Tax benefits of marriage aren't that great tbh. It's a few grand a year, but ask anyone how much their divorce cost. It saved my ex and I about $2400/year

Divorce and get an attorney. Doesn't matter if you can't afford it, I couldn't but it paid off when she didn't get one.

NTA. Accidents happen. Fallout of divorces is messy and I'm guessing it wasn't on purpose since your score is affected too. If the worst thing that happens to you is a credit score drop, then you get off easy. I'd also hazard a guess if she left the daughter with you that she's the AH if she's more worried about the credit score than custody

That's generally the problem. Women hope a man will change and men hope a woman won't. In the end they're both usually disappointed. I would say it's a good time to be introspective, because if you didn't change over the course of your relationship that's something you might want to learn how to do. Just my two cents

There's a lot of interesting studies on this. Ranging from how fast intimacy drops between men and women when married to attitude changes. I had a similar experience, sorry for ya bud

I don't want to sound crass nor do I have a great short answer to this, but I heard a psychologist once something like," the only difference between your spouse and your friend is that you have sex with one." That's stuck with me. I get that may not apply to all situations but for the most part it tends to be true

Daughter isn't in school yet. The current status quo is that I pick her up Friday after work and drop her off Monday morning since I work weekdays

I don't plan on getting back together. What do you mean on the sanctions?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/a-better-divorce/202206/why-many-divorced-partners-end-up-remarrying-each-other/amp You can also Google "divorce rate of couple who remarry the same partner" and I'll pull around 70% as a consensus

There are some studies if you Google it. I remember hearing it and thinking it was odd so I looked into it

I don't really plan on it, but it is worth noting that if a couple divorces and remarries, the success rate is around 70%

I was actually the more adventurous one. I think she was just bored overall, it was the longest relationship either of us had been in

I'll have to read it. Part of the issue was I wasn't well socialized and she was absolutely stunning. I'm not bad looking but everyone I ever met said I was punching way outside my weight class for looks, but not personality

she already has. She asked me if I wanted to go see a movie last week. Divorce was only finalized a few months ago

that's a high likelihood actually. There was a coworker she was seeing. My mind probably can't deal with that possibility right now

I probably won't, but I guess it's also possible

The issue is communities died. A spouse is now expected to be a lover, support, worker, therapist, and a bunch of other things that were designed to be held by an entire tribe or network of people

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
