A bunch of reasons: Missing fathers No recess Boxes and Screens Mandatory Testing Female teachers BPA Politcal Correctness ... There is no one reason. The solution is school choice. It doesn't have to be vouchers, it doesn't have to be private schools, it could be different public schools or charter schools - there should be more than one style of school available.
