Mate when you're getting close to a year long dry spell like myself, then you can talk about frustration!

No constructive advice to add really, just to let you know you're not the only one, I know this situation all too well. If it makes you feel better you're actually a step ahead of me, you've actually had a gf. But yeah like you I'm graduating university in much the same manner as you.

I'm genuinely happy for you, really I am, it's great that you can say you've lost your v-card. But whenever I see these kinds of posts, especially from younger men than myself (22) I can't help but look at my imaginary scoreboard with a big fat zero scrawled on it and feel somewhat disheartened...sigh

I already know how to connect with girls well, I just have confidence issues and ridiculous naivety. I also enjoy that emotional connection too. But whereas your virginity is by choice and therefore doesn't bother you, mine isn't. And even though outwardly I don't really care, it does bother me to some degree that I am still a virgin. I'll be happier and better for it.

What should I think of it as instead?

Tbh the social pressure doesn't really phase me, if people ask me about my sexual experiences I have absolutely no problem going 'yeah I'm a virgin', and if they look down on me for that then fuck them (ironic pun?). For me it's more of a need to prove to myself that I can get a girl to like me enough to sleep with her. I've had maybe 2 chances that I've missed due to my naivety, but I have seddit to thank for those 2 chances. I just want it gone

For myself the fixation on sex is because I'm still a virgin at 22, and I've tried to push sex to the side of my priorities and just 'let it happen' but it doesn't really help. I feel that once my virginity is gone, the immediate fixation will disappear so I can finally get on with my life. Any other virgins among this community will probably know what I'm talking about, that sensation of waiting to move on with your life. But until then unfortunately, not a day goes by where my virginity and se…

I used to do that too, and it made me feel crap about my own lack of progress. But since I just read the advice and didn't care about people's results I've been feeling a lot better. This may not sound much to some, but since May of last year I've made out with 5 separate girls, which isn't much but once you get that first one a gateway opens up. I still have my v-card at 22 but I'm working towards it. Basically don't be hard on yourself, and you'll get there eventually

Don't give up man, I'm the same except I'm 22. I only had my first kiss in fact last May.

I've always imagined it'd be easier for me in the US, since I've heard Scottish accents go down well. I don't speak for all of the UK or Europe but up here in Scotland day game is almost non-existent, and I struggle to get anywhere with girls. Though this could be down to me (not my looks or anything, I just struggle with approach anxiety

To start, I just want to say to virgins out there that once you finally get laid it will feel as if you've finally been unchained. Oh man right in the feels, I'm 22 and I cannot wait for that day My question is I'm getting more anxious as time goes on and my virginity stands, at 20 did you feel like the girl expected you to not be a virgin? Another way to put this is I'm worried that I'll be expected to know what I'm doing when my opportunity arises, when in reality I'll be a 20 something year o…

Yeah, I'm still learning, but to be fair I never texted her for 3 weeks (I wasn't intending to text her again) and then she just randomly came back with a text

I'm not blaming my dad completely, there are other factors in play. But my dad teaching me couldn't of hurt right?
/r/seduction24/11/12 02:17 PM

I suppose you're right in some respect, times have changed. My dad was actually born in 1960, but still your point remains valid. I made the assumption he was good with girls because of some of the stories he told me when he's had a bit too much to drink :P that and my uncle told me his nick name was smoothy

Well my dad had a strict, distant father who didn't show as much love as he has to me. However my dad maintained some of the distance with me since that was the way he was brought up. Don't get me wrong he's taught me stuff before, like sports and how to drive etc. But he's never once taught me anything about girls, because he wasn't taught either by his dad, and my dad when he was my age had a natural ability with girls. I'd of loved him to have taken me out to a bar at 18 and showed me how it'…

I suppose this can be the case for some people, however not the case for me. My parents love me and constantly reminded me of the fact, my AA roots from not being taught about girls by my dad. Sure sex-ed in school gave me the basics but no-one ever taught me how to interact with girls or what to do to get girls and as a result I'm 22, never had a gf, virgin, just started to get over AA and suffer from oneitis when I get a sniff of success
/r/seduction22/11/12 09:02 PM

I stopped giving a fuck about the outcome of each interaction with a girl. I also stopped giving a fuck about embarrassment if I got shot down. I also thought of something, I had AA because I was afraid if rejection and embarrassment, but that's what happens next in the interaction. But it's all in my head, if I don't approach a girl how will I get rejected or embarrassed. I was scared of something that didn't exist. Once you figure out that you shouldn't give a fuck and people around you don't …

