Benefit of the doubt; maybe she was stressed out by all the kids and butting heads and said something she didn't mean. She made two distinct statements, "If I get fired" and the "real job" comment. Could be that both comments point to something going on in her head, i.e. she has some anxiety of self-consciousness about her own job and its potential insecurity. Just food for thought. Please talk to her.
Imagine being a woman that worked her ass off and made the original, "male" cut, graduates, and then finds employers know that women from that program at that school were held to a lower standard. Ludicrous.
Including psychologically induced asthma, a battered woman fleeing a tyrannically abusive husband, and an obviously gender-queer spider monster. The sewer orgy scene was a little weird, though. I hope all of the above is in the movie, but we'll see.
