it is not one or the other, right now who cannot get access to condoms? there are many other options other than hand out free pills. should TRT be free so men are less likely to impregnate women? it would make a more productive nation too. should we all pay for education to reduce the drains on the system? if you pay for all these things you are putting in a lot money for things you may not even have access to.

that mentality is not so great when you apply it to all things like this. would you pay more to home the homeless, feed the poor, pay for school childrens uniforms, fix my car so i can be a productive human and pay for BC as well as many other things? not such a small amount now. personal responsibility is key and i dont think funding poor life choices fixes the issue, it just plasters over it.

well i have a few issues with that, most people can afford some kind of protection so why pay for theirs? perhaps sex education is a better cheaper way to go about lowering pregnancy in women who cannot afford children. maybe a large portion of the pregnancies it prevents were in people who could support a child. i dont like the idea of other peoples poor decision making being my responsibility, i feel like just paying for their mistakes is a bad way to go about it. lets also not forget the risk…

why do you think child support should pay for housing? if the mother (assuming* this is a typical situation) cant afford to house herself the child should go to the father and if he cant house himself then it is unreasonable to ask him for money to house the mother.