I know, I'm just fighting myself which is annoying me. I need to lose my phone or something. This, this is the part I hate, not meeting girls, I'm not even that nervous about the date, it's the unintentional mind games girls inflict on us former AFCs

I'll keep the community informed, however my mind is having an internal struggle atm. I sent her a the girl a text today to try and arrange where to go (having already set the day and time yesterday) and she hasn't replied. Now normally she replies fairly quickly, no later than 2 hours, but it's now coming upto 5 hours with no reply and my old self is going 'go on, send another text, do it, she'll definitely reply this time' and the other side is going 'don't fucking do it, you'll seem needy, do…

I actually prefer not going out solo, gives me somewhere to go if it all goes wrong

Exactly, I started reading this subreddit to get somewhere, anywhere with girls, I'm not looking to sleep with tonnes of women (that would be great however!) with minimum change to who I am. I've been told that I'm quite fortunate with looks, I dress well and keep myself fit already before I found this subreddit. All I lacked (and still do to some extent, its only been a month) was the motivation and the confidence, which seddit has managed to give me.

Yeah I am having a good time, I have fun trying the get the girl to smile, and I enjoy doing it. I just wish I had found this out at the beginning of my university days or even last couple years of secondary school. I'm late to the game but I'm here now!

I briefly mentioned the 'don't give a fuck' mantra/attitude whatever you want to call it. But you're right it's not that helpful, sorry

I probably wouldn't be confident enough to let her decide for fear of her not asking at all!

I'm in a similar situation, where the girl I asked out flaked, but I can understand why (honours dissertation draft hand in at the end of the week) now either that's complete bull on her part or she's telling the truth. But she has said she'd like to go out so I'm willing to believe its the latter, I'm just trying to gauge when to re-ask her. I'm thinking soon but for a day next week. If she's into you she'll say yes the second time, but as you've hit the nail on the head it all about timing. I'…

Well she seems to have responded well so far, been quite flirty with some texts so the intention is there. And we've found common ground, turns out we like the same kind of music and she goes to the same university as me. What threw me a bit was she became quite assertive, asking me where I'm from, what degree I'm doing, if I had a job etc. I'm going to try and set up a date, maybe not today (seems too soon and eager) but perhaps ask tomorrow.

Thanks man, unfortunately I made this post at 3am UK time, so I promptly fell asleep after posting. But I will text her today, hopefully not too late Edit: worked like a charm, got a 'hi, how very confident of you!' reply, thanks again seddit!

A big improvement I have gained from this community is the 'i dont give a fuck' mindset. This is perhaps the most important thing I've learned in the past few weeks I've been reading this subreddit. It's gotten me from being really full of AA and being an AFC, to me opening loads of girls and have my first wordless k-close last weekend, hopefully it's a sign of things to come. It's a case of nothing happening at all for me to 'well that escalated quickly'

Yeah, I've been a bit apprehensive of day-game due to AA, but seeing how AA just melts away after talking to one or two girls makes me think I could probably do it

You're not the only one, you sound very similar to me except I'm 4 years younger and my virginity is painfully intact. I can't really help, but I know where you're coming from and it sucks.

Ah see I live out in the suburbs of my city so everything interesting is just out of reach of being convenient And I have that dilemma with a girl I hang out with sometimes, I feel I've left it too late now. It's been about a month since we last chatted and she recently just broke up her last bf about 2 months ago now and she know I like her. I wanted to ask her out earlier but I felt the last thing she needed coming out of a long term relationship was another relationship, I feel I've left it t…

The goal may be a 'no' but if on the off chance one of the girls says 'yes' I may have to pinch myself just to make sure I'm not dreaming :P

Wow thanks for that reply, I definetly going to try that. I've got a 2 hour break between classes at Uni tomorrow and that sounds like a good way to pass the time

We have them up here in Scotland however I'm now a grad student and the grad dorms are set aside solely for the international students, meanwhile I'm at my parents because I have no money

Same here man, the university itself is quite social, but like you said the engineering/computer science department (where I spend the majority of my time) isn't exactly overflowing with opportunities. I'm new to this subreddit and from what I've gathered joining clubs seems like a smart first move. For example, I've just joined this movies society at my Uni (basic idea: watch a movie/tv programme and go to a bar afterwards, in other words perfect)

Oh man ain't that the truth, I'm doing an MSc in computer science at a new Uni, so technically I'm a freshman an there's literally 3 girls in a class of 60 an we all have the same classes so there's so variance :/
