to each his own. Neither of us are right or wrong. We live our own truths. I never specified what knowledge I find helpful on this sub. Just so happens that most of the knowledge geared towards seduction on here actually isn't helpful and also happens to not be the only information contained here. I never said you shouldn't have to do anything to get a reaction out of another person e…

Just re-read models by Mark Manson and I feel like he dedicates a lot of that book directly (and indirectly at points) trying to get this message across. You're totally right. Your ego wants to keep you safe, it doesn't want the status quo to change. Ego just wants to protect itself. I like how you framed the idea though that when your ego is pushing you to inaction, it most likely is an indicator that you should take action. You read body language, and it's probably the right time to make a mov…

"I feel like my single problem would be solved if I was more successful with girls..." Na dude. Everyone needs some sort of external validation, humans are social creatures. We go insane if we are alone for too long. But just no. No matter how many girls you get with, it's not about them, it's about you. Not saying hooking up with chicks won't make you feel better, it probably would a bit. But what you're talking about is way deeper than that. You have to solve these problems within yourself, in…

I mean if you flirted with her and there were some sexual overtones then you would easily know what the deal is. If that isn't the vibe yet and you want some action with her I'm sure there would be tons of opportunities to make some crude/sexual jokes while building furniture to test the waters. Worst case scenario, she helps you build furniture in your new apartment. Hopefully she doesn't suck as a human being otherwise. But as others have said if she has agreed to come to your place for a firs…

No, they are not the same experience, at least according to our subjective experience. But they are all still nonetheless controlled by neurotransmitters that cause synapses to fire in our brains. We don't know enough about brain physiology to definitively conclude that thoughts and emotions are wholly different processes. Take a look at this research paper hosted on ncbi. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3453527/#S16title I tried to link you to the discussion so you can look at thei…

You sound a little too confident my good sir. When you are feeling an emotion, or thinking a thought that entails said emotion, scientists have a hard time telling the difference. The conclusions you are trying to draw are not nearly as cut and dry as you think. Emotions do not arise only in the amygdala. Both thoughts and emotions are generally processed by the limbic system. The amygdala is considered the central processor. Thoughts are just known to be associated with the limbic system. The d…

Is a thought not a transfer of neurochemicals in the brain? I'm talking about science, the two are basically the same thing on paper, in fact I'm not sure science could tell the difference in every circumstance. How are thoughts and emotions mutually exclusive? You're telling me every time you are aware of your thoughts, you can't feel emotions? You know there is never a moment you're alive when you aren't feeling an emotion right? Hormones and neurotransmitters don't ever stop their processes u…

Spot on. Thoughts are emotions, in the most simplistic definition. You can't have one without the other. 100% agree with you

Yeah man, we are all just trying to figure that out hahaha. I think it helps to stay introspective too. Don't overanalyze yourself, always try to be who you are, but with introspection comes recognition of when you're in the right place (hopefully). I tend to be in the former group of the two you mentioned. The closer I get to a girl the more considerate and affectionate I become. No girl in my life is going to experience that until we are in a pretty comfortable place as a couple. Trying to be …

Yeah, I understand that a bit. I lost my virginity and dated that girl for a year, and then didn't have sex again for two years after that. It's no fun to desire affection, and to want to be desired, but to not be able to experience it as often as you would like or at all. Obviously having sex through those two years would have been fun, and awesome, and fulfilling to an extent. But it wasn't really a priority for me, I was focused on other things. I'm a bit younger than you (25), so my mindset …

If you think it's exhausting to talk to multiple women at once, then don't. Just because other people or men advise you to do something a certain way doesn't mean you must. There are always many pathways to success. I like the cold approaches and fierce abundance mentality pedalled here, because there are few other ways to be comfortable in your own skin and learn how to have a good conversation with many types of people. It's definitely a good method, no doubt. I don't think it's one size fits …

I think I may know what you mean. The abundance mentality should never leave you, but obviously when you get serious with someone, that requires giving a fuck and to expect something from them, otherwise how can it be a serious relationship. I think there is a fine line here. Of course you don't want to be manipulating your lover. But you also shouldn't bend over backwards for them just because now you are serious. You had a life before them, which played a part in them being attracted to you. D…

Certainly. Sometimes to combat this on dates I show up early and chat with the bartender or someone else at the bar just to get my conversational juices flowing.

