A lot of them argue about it on a social level. All border guards ask you questions, often weird. I will note that if you're COMING BACK into your home country your country's guards are usually a little friendlier. I know this because I used to work with Canadians who insisted the American guards were rude and the Canadian ones were nice. I've had the opposite experience and so have most of my coworkers. Eh, social studies have been a big shit-show for a while. The hard sciences are mostly okay still though. Even my "Environmental Ethics" class, which deals with a very politically charged subject in the USA, focused entirely on the scientific way of thinking and attempted to stress critical thinking on the subject more than anything else.