Sometimes you just don't click, there's nothing wrong with not feeling drawn/super intrigued/invested in a conversation. That's why meeting a girl who tugs at you is so much fun (and sometimes terrible I will admit. Emotions are a bear sometimes). As the other person said, you'll probably have to meet a lot of boring people before you meet someone that really does it for you personality wise. Think about how many people are willing to just wait in traffic for their exit and won't find another ro…

Yeah, I was aware of that behavior from hearing about it from my girl friends. It's disgusting for sure. Are they actually becoming pickier though? Like you swipe based on looks and maybe someone has a bio that excites you, so ultimately you're swiping right on anyone you can imagine yourself having sex with or who seems cool but still meets some minimum threshold of attractiveness. You can't tell before you swipe if a guy is going to be a douche or not, except the ones who look exceptionally do…

Oh yeah 100%, I just think it's interesting to point out. Psychologically we are very different and that results in men and women engaging with the apps in a very different way.

There are some statistics that basically say almost all guys on tinder go for like the top 75% of girls while like 75% of girls go for the top 10% of men. Those aren't accurate statistics but basically - guys are not selective at all and the women are highly selective

Yeah, but pretending to not be over invested can only work so long. In texting, yeah it's easy. But once you actually start to spend one on one time with a girl, she's going to pick up on the mismatch between your words, the way you behave when not around her, and how you behave around her. I guess in the interim it can work for guys who are struggling but the goal should always just be to become a guy that people love to spend time with. If you focus internally, the external world i.e. your rel…

This is a great message. There's nothing wrong with showing your girl you love her and caring for her. What isn't ok is when you do that, and it isn't reciprocated. I think the lazy and complacent component you mentioned is where people get confused. And I think you're right, there is a fine line between comfortable versus being lazy or complacent. In my mind the comfortability would actually improve the relationship. A girl (hopefully) falls in love with you for being your authentic self. The m…

Yes, that is a good distinction to make. I agree. I'm just lazy so I figured I would try to make it cut and dry for OP so he can keep working towards his goals. But hopefully he read your comment because that is something he will need to understand if he wants to connect with women on a deeper level.

His point of being vulnerable isn't too share actual vulnerabilities. It's more the idea that you are putting yourself out there and taking chances, hence being vulnerable. But your confidence in yourself is so unshakeable that being vulnerable doesn't matter because regardless of the reaction you get, you will move on with your life and to women who fit who you are as a person. Once again, it's not about being literally vulnerable saying im sad or mad etc. Not vulnerable in terms of sharing fee…

Yeah I agree. I think AWALT to the extent that yeah, women are going to be attracted to high value men. Hell i wouldn't be surprised if sometimes your girlfriend imagines herself getting fucked by other guys. Men do the same thing though. Just like we don't run around raping women, or trying to bash the skull in of any dude that pisses us off, because we control ourselves, women are capable of resisting their urges as well.

I think if your mindset is to be the best you can be in all aspects of life, be the captain of your ship, be disciplined, the rest will fall into place. At that point "just being yourself" is being an assertive, confident, unwavering rock. Read nonfiction books and learn to navigate life with precision and dexterity

So laughable. They showed pictures of tabloids which didn't even have malicious titles, somehow linked grey hair to job outcomes, and then tried to blame dying their hair on men. Men don't make women die their hair Jesus Christ. Men get positive spotlight for grey hair because instead of convincing each other that our hair sucks when it's natural, we own our look and say fuck it, I have grey hair? Who cares I'm still a stud.
